**When it was their turn to fight, the two were led to the center of the massive arena, whose packed-sand floor was stained in various places with what could only be blood. The stands were choked with thousands of elves and men, all intently watching the spectacle about to unfold.
Livia was a lithe and thin woman, almost six feet tall, with blonde hair and wrapped in a baggy electric-blue robe.
As their attendants scampered away, a large bell rang somewhere above. It began.**

Kage began slowly circling, ready to throw up a shroud if she tries to attack, waiting to see what she does. He kept his hand over his sword to be ready to 'draw' it if he needed.
**She stood there, apparently calm, arms slightly out from her sides, tracking his movement with her head.**

Kage threw a shroud around himself and cast swathe, all while ducking and rolling to the side of the orb. He stayed within the shadows of the shroud to stay hidden, waiting to see what she would do next.
**Two more blasts of darkness hurtled out of her shroud, straight for him.**

A little shocked that they saw through the swathe, Kage again rolled away from the blasts and drew his sword while telling Kaia: "Fly straight until she tries to block or dodge, then circle around and try to attack from behind. Don't use the vortexes yet unless we have to." He dropped the other spells and threw his B.O.S.S. sword at Livia. As he let go he dropped to all fours and ran at her casting Abyssal Grasp trying to get into close combat.
**When he dropped the shroud around Livia, he noticed immediately that she wasn't revealed; she must have been maintaining her own at the same time.
I don't know how well the sword could see in shadows. Probably not well?
Anyway, as he charged/galloped, another blast came at him, though aimed very slightly off-course.**

Figuring as such, Kage kept Kaia informed of her location as he kept going. Just in case, Kage dropped a shaded eye behind him to keep a watch on his back as he kept going with the abyssal grasp. He stayed close to the ground and ran slightly sideways (think like this / ) so as not to give her a straight shot at him. When he got close, he didn't pounce, he instead went for a tackle like maneuver. Although he isn't very skilled at fighting like this, so it was probably a little clumsy. He was more relying on the grasp and abyss skin to help him rather than skill.
**When he entered her shroud, he found it bitterly cold and slightly choking, as though a thousand tiny insects were crawling down his throat.
His trouble in finding her in the shroud was remarkable; all he could hear was harsh, mocking laughter.**

Upon entering and being completely blinded, Kage immediately did a leap back and out of the smoke. He drew his mage dagger to defend himself while directing Kaia to back out of the smoke and attack livia if he can see her or to come defend him.
**For a moment, nothing happened. Then the smoke began to twist and curl, beginning to shape itself into something apparently monstrous.**

Kage quickly used the shaded eye he had dropped back during his charge to survey the area for the woman as he backed away from the cloud. He spoke to Kaia: "If we can't find her soon, use your vengeance and hit her with everything. We need to end this quick."
**The eye showed him the woman was behind the monster-cloud-shadow-thing, directing it with her hands like a conductor.
The cloud gradually formed into something vaguely humanoid, though missing a head, about fifteen feet tall and very thick. It leaned down, seemingly trying to clap Kage between its hands.**

To Kaia: "Fine, she has a thing out of shadows, lets take hers away and make our own shadowy fighter. Get behind her, use your vengeance, and then attack with with both the nebular form and the vortexes." Kage then rolled back working to keep distance between him and the thing so that Livia would be hopefully distracted enough for Kaia to work.
**She didn't seem to notice the sword floating around behind her until its vortex started, sucking in her shadow-beast rather quickly. At this she whirled around, starting back in surprise as the shadow-woman began to form.**

As she spun, Kage raced in to get her with his Abyssal grasp and abyss touch (whatever you call lvl 3). As he did that, the nebular woman does...whatever it is she can do while the blade then goes in to attack with its vortexes leaving them in trails to restrict her movements and help Kage land his hits.
**Seeing the blade fly toward her, the woman ducked into a squat, slamming her hands on the ground and sending a ripple of force magic out in all directions, knocking them both back. When she heard it hit Kage, she turned her head back to see him in evident surprise.**

**Kaia's nebular form rolls back to her feet and quickly charges back at Levina, either getting ready to dodge (if Levina is facing her) or getting ready for a jump kick.
**The mage in evident frustration pounded the ground again, sending both blade and man flying back, then reformed the shroud around her.**

**Kaia's kneeling nebular body apparently decides that giving the woman the one finger salute is a good use of her time. The woman quickly pushes forward after the salute, however, blindly charging into the shroud with her arms held defensively before her.
The blade hits the ground far from both Kage and the Nebular body swiftly moving backwards across the sand towards their opponent, the blade ready to dig into the sand to weather the third force wave that might be coming.
Kage presumably does something important and hopefully distracting.**
Ready for the wave this time, Kage braced himself or jumped over if possible. Then he continued his charge looking to get in close and distract with hand t hand while the blade does its work.
