**Alexis feels the blade slide ever deeper into her foe, her vision and consciousness fading away beneath the crushing grip. She suddenly snaps back into focus, however, to find her head restored and her foe distracted by an ironwood spear to the eye and an arrow in the arm to go along with its apparently lethal chest wound. The monster collapses and is finished.
Dr. Smalls moves to help Emille.
Laghairt emerges from the lower decks with a feverish-looking teen in his arms.**

In front of Deck **The stone beast grabs the pinning blade in hopes of freeing itself, giving Darby the chance he needs to stab it's softer tissues. The bloody beast wags its remaining tentacles in a pained fury, the beast's powers compelling Darby to quiver and spasm.
The magic in the area is momentarily pulled into the fire-beaming ooze(wet clay?)-frog's thick middle area, shortly followed by a the tip of Kaia's blade poking out of the monster. She seems to be getting pulled back in, however. Kage can sorta make out a watery cry for help along with some frog-directed cursing coming from within the monster. The monster's limbs become four back-tentacles and a shifting number of claws and legs.. on the plus side its feather has finally disintegrated so there shouldn't be any more drastic transformations.**
Laghairt - Esyllt, this girl needs help. She's an Enforcer I've met before. I'm not sure what those monsters have done to the kids, but they all seem to be dried up. Most likely the same thing is happening to her. Greta doesn't seem to be on board with the other children.
Kage pulls out his crystal daggers as he changes course to go an charge at the thing holding Kaia. He shrouded it and his path as he ran at it on silent feet with no trail as he moved to slice at the things "stomach"? thing area.
On Deck **Esyllt also dashes to the exhausted child, placing a hand on the latter's head to check her temperature. She continues her inspection with one hand while fishing out a bottle of some liquid with the other.**
Esyllt - "I think this is some kind of transformation, but she is still in the earliest stages so perhaps..."
**The dryad stares at the bottle for a moment, checks the sickly teen once more, and then holds the child's head up to administer the contents of the bottle. The feverish girl almost immediately begins to convulse, prompting the dryad to cast soothe in hopes of successfully bestowing the entire dose.**
Esyllt - "She's going to expel the infected parts!"
**Javert storms downstairs along with his (once again closed) case, apparently determined to confirm Gretta's absence with his own two eyes.**

In front of the ship **The ooze-frog attacks the darkness with its fiery eye-beams. It clearly doesn't know where Kage is, but any beams the jakari chooses to (easily) dodge will hit the flammable dock.. in anycase, closing in on the ooze-monster reveals that Kaia's vortexes are still grinding it up - the monster just doesn't seem to care. It's like she's stirring the thing. Another thing Kage notices is that the blade suddenly pushes over half of herself out of the monster. This push appears to be the last, however.**
Instead of dodging the fiery beams, Kage simply uses his ring to redirect them back at the monsters face. When he finally gets close enough to the thing, and Kaia is sort of pushed out, he grabs her (sword form first then physical if still manifested) and does his best to pull her out.
Darby spasms, clutching his right sword even harder but letting go of his left sword as his arm twitched back to his side. Darby dropped to his knees to try to control his quivers, and formulated a desperate plan. He cast Tip to form a trowel over his left hand, and tried with all his self control to jab it into the monsters brain area, and scoop out whatever bits he could.

On Deck **The eel had been the last opponent on the ship, although the crippled, partially transformed but featherless Ahab remained lying off to the side in shock.**
**Esyllt immediately places both hands on the child the moment the entire dose has been drunk**
Esyllt - "The drying. I'm going to-"
**The convulsing child cuts off the dryad with a sudden expulsion of her stomach's contents. Although the medicine, which must have been magically absorbed, is not present the blue-black feather bits leaving her body seem quite unnatural as well. The child's convulsions do not stop there, however; the still unconscious teen soon begins to violently cough up blood and bits of dried-out flesh that also seem to have feather bits fused with them like some sort of horrible fungus. Esyllt gets ready to cast-**
Esyllt - "- restore to keep her alive! But I can't over do it or it might block off the deeper feathers.."

In front of ship **The returned beam sear across the monster's face, distracting it while Kage grabs the blade with his glove-protected hands and pulls. The sword is entirely dislodged, but her nebula form is no where in sight. Kaia's mental cries for help and statements of thanks change to a fearful, but more determined tune once she's freed from the beast.**
Kaia - <Don't let it grab you!!! Dive into the water, I have an idea!>
**Her mental voice still sounds pained, however. Perhaps the nebula form still exists?**
**Darby and the stone-monster's battle continues a far distance away from the monstrous clay/ooze-frog. The monster continues its attempt to dislodge the pinning blade with one hand while digging the long, dagger like claws of the other into Darby's scooping hand. The spasming hero gets the impression he could come out on top here, but he might be downed a limb in the process. Although his twitches also appear to be steadily increasing in speed, that probably isn't good.**
Laghairt grabbed onto Arl's shoulders to keep her from moving out from under Esyllt's hands.
Laghairt - I'll help you keep her still. These feathers, do they have any tie to the spirit world? One of those monsters I fought, the swordsman, he seemed to be partially tied to it himself. And the god-crow is tied to it as well, right?
Unable to reliably stand, Darby had to go all in on the creatures headspace and pray that he killed it, and also pray that whatever was causing his twitching stopped soon enough for him to not be helpless to a second monstrosity that may or may not show up. Darby let go of his right sword and re-cast Tip to form brutal stabbing claws over every finger, and fell towards the creature between spasms, plunging his right hand into the monsters skull area alongside his left hand. He hoped his own quaking would help drive his weapons deeper.
Darby's right arm is equipped with an unbreakable gauntlet, if that helps anything.

