Jacques led them through the underbrush in the dead of night, until they were able to see the sewer entrance. It was guarded by two of the most unhappy soldiers ever seen, walking back and forth with their way lit by Lantern spells.

Jacques whispered - "Remember - silence is of the utmost importance."

Ginko, whispering - "When it comes to machinations of our enemies, you will wreck much less if you're reckless."

Ginko, whispering - "If we are noisy now we will be silent forever after. Dupree, do we need the guards to leave their post?"

**The woman sighs**

Ginko, whispering - "What if they scream at the mere sight of you? Why not craft a story that prompts a different response? We want them to leave their post, and do so in a way that doesn't involve sounding the alarm. Create a small issue they feel they can solve themselves, perhaps."

The head of the guy on the left suffered from a dramatic increase in momentum in an unexpected direction, and he fell over.

Upon hearing the epic whump noise, the other guard turned around, and caught a glimpse of Graves in all his glory. He started screaming very loudly. "WWWWAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!" (Its also an embarrassingly high pitch)

**Ginko casts whisper, sending a message directly to the living guard's ears.**

Ginko(Whisper Spell) - "Yell 'Nevermind! False alarm!' Yell it now or die!"

Jacques groans quietly as the hammer drives into the mans chest, ending his scream and leaving him breathless.

"We have to hurry. Everything has to be much faster than I planned. $#!7 !"

Jacques runs to the sewer grate and begins casting Torch to cut through it.

Brodin tapped the flat edge of his hammer as he waited for the grate to be broken through.

Brodin- Hammers are blunt for a reason, lad. I don't think he deserved his chest carving out.

Dupree steppe back from the gate, with most of the rungs on the top and the right side cut through.

"I could use a hammer here, gentlemen"

Brodin nodded, sizing up the immediate hammer blow so that it stuck at the opposite end of the grate to where Grave was already pulling it. Hopefully the resulting torsional force would cause the whole thing to twist and break apart.

The gate came down in short order, and everyone was able to climb over it.

"Remember, it's straight to the turn, left, past two tunnels, right, and look for the symbol. They know we've got in through the sewers now, so they'll be sending in a squad to find us. I'll create a false trail so they maybe don't find the hideout. GO!"

As he spoke, Jacques was fumbling in his belt pouches, clearly having a bit of understandable trouble bending his fingers as nimbly as he must have once upon a time, and produced some wire. After he was done speaking, he began tying it to the sewer grate.

Brodin was behind him, though his pace was more measured, the dwarf was jogging so as to conserve energy for the obstacles they would no doubt face.

As they jogged forth, the team soon came to a T-section, where they could go left or right. Echoes of footsteps could be heard coming from the right.

When Brodin got to the intersection he stopped for a moment to look towards the noise, trying to determine if they needed to be fought off now or if they could be outrun for now.

**A heavily panting Ginko finally catches up to Brodin during the pause - she wasn't much of a runner**

The pursuers were not in sight yet. Brodin might also realize that he has little to go on about how strong they might be other than what little Jacques told them in the boat. Soon the team passed the first tunnel, which contained a few dirty people sitting near a small fire. One of them obviously saw Graves as he ran by.
