Maren turned at the sound of Alacritas's boots running but caught the tackle on his side, he fell to the ground hard and attempted to wrap his arms around the man's neck for a headlock. He resisted the urge to flame up again, not wanting to disfigure the man even if he was a pain.
Once outside, and far enough away from the door to not be heard, Golan addressed his two compatriots.
"Okay, so I assume they were casting some emotion altering magic on the two of you, because there's no way a pair of professionals like you would ever do something so childish of your own accords... right?"
Maren appeared lost in thought for a moment. "I honestly don't know what goti into me...I think it's this rock I traded for... Anyway, it won't do much good to talk to them, when they behave like that... Although I'm not convinced we should be pounding on them either... But I did already say that I would."
"Hmm, so it seemed that the combining might be more literal than anticipated. Let's try Empower and Telekinesis." Olo said as they made there way through the city to the boon companion. He then tried to lift something normally beyond his new TK limit of 2' diameter.
Once they reached the Boon Companion, they went inside and Olo approached the bar. "Good day to you! We are looking for a person named Heather Fields. Can you help us?"
**In the travel thread you said that Nervada was flying too. Was that incorrect (as he is a warrior and cannot cast flight himself as it's too high a level), or is it that when we use the combo spells we both are affected by whatever the results are?**
He gave the bartender a friendly smile, "Do we look like the kind of people who care about something as simple as sanity? As long as she pays what she promises we're good. Unless you want to pay us to not help her. We would probably do that too."
Olo walked over after a friendly thanks and a wave to the bartender. "Hello, ma'am. Me and my brother here would like to help you. Please tell us everything you want done, what you expect from us, and what you will be paying us." He smiled a friendly smile.
The woman looked up and seemed quite taken aback by the garr's seemingly glib attitude.
Fields - "Pay I oh um... Did I mention payment in my add? I'm sorry but I've used all of my funds paying for that add. Those highwaymen at the council's office nearly robbed me blind! I need people who are willing to bring a murderer to justice, but I can't promise you any payment besides satisfaction."
Fields - "Oh very deadly, there has been a string of 'accidental' deaths in the city that I'm convinced are actually murders! The authorities, if you can call them that, won't listen to reason and we need to catch the criminal!"
