**Right off of Lantern Street sits a squat, wide building, seemingly designed with a barricade in mind. This is the Dustup, and it's named for the ever-present cloud of dust that seems to haunt the Brass District rather than any sort of propensity for bar brawls. Which makes sense. When the Peacekeepers run a bar, you can be sure that any fights are quickly contained.
Realizing that the Peacekeepers were going to be called to break up every tavern rumpus anyways, Padraic Prontus, a foothills villager turned lawman, built the Dustup in Ash's early days to save everyone some time and keep his brothers-in-arms quenched amidst their oft-cursed dust cloud. Now an Ash essential, adventurers and lawdogs from across Bakara know that the Dustup is the place to grab a pint of Padraic's Pale, snatch a quick game of billiards, and relax for a few moments. There's a small jail in the back if anyone gets too rough, but it is mostly there at Jager's insistence. But the Captain hasn't been by the Dustup in years, and as a result the mood is light as long as no one leaves the door open too long. That dust cloud is no joke.**

**The Dustup was relatively empty, with the exception of two somewhat lost-looking jakari taking up one corner of the bar, Padriac setting down the barrel he'd just emerged from the cellar carrying, and a kindir Mercy half-recognized through the ungodly amount of beetle innards he was liberally covered in.
The bug-splattered Paidan raised a hand to Mercy from his seat.**

Mercy - Bloody bugs, hate them. All the mess and trouble but none of the glory. Could down a lion with a spear at a distance and people would love to hear the tale. Try getting people interested in the time you nearly died squashing a swarm of bugs.

Paidan - "If you nearly died squashing Click Beetles people would definitely be interested. I know I'd tell that story every chance I got. It would be sweet to me, like a juicy orange."
Mercy - Now I wasn't talking about bloody Click Beetles and you know it. Come to think of it why are you bothering? I'm sure there are more interesting things out there for you to try and smash.

Paidan - "Nothing to sneeze at. Lot of gold in Ash, and a lot of people that solve their problems by throwing said gold at it. Gilt District's the best money; was picked clean almost immediately. But it's an easy thirty or forty gold wherever else in the city."
**He shrugged.**
Paidan - "I'm mostly in it for the intangibles, like I said."

Bobby stumbled into The Dust-Up wheezing as he sucked down a cigarette, coughing up phlegm with every drag. He looked around for a bartender or someone who looked like they worked there.
