Miko's owls materialized before them. Had they always been so big? They were as tall as she was.
The field seemed to stretch on forever before them, but it only seemed to take moments for them to reach it's edge. There was a thick forest ahead with a dirt path cutting down the center.
Darla cast her senses into one of the bulging dogs and sent both of them dashing along the forest path. If there was trouble ahead she wanted to be forewarned.
Miko could barely make out the line that the path made through the trees. It seemed as if the forest was their only barrier between them and the castle.
Darla found that sending her senses through the summons was larger than life. She started to wonder if she ever was anything but a dog.
Burkhard seemed to sense every living thing within miles. Gee became almost overwhelmed by the amount of sensory input he received from the spell.
Darla sniffed and licked at the path, rushing forward ahead of the other summon and the rest of the group. She ran and ran, searching for scents and burning off as much of he feral energy as she could.
No... the summon did that... Darla was back at the field? What? No. Darla ran, Darla sniffed.
Darla's body slumped into a seated position before the forest.
To keep from being overwhelmed and from putting himself in too much danger, Burkhard focused his Sarcokinetic sense towards the castle and the first living thing that he could sense from within it.
Darla smelled the scent of elves all around her, the ground tasted of manure and dirt. She knew there were elves everywhere. She heard Miko's voice distantly echoing in her ears.
Burkhard felt a rush and his vision suddenly was filled with the red outline of a massive canine like beast. The thing seemed to know it was being spied on. It sniffed at the air and seemed to look right at Burkhard.
Christov - "This dreamscape seems to be having a strange effect on our abilities. My senses are being overwhelmed, especially when I attempt to use my telescopic vision."
Darla groaned a little, massaging one of her temples as she pushed herself back to standing.
Darla- He's right... we should avoid doing anything that effects our minds unless we have to. Oh, and my canine senses told me that forest is full of elves.
As the group entered the forest Miko found that the path was too small for the owls and the foliage too thick for them to fly through. They began to hear rustling noises from the bushes on either side of them.
Darla- Ominous looming castle.
Miko - "I imagine we start with that."

Burkhard walked forwards, his shovel over his shoulder.
Come on and check it out. You know you want to.

The dogs that she summoned were slightly larger than normal, and their muscles literally bulged off of them.
As Burkhard entered the forest the light dimmed and he found the path was quite clear.

Darla- Elverywhere... Elvery... every... where...
The voice echoed in the back of her mind, growing a little louder as she turned her attention on it. She was... yes!
Darla snapped back to herself and sat bolt upright.
Come on and check it out. You know you want to.
