**A gruff man sits on a rock near the edge of the forest, whittling down a bit of wood as he patiently waits for someone to show up. It's been, what, five hours now? He was going to look mighty foolish at this rate...**
The man looks up from his work and sizes Kage up. Hrm.. looks like the adventuring sort. Cloak, odd looking sword, hair moving in unnatural ways. Javert himself looks mundane in comparison, a pile of cloth and leather that looks fine enough but won't be winning any fashion awards.
Javert - "I'm waiting for whoever feels like helping me out with some wargs. Had some folk spread word about it in the cities. You interested?"
Kage looked a little sour for a moment, then shook it off with a shrug and said "Sure. I guess I've moved on from my endless riddle quests into ones of endless animals...What is the pay and specific task?"
Javert - "The basics of it are that I need to retrieve some sigils myself and some friends of mine placed on some wild wargs a month ago. Mos' of them were older men that aren't as young as they used to be, and most of them realize that now."
**The man thoughtfully carves a bit more from the wood**
Javert - "Ollie was still up to it, this was his idea after all, but I told him to let me handle it. Got him to not say anything to his former student either."
"So you're looking for a basic item retrieval from a bunch of animals? Are they likely to be dangerous? And you still haven't said what you're paying." Kage said sounding confident in himself at the current description of tasks.
A tall woman with alabaster skin and angelic wings touched down in the clearing, and looked at those gathered with a proud but not unfriendly air. "I heard a group was needed to protect the common folk from the threat of expanding warg packs, and I've come to destroy that threat to the innocent."
**Javert had been wondering what to say to the frail looking city slicker when the.. winged woman suddenly flew in. Huh.**
Javert - "Well, what we're doing - I'll work out payment in a moment - is collecting some tags myself an' some friends of mine put on the wargs. Cheaper peacekeeper sigils that record but don't send. We're trying to figure out why the wargs have started acting like this."
**He hands over the tracker. It's basically a compass fused with a rock with some random bits of crystal and inscriptions all over the place. Whoever made this thing either wasn't very good, was working very fast, didn't care at all about aesthetics, or had a very low budget. At least two of those."**
Kaia - <Okay, I think I've recovered. That was horrible. Just.. horrible. So, any specific reason to not introduce myself THIS time? I'm inevitably going to reveal myself later anyway and this isn't a gang of thieves.>
"Feel free if you would like, I have no reason against it. Real quick though, what did happen at the arena?" Kage said to Kaia. He also quickly double cast depth on some nearby shadows so she had more magic to absorb.
