Disgusted at how much fight this thing still had in it, Emille let the horrific monster take her shoe. The girl slightly off balance wearing only one shoe, she took a little extra time to stand, looking to lash the eel head to get it to drop her shoe close by.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
On Deck **The eel head hangs on tight, the blinded thing biting through the abandoned sole in hopes of feasting on the sweet, sweet foot it believes is inside. The tail whips around, lashing at the air in search of a target.
Dr. Smalls and Esyllt appear to be almost done with their opponents.**
----
Below Decks **The well-kicked Binge pushes forward in a clear attempt to grab at Laghairt's eyes. The monster's cursing turns into an intelligible yell when the forestgaurd begins tearing into his bag-flesh from behind. It is soon joined by a rot vulture.
A disembodied voice suddenly rings out from the back left corner of the room.**
"KEEP THE LIGHTS ON. OR OFF? NO WAIT, THEY'RE ON. KEEP THEM ON!"
-----
In front of ship **The monster pounces again, slamming into Olus' elbows and finding itself slammed back into the ground with a sickening *crack*. The increasing lightheaded Ogofta sees his own blood mixing with that of his heavily injured foe. Foes? It's hard to tell how many.. if only if the world would stay still...
The other foes had thus far prevented Kage & Kaia from reaching Olus, but their fight was going well.**
Laghairt reached up to protect his eyes with his right hand and pulled the cloak's hood over his face. The Ogofta stopped grabbing at the tear and instead tried to punch Binge in the side of the head with another superheated punch.
(BP: 149)
**Laghairt's punch hits Binge square in the face, the latter trying to turn towards the foes literally ripping him apart. He lashes without any focus at all now, desperately trying to grab and slay the summons that have fallen upon him. Rancid meat and other stuffings flow from the large tears that have been made all over his body. He isn't even yelling anymore.**
Kage moved over to try and protect Olus. He kept up shrouds over the enemies so they couldn't directly see him. He also drew out his hydroblaster and decided to spray the head spider. He left Kaia to do as she saw fit for now.
Alexis took one hand off the blade and used her forearm to cover her face as she looked to the ground, attempting to shield her eyes. With her other arm the woman pushed the blade in deeper.
Now free from the eel's grasp, the girl watched the blinded head flail about aimlessly before lashing the Firecracker toward the base of its neck, trying to get it to drop her shoe.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
On Deck **The eel breaks through the shoe and learns the folly of its ways when there is no tasty foot to be had. The pained creature, bleeding black goop from the rough lashes, desperate fires a blast of acid towards the source - specifically at Emille's chest.
One-handing the sword through the remaining thick flesh is difficult, but Alexes makes some progress. The monster's painful roars do little to weaken its grip, if anything the hand that now grips Alexis' head squeezes with more force than even its previous motions had threatened..
A few images sit in the back of the Alexis' mind, the results of her gauntlet's impressions having been momentarily loss in the rush of adrenaline. A clear picture of this monster... a very vague glimpse of the bag man and thin monster that had ran below decks.. and glimpse of some guy with a basket on his head she hadn't seen at all... and a fairly vivid impression of the fifth wielder - that girl she had remembered earlier.**
----
Below Decks **Bilge stumbles forward from the force of the kick, his blows finally managing to take out a summon for another to join its place. He collapses in a pile of oozing flesh and redirects his efforts to simply cursing really loudly as his limbs hopelessly flail about in increasingly pathetic ways.**
----
Outside the ship
**Kaia continues her intense battle against the multi-limbed fire-breathing ooze monster that was once the crossbow wielder.
The severely wounded face monster pounces towards Kage, but the speed of its attack is greatly weakened by the water slowing it down.
The stone-brainy monster blindly charges towards Olus, apparently not even bothering to try using its eyes anymore.
Olus, for that matter, appears to be alive but in dire need of medical aid. He appears to have healed himself enough to not be in danger of outright dying, but his face is a wreck and the quantity of Ogofta blood on the deck suggests there isn't a whole lot left in the container.**
Laghairt charged down the now cleared stairs, his left arm still glowing red and his body still wrapped in the cloak of light. If he didn't see Percival, he headed to the back left corner of the room.
Laghairt - Who was that just a few moments ago that yelled about the lights?
**He sees no sign of Percival. The disembodied, rather emotional voice echoes from the corner again.**
"The kids are in the crates! I'm Cee, talking bird companion of one of the captured kids. Most of them are dried out or something butMarslesaidArlwasholdingout so open the chained crate NOW!"
Laghairt figured that if the disembodied voice belonged to something that wished him harm, it would have helped Binge during their fight. Relying on his two light sources, the Ogofta went over to the the chained crate and pulled at the chain with both hands to break it.
Earlier that week, Darby heard tell of some kidnapped children, but there wasn't a bounty up for the perpetrator. So if someone finds out who was doing it, and brings it to the attention of the Peacekeepers, that person would definitely get first crack at the bounty. Here's a chance to be a hero, earn some bucks, and probably the kidnapper wasn't even a deposed Elvish deity. Easy Peesy.
Earlier that day, Darby finally found the location the clues had pointed to, a little known dock south of Elexia. Unfortunately, he couldn't see the boat there, so he thought he must be too late, or perhaps at the wrong dock. Damn, this was starting to weigh on him. Darby took a seat at the empty docks and wracked his brain, when a new group arrived. Could this be the kidnappers? Maybe Darby wasn't too late after all.
It wasn't the kidnappers, it was the quest group, and they all ran aboard an apparently invisible ship.
After a few moments of confusion, Darby was able to convince himself that there was indeed a ship there, and the ship appeared before him.
"Insane monsters? Again? Every time." Darby got some rope.
*Now*
Having finished preperations for his dramatic entrance, Darby swung into action, cast Foothold to get some extra distance, and planted his right foot into the side of the Stone-Brain monsters head from above. Hopefully his body weight and momentum could bring it down.

