**For a moment the outside world had begun to fade away, only to snap back into focus when Laghairt broke the eye contact between the two. Alexis had suffered a momentary headache from the mental whiplash, but otherwise felt fully capable of using the gaze again. She's need to meet his eyes just a bit longer...**
Javert - "I agree with Alexis. As I said before, if I had a better lead I'd be following it. There was no one else in the house and I don't know anyone that was looking at her funny. Granted, any that were looking at her funny wouldn't do it when I was watching, not if they wanted to keep their eyes."
**The man scratches his chin as he ponders a bit deeper.**
Javert - "There was that band of warg-hunting hooligans I helped drive out of the area a few weeks back - Kage remembers them. But I've already checked their old hidehout, looks like they never returned. Hard to imagine either of the two survivors would care enough to grab her.. or have the skill to do it. They were workin' for someone mysterious boss though, I've been wondering if-"
Esyllt - "That doesn't explain the other kidnappings though. Javert lives at the edge of the woods, but most of the kidnappings occurred within the coastal villages. No one has seen any trace of the kidnappers."
Dr. Smalls - "If I wasn't sure that these monsters existed I wouldn't suspect them either, it's quite the tale. But I assure you that the book of knowledge is very real, and if it claims the Yue-Yue exists then I would bet my life on it being so."
Kage spoke up to Alexis in a cheerful voice, "I realize this is your first time with the good Dr. So allow me to elaborate on a few things. His stories seem strange, his tales taller than the machinist buildings, but I stopped doubting them the moment we went through the trials to locate The Book Of Knowledge. It is an ancient artifact that will give you the answer to any question you ask of it, and as far as I know none of our answers have been wrong. The trials themselves were incredibly strange, but back to the point, the Dr asked how to find a particular item. If these are the steps it laid out to follow, then I have no doubt it is wrong. As to it's safety and your ending sanity, however, I make no claims."
Kage just smiled more. "Do you really think that would stop us?" Then realizing he hadn't introduced Kaia to the others from the trials, he asked her if she would like to say hello. If so he also then asks everyone, "Please don't be alarmed. Your magic stuff is briefly going to flicker off so my friend can say hello."
Alexis - I refuse to believe in prophecy and fear that the longer we follow the murmurs of an ancient text, the more likely this child is to be found dead. I will still aid you and I hope to be proven wrong but I must voice my objection.
**Kage's sword suddenly sucks in the magic in the area, a flickering that likely goes unnoticed to most. The smokey burst that leaves behind Kaia's nebula form, however, is far more visible. If Kage did not notice it before, he happens to notice that Javert's case gives off the tell-tell orange glow of an enchanted item.**
Kaia - "Hello! My name is Kaia Alliel, I'm Kage's partner - I'm possessing his sword as it were."
Esyllt - "I don't think I introduced myself to everyone either, my apologies. I'm Esyllt, and my sister Rowena's soul inhabits my bow. She can only speak with people who hold her, though."
**Those previously familiar with Esyllt may remember the not-actually-described-smalltalk during Mr. Plum's wedding where such an important piece of information was definitely, definitely shared.
The introductions are suddenly cut short by a wagon turning down the path ahead. Well, more like a large, very overstuffed cart. Tratorious and two other men garbed in concealing clothes appear as well, the latter group trying their very best to drag the vehicle along the very uncooperative forest path. pulling the vehicle along.**
Dr.Smalls -"Ah! Tratorius convinced the traders to come to us! Very good, anyone that could use some last minute purchases can stock up before we set off. In fact, **Tosses pouches filled with 100g each of those present** let's make sure we have everything we need. I am well-stocked for this journey when it comes to food, clothes, and general equipment so don't worry about that.
The traders just happen to have whatever you wish to buy, should that thing be buyable at a shop somewhere else.
**The bloodstone imbuing is done without delay by the skilled hands of the traders.**
Noble Fire Bloodstone Imbue: The lavaforge pole can become an intangible flame that flows into Laghairt, fusing with a part of his body and granting that body part its powers until commanded to flow back out. Furthermore, Laghairt may have the pole instead fuse the pole with any other willing ally. It must be touching any body parts it is to fuse with, and any body parts so enhanced are flushed red as though carrying a fire just below the surface.
**Tratorious slips into the woods and disappears while the others finish their purchases.**
Feel free to mention what was purchased at a later time.
**The group sets off once again after finishing their purchases, making haste to reach Javert's brother's ship. They soon find themselves a mere grove away from the coast, having bypassed the town entirely.**
Javert - "Right, if your message was correct then he'll be just beyond these trees. I was hoping your friend 'Tratorious' would have pass me the response before vanishing again. What sort of operation are you..?"
**Javert's suspicions are cut short as the group's movements bring them within view of a large, slate grey vessel tied to a makeshift dock. The name 'CrowHunter' is scrawled along the side, the red paint faded from years of wear.
A man who looks the spitting image of Javert, save for a slightly larger nose and sparse white hair to contrast his brother's brown, leans over the railing with a pained.. and somewhat dazed.. look in his eyes.**
**As Lagharit closes in on Ahab he notices that the man is slightly quivering as well. He also notices that one of the spittled bits of phlegm looks like a blue-black bit of hair. No, wait, maybe it is a bit stiffer than hair..**
Javert - "HOW AM I!? How do you think I am! I'm.. What's going on with you?! You were practically born with a boat caught on your leg and a sail on your backside. Was this lot keeping your sickness a secret from me, Ahab? That why they didn't mention your response?"
Ahab - "Response? Wha-"*HACK HACK WHEEZE* "I'm sorry brother. I'm am so very sorry. About Maritza. I really am. S-sorry."
Javert - "GRETA IS MISSING. Did you not hear that!?"
