Herschell - "Waterbury, take this fine gentlemans material and place it in the safekeeping area, with the rest! Have you figured out how to open that safe yet?"
Waterbury - "Still working on that one, sir. The lock is a bit beyond my ability."
Herschell - "Well, chop chop. Now, we were about to discuss Price, correct? I think for this work, my associate will need no fewer than 20 Gold, as he gets awfully sweaty. It is difficult work, you know."

Wayland walked out from behind some doors toward Vivian.
Wayland - Oh, a fellow craftsman, it's nice to meet you. You want this made into a pair of tailor's shears? I can do that. I think that this ingot might be big enough to make you a scabbard for them out the remainder of the metal. It'll help to keep them from poking holes in your pockets, not that that'd bother you too much. What size do you want them to be?
Wayland pulled a bit of string from his pocket and took some measurements of Vivian's preferred hand. Wayland then took Vivian's ingot of metal and returned to the Kor Crucible. He placed the ingot into the forge and waited until it gave off the appropriate glow. He moved it to he press and began to flatten it into a rectangular sheet of metal. He put the sheet back into the forge and then moved it to his anvil where he cut it into three strips of metal, one almost twice as wide as the other two. He cut of a section from the end of the wide strip and placed that small piece, the wide strip, and one of the other strips to the side. He placed the remaining strip back into the forge and then moved it back to the anvil where he began shaping half of it into a long round bar. He shaped the other side into a rough approximation of a triangular edgeless blade. He put the other thin strip of metal and small piece of metal into the forge. After removing them, Wayland shaped the thin strip of metal like the other one and shaped the small piece into a small rod and set it aside with the wide strip of metal. Wayland then took the two shear halves and gave their blades edges on a grinding wheel. He then returned all the shear halves to the forge and then dunked them into the slack tub. He then used his tongs to prepare the bar ends of the shears inside of the forge to allow him to bend them into the handles of the shears, making sure that the two shear halves line up properly and that he included the bend found in a tailor's shears. Wayland then gives the shears a final, precise sharpening on another grinding wheel. He grabbed a pointed hammer, and after marking where the fulcrum of the shears would go, he hammered a hole through each spot. He replaced the small rod into the forge and then removed it and dipped it into the slack tub. He heated the rod again and then inserted it into the shear halves, which he clamped together, and then, using his tongs to hold the shears, began to hammer the rod flat on both sides by relying on the anvil underneath the rod to help with the work. He took the completed shears to a grinding wheel and smoothed out the flattened rod on both sides. He dunked the shears into the slack tub one last time to clean them off. He then took the wide strip of metal and returned it to the forge. He removed it and then hammed it into the basic shape of a sheath large enough to hold the shears properly. He returned it the forge and then finished up the sheath's shape. After one last trip to the forge and a quick dunk into slack tub, Wayland was satisfied he'd done all he could to make sure Vivian would be satisfied with the shears and their sheath.
Wayland returned to Herschell's shop and handed over the shear's inside of their sheath to Vivian.
Wayland - From one craftsman to another, enjoy your new tool. I hope it helps you and your business.
Vilhjalmr stood outside of the shop. He had heard that there was an amazing smith doing business out of it and he had a valuable metal that he'd like forged, although he had no idea what he wanted made from it. Right before he entered the building, Marius bumped into him as he walked up. The two started talking about there most recent battles and ended up trading some items. Because Vilhjalmr wasn't sure of what he wanted the Tideheart Ore or the shard from The Richards sword for, he traded them to Marius for his Trueheart Oil and Ancient Swag. Vilhjalmr then left as Marius entered.
Wayland - Ah, how have you been Marius?
Marius - I've been well. I've just procured a very rare metal. I'd plan to stop by to ask you the price to forge me a weapon, but I think I'll be sticking with Calabash for now. I do have an offer to make you though.
Wayland - Aye, what is it my friend? I am very interested in forging that metal you have there.
Marius - Okay, although this will involve me coming back to pay you for some work later. I'd like to trade this Tideheart Ore for those two pelts and that amulet you have there. Once I've acquired some gold, which won't be too long from now, I'll pay for you to forge that into an item for me. I can only do this deal if you'll allow me to be able to come back and pay for the ore and to have it forged. You get to work with a new material and I'll pay you very well, and I'll end up with a few items that you don't seem to have any want for and a piece of forged by one of the finest smiths in Bakara. Deal?
Wayland - Aye. Here you go Marius, be careful with those pelts though, I've got a feeling that if you use them as intended, you might end up paying for that work much later than you intend to.
The two men exchanged items and a handshake to seal their future deal. Then Marius headed off to drink and then take a long nap.
Jebidiah and Voli entered. They have a nice conversation with Wayland (that will totally be edited in later when I am not short on time) that ended with Wayland buying the life chisel from Voli for 200 gold.
Wayland - Hello. Herschell's busy at the moment, so if you're here to buy any rare items, you'll have to wait. If you're here to pay for some smithing though, I can handle that.
Jebidiah reentered with Voli. Jebidiah sent Voli to go peruse the shop and then spoke in a casual yet soft tone, "Hello again, Wayland!" He said smiling. "Sorry to cut our previous discussion short, things came up. So, now that we have a moment, has Herschell discussed with you my special request?"
Wayland - Yes he has. You want some armor for your young friend that will protect his torso. He also mentioned you wanting it to be made of a Mage friendly material, preferably Nevermelt Ice. Oh yes, there was also something about it being able to fit him specifically, what exactly do you mean?
"Ah well, the mage friendly part is no longer really an issue. However, he does turn into a polar bear. So sizing it to just this form won't do. We were going to have it imbued with this crystal we left Herschell. It was a dual sapphire/topaz. Hoping the sapphire part could take care of the different sizes. For design, something that covers the torso and arms is what we are looking for, maybe with a some hand guards. So, what kind of materials do you have that we could use for the armor?
Wayland - For armor that would protect a normal person's torso, arms, and hands it would take at least five ingots of any material, and iron is the only material that I can use for it at the moment. As for fitting him as a polar bear, I'm afraid there may be an issue. As far as I know, a sapphire imbue does not allow any material to stretch. It only allows the wear to change the flexibility of the material at will. So it might take more than a simple sapphire imbue to handle what you want done Jebidiah. I do think that I could possibly make something for you two, but it would likely take more than the usual amount of iron and would be very heavy.
Jebidiah pondered for a moment. "We don't want weight. He just got some new weapons that extend from his hands as long claws. Agility serves them better I think. Perhaps we can get the arm pieces done another time. Do you have material that could work for just his torso that would be able to shift with him?"
Wayland - As I've stated, the only material that I've got ready access to is iron. You could possibly pay a fellow smith with a smelting furnace to smelt some iron into steel. As far as the armor being too heavy, I believe there is an enchantment that halves the weight of an item as long as it is worn by it's owner.
"Well, we aren't in such a rush that we would use inferior material. We will wait until either we find something or you do I suppose." Jebidiah said kindly.
Adskhan simply shook his head as he kept an arm over RuGaard's wings so he didn't cause a mess. "Fine, when it comes to disgusting landmarks I'll trust your judgement next time. Happy?"
Riesig only smiled slightly at that, "It doesn't sound as cool when you say it, man. Anyway, we're here!" He looked around for an employee, "Hey is like, uh, this Hersh-chel guy here? We got some stuff he will want to buy!"

Herschell's Elexian Valet appeared from the back.
Waterbury - "Yes, Mr. Ratliff?"

Vivian- Very fine work, thank you very much.