Below Decks **Tratoroius moves on to opening the wooden crates while Laghairt finished snapping the chains (a task of only moderate difficulty for the massive warrior). The metal crate itself is unlocked, opening without further resistance to reveal a rainbow-haired girl snugly inserted into the crate's padding. The unconscious child looked to be about thirteen years old and appeared to be alive... but her rapid breathing and profuse sweating suggested something was very, very wrong.**
---------
In front of ship **The monster stumbles forward and onto its back as Darby swings into it from a particularly massive tree that had made its home near the coast. Old Plant magic experiment gone awry, perhaps. The more modern anomaly wags reflexives fires its tentacles in front of it as it falls, nabbing Darby's leg in the process.**
Darby swore and drew his sword, then impaled the tentacle at a spot near his leg so it couldn't squirm out of the way. Then he activated the swords magical property, pulling it into two swords, and attempted to saw the tentacle in half from within.

Laghairt threw a shirt from his void pack onto the girl, Arl if he remembered correctly from the tournament in Greevan, and made his way back to the stairs.
Laghairt - Cee and Tratorious, I've got to get her to Esyllt. If she's healed, she'll be able to help. Cee, point out Arl's armor to Tratorious so he can bring it up for her.
He charged up the stairs, intent on getting the girl to Dr. Smalls and Esyllt.
Seeing the man flying in to kick the one monster was quite the sight for Kage. He stopped shrouding that monster figuring the other guy probably couldn't see through darkness. He made sure Kaia was still in an advantageous or even not losing situation with the...whatever the heck that thing was...that she was fighting. He threw the newly available shroud over himself and did a quick jump to the side towards Olus as he pulled his dark dagger and had it stab into a shadow to come out from the ground about where he had previously been standing.
Below Decks **A freepara dislodges itself from beneath a cloak in the middle crate, taking flight to land on moving ogofta's shoulder so as to get a better look at the current state of his suffering companion. He opens his beak, but the sound resonates closer to Tratorious.**
Cee - "She was the only one with armor, and it's all at the top of the crate!"
**Tratorious makes no response until after ripping open the last crate - a brief glance shows that all of the other children appear to be freshly dried out husks.**
Tratorios - "She isn't here."
Cee - "Marsle took Greta last night! Are you friends of Javert?"
---
In front of the ship **Kaia's battle against the mulit-limbed ooze-frog formally known as the crossbow wielder appears to be.. going. Looks like it has fiery eye-beams now - Kaia must cut the old mouth in half. Wait, did its tongue just grab the hilt and pull her in? Yeah, ooze-frog just ate the sword. Also, the dock is on fire. That's probably bad.
Darby's attack works like a charm, explosively removing a tentacle and freeing him from the creature's grasp. It turns to look at the adventure, remaining tentacles waving about menacingly.
One must wonder if the head spider, now bleeding out its bottom as well as from its top thanks to the shadow dagger stab, hates its life. What emotions still remain within the tortured former sailor? The little monster that has been so completely stomped by these mighty warrior-mages?**
Kage continued to move around and keep the tiny head away from him. He also maintains the shrouds. He then sprays the dock with the Hydroblaster to put out the fire. To Kaia, "Are you ok?"
Darby took a step back and analyzed the situation. The stony kidnapper had its head near the ground, but was slowly getting up. Darby noticed that it's tentacles protruded from it's head.
"I bet that's a soft spot." muttered the adventurer. Darby switched the sword in his right hand to an underhand grip, and drove his right sword downward through a tentacle, attempting to pin the beast to the deck. Then he let go of the sword, and tried to impale the top of the monsters head with the duplicate sword in his left hand, hoping it was a soft spot on an otherwise stone-skinned creature.

While the battle on and around the ship was going on, Gigan stood amongst some bushes on the path to the dock waiting for Laghairt to return. The monitor lizard had managed to snag the drake scale his brother had gained from the blind man at the Ghostguard. Gigan played with the shiny thing for a while before he eventually got it stuck to the top of his head and couldn't remove it.