Esyllt - "Dr., could you clean- thanks."
**Smalls wastes no time before flowing freshly created water about to clean any lingering blood out of Arl's mouth - and to get the worst of it off the shirt she borrowed from Laghairt as well. The girl's eyes flutter open for a second, remaining half open just long enough to have glance at her saviors before closing once again. The child rests peacefully in Lagharit's arms.**
Esyllt - "We're going to have to do it again once the bottle refills to make sure there isn't anything left in her."
**The cleric lets out a sigh of relief before continuing.**
Esyllt - "As for your question, Laghairt, the passage crow legends do make it sound like they have some sort of tie to the spirit realm. So I suppose the Yue-Yue would as well? Unless it lost its connection when it became whatever it is now". Which monster seemed tied to the spirit realm?"
Dr.Smalls - "Was it the thin monster?"
Esyllt - "It was. Does that mean-"
Dr.Smalls -"Perhaps the safazni tale of how the belmaestrocucito are made is accurate, then? But why wouldn't the bruttezzaavanzi have been effected... in anycase, I still hear the sounds of battle beyond the crates - all able hands follow me!"

In front of ship, beyond crates overturned on the deck.
**The rabid, wild flailing of Darby and the stone monster might have become thing of legend had any seen in besides its own frantic participants. Or perhaps not even them; such leisurely activities as 'seeing' may have been luxuries too rich for those who lack time enough to do anything besides spasm and tear, scream and pull, rip and smash! The hectic battle ends with the stone monster dead and Darby close to it. A man's arm was not meant to have so many holes...**
**A claw had whipped out of the ooze-frogs stomach, but Kage's quick movements land him in the water instead of the beast's stomach. Kaia leads him under the dock with a dock.**
Kaia-<I knew it! The boards are sagging. Even this bizarrely well-supported dock with its.. dozens of pillars... can't handle that thing. The weight crushing my nebula body was too much... I bet it can't swim!>
**Kage notices some of the sharks have begun to waft over to his location. That's unusual. Perhaps someone had been feeding them?**
Laghairt - Esyllt, do you think you can handle any convulsions she might have now that the first dose has done its work? Sounds as though Dr. Smalls needs help with more of these monsters.
Dr. Smalls, other side of crates - "Esyllt, we're going to need your help! Olus is in dire straits. Kag- no, there's someone else on the dock... He must be the third voice!"
Esyllt - "Perhaps we should move her to that crate? The one with the opened side so there aren't any surprises. I can act from there."
**Note, this post assumes the thing is actually on the dock above Kage that is sagging.**
Kage took a moment to assess his situation. Random crazy sharks inbound, super heavy thing above. He wasn't going to get out of this unhurt if he didn't act quickly. "Kaia, I need your help. I don't think that even with all of the healing magic the good doctor has available he could mend my body from an attack from all of those sharks. But, everyone else might fight that thing and get sucked in. I need you to cut some supports, if you can, and then go join the Dr or Esyllt whoever can grab you to speak with you. I will be stepping into the land of nod for the next 10 minutes. After that time I will come back out. Please ask them to wait for me and try to clear this area of things that might block my exit and possibly kill me upon my return." With that Kage threw Kaia in the direction she thought best and stepped into the land of nod for the next ten minutes.
Below the Docks Kaia - <Got it. ..Sorry about the sharks.>
**The sword sets begins her carefully calculated assault on the dock supports..**

**Moving past the taller stacks to find one upon which he can set his charge gives Laghairt a better view of the docks. It seems that the only figure that isn't lying in or huddled before a pool of its own blood is a giant clay-ooze frog monster. The beast stumbles about blindly, lines of fire where its eyes presumably used to be, lashing out at the empty air with its four back-tentacles and an ever-changing number of clawed limbs.
Eysllt finishes getting into position to clearly see the wounded, standing only a few yards from Laghairt. She first casts restore rapidly bleeding out dual-sword wielding man she's never seen before, but sends one Olus' way soon after to augment his own healing attempt. Her sister-bow floats nearby, the possessed weapon knocking an arrow just in case dual-man was not actually on their side.**
Dr.Smalls - "Grand work Esyllt. Quick! Before the frog reaches them!"
**Smalls dives into the water, and is immediately besieged by the crazed sharks Kage had avoided.**
Dr.Smalls - "Right! **Punches out a shark's gills** Perhaps not - **Pulled under for a few moments, pushes himself back up using another shark** through the water, then!"
Laghairt ran down the ramp to the dock to help Dr. Smalls onto the dock. Then the Ogofta shoved his Lavaforge Left Hand into the water to grab one of the sharks that Dr. Smalls had been dealing with.
Emille backed away, watching from her position on the ship. She felt a bit weak still, but strong enough to stand for a good amount of time. Who was this guy, able to lift something that big out of the water?

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
**Dr.Smalls moves away from that particular shark, perfectly content to have one less adversary in the impromptu shark-wrestling deathmatch he's found himself in.**
Laghairt hauled the shark from the water and then proceeded to grab its tail with his normal hand. He then launched the mighty fish, teeth first, at the clay-ooze frog monster.
