**The stab cuts a deep slash into the warg's body. The pained warg wildly snaps at Kage's hand as he reaches for the tag. It otherwise tries to struggle free of its assailants.
The howling warg turns to run, but the sound of its companion being stabbed implores it to attempt a rescue. It charges the winged terror, the fear in its eyes surpassed by the determination in its face.
The warg fighting Kaia tries to bring her down with a bite, only to yelp with pain as vortexes tear into its teeth and snout. **
Kage casts a shroud over the warg he's trying to take the tag from covering both of them, not Sum'era or the beasts legs. He then casts abyssal grasp and punches the beast in the face. He then steps to the side of where he was so that the inbound warg wouldn't get a free bite on him.
**Sum'era's attempt to spin out for between the struggling warg/Jakari melee proves rather unwieldy. Fortunately, the charging warg's attempt to attack her through the melee proves equally unwieldy and the end result is the shield-faced warg ramming its snout into the tree right next to the warrior.
Kage's opponent continues to wildly bite at its surroundings in a desperate attempt to escape. The punch clearly hurts it, but it does little to calm the beast. When he sidesteps the warg it tries to dart out of the shroud and dart into the forest.
It runs into a tree.
Kaia's warg dart into the woods in the direction opposite where the group came from. Kaia decides to follow, soon discovering that her foe is clearly trying to evade her and double back. She also discovers that the faster warg is succeeding.
Everyone else in the group finally reaches the struggle.**
**Sum'era succeeds at grabbing the second tag, the warg only managing to bite her vambraces in return. A landshark suddenly rips out of the ground beneath the warg, slamming the wind out of it.
Kage's daggers dig into the dazed warg's back, the Jakari suddenly noticing that the tag that had been on the warg the first time he'd seen the warg was already gone. Well, it had worked out anyway.
Kaia's opponent takes one look at its enemies reinforcements and take off for real. She has a few opportunities to stab at the beast, but he clearly doesn't have a tag on him so she settles for a shallow slash. He runs off, leaving a trail of blood droplets behind him.**
Vivian and his mercenary hire came upon the scene of terrified and bloodied wargs. They were apparently disagreeing about whether it was more important for the chaser to aid in the chase or protect his employer.
**She soon notices one of the wargs from before - the shield bashed one she thinks, trying to press the multi-stabbed one onward. The latter, most certainly dying warg, notices the flying woman and nudges the helping warg to look in her direction. Some growls later convinces the helper warg to run deeper into the woods, but not before giving Sum'era a particularly murderous glare.
The dying warg lies down in a pool of its own blood and waits.**
**Several minutes pass by as Sum'era tries to follow the warg and the warg likewise tries to give her the slip. The warg lets out a number of howls whenever the two can clearly see each other. At least some of the howls appear to be directed in the distance, the warg unintentionally looking off into the woods during a few of its calls.
It appear to be leading Sum'era away from the direction it was calling too - some spot deep into the woods. The warg itself appears to be leading her to the edge the woods. The winged warrior also hears a some howls from yet another direction - also deeper into the woods, but more towards the mountains.
The group trails the winged woman at a reasonable pace, those in the back about reaching the dying (dead?) warg. They hear the howls as well... including a fourth howl some distance behind them. The compass is still unresponsive.**
