[Ash] The Falcon's Nest

**On the southern edge of the city center, between the Mountain Pass and the Machinists along the Path of the Nine and across the Guildsquare from the Thieves, sits the Falcon's Nest, Ash's home of the Peacekeeper's Guild,

A clean and partan place, The Falcon's next is as hard as its Captain, the uncompromising Jager the Hound. Raised to be obsessed with "The Hunt", Jager is a dogged and unyielding man and the last person a wanted man wants looking for them. Some say he got the post because of his race, others because he bulled his way to the top, others still say it was to get rid of him. Whatever reason, The Next is his den.

Tall and rigid, with numerous towers and plenty of straight vertical architecture, there is little adornment outside of forged metal bird of prey emblems both large and small throughout. Those who exit by the main door will find themselves along Lantern Road in the Brass District.

Those seeking bounties can find Desk Sergeant Intikam in the lobby. A kamul saaur Jager met during a hunt in the Wastes, Intikam quickly became his right hand and zealous disciple.**

PUBLIC SERVICES - Costs Vary
Tip Line - Have information regarding a bounty but unable to act on it or unsure what to do with it? We pay for your information.
Arbitration - The Peacekeepers are willing and able to help settle disputes between citizens before things get ugly and one of the parties ends up on a bounty list.
Private Eyes - So long as there are no legal/moral issues, the Peacekeepers are willing to put their investigative expertise to use for the general public, for a price.

Golan winds up at the Peacekeepers, after sightseeing in Ash for a while. Now ready to start the inevitable wait for partners, Golan put his name in with the desk sergeant in the lobby and took a seat.

Alacritas stepped into the Nest shortly thereafter, his hands rubbing his forearms to gather some heat.

Alacritas turned around with a raised fist and clenched jaw, but ended up simply writing Maren off with a wave of his hand.

Golans interest piqued, but he waited to hear what the other guy was going to say before he barged in.

**Intikam gave the men quick once overs.**

Intikam - "Honestly, if I was any of you I'd consider passing. These Nevermores...as far as the Captain and I are concerned, they're a dud. A farce. They're only up as a bounty because some paper pusher from the guild insists that they're a legitimate threat."

Intikam - "From what we've been able to see, they're just a bunch of weird little lordlings wandering around spouting poorly-translated poetry. They haven't actually done anything, but someone in central keeps insisting that they're some sort of serious threat."

Allona entered the lobby and took a seat while the three adventurers discussed the outstanding Nevermore bounty. The woman waited patiently, seemingly staring often into nowhere.

Intikam - "Well are you by yourself? Or are those other two who came in before you also after the Nevermores? Or do they have their own plans? They haven't had a chance to say their piece."

Alacritas gave a stiff nod. "Just so happens I was about to ask about it myself, but then the person behind me felt he had the privilege to cut ahead. I'm sure he will apologize, though, and then it will all be water under the bridge. Am I right?"

Alacritas shrugged Maren's hand off his shoulder. "Very well. There was another?"

As the two men talked and made plans for bringing the gang of maudlin poets to justice, Allona walked up to Intikam.

Allona- Still looking for someone to help bring in Praite Parry?

"I've heard about the Nevermores. Must be from the same folks that told intikman to put them up. I've heard they're a public menace."

**Motioning that Allona should wait, Intikam answered Golan.**

Intikam - "Well if they actually are a menace, then we'll be glad to have them stopped. And if they aren't, this is a huge waste of Peacekeeper funds, but so was this whole city. So, it isn't too much of an issue."

Alacritas was tapping his fingers against his thigh. "Please tell me you know where to find them. I've already lost my patience for asking questions."

**Intikam gave Alacritas a flat look.**

Intikam - "If you'd rather be doing something else, go and do it."

Alacritas bit his lip and grunted. "Just tell us where they are."
