**Located directly off of the Mountain Pass, just barely within the shaded confines of the Ebony District, sits a new and rather luxurious inn. Its sign, an outline of a woman's face with a single winking Initiate Eye, is often the first thing a weary traveler sees upon entering the city of Ash and it is indeed a balm for the soul. While at first it make be hard to be comfortable with the idea of sleeping in an Initiate run inn, it's hard to overlook the fact that The Boon Companion is easily the most comfortable place in the Alogeans.
Inside, the inn is cool and well-appointed, all dark woods and clean tile. The staff is courteous and highly trained, the cook apparently knows every special dish perfected by every grandmother to have ever existed, and the general manager, an atarin with short blue hair named Dao, is a paragon of decorum. Seemingly infused with the manners and poise of a thousand chamberlains, Dao holds sacrosanct the chief rule of his inn: if it happens within these walls, it stays within these walls.
Do you want to enjoy the company of one of the working girls who lounge in the inn's parlor? Feel free; no one will know. Do you need a place to pour out your deepest regrets and sorrows? Feel free; no one else needs learn them. Do you want a chance to truly be you, even if just for a night? Here, you can. And we won't tell a soul.**
Burkhard and Adahy enter the inn. The Sentinel walks over to the man that looks to be in charge of the place.
Burkhard - Hello. Would you mind if I went around this place and cleared it of any Click Beetles that may have chosen to make their stay here? I thought I'd ask before I went around the outside taking care of them.
Dao - "The little blighters aren't smart enough to figure out how doors and windows work, thankfully. I doubt you'll find many that have managed to work their way into actual buildings in the city."
Burkhard - Of course. Well, I'll be outside taking care of the ones that have made it that far. Have a good day.
Burkhard and Adahy left the inn and began searching the outside perimeter for any Click Beetles. Burkhard cast and then began maintaining Sarcokinetic. He held his shovel at the ready to smash and slash any beetles that he found.
Burkhard stepped forward to the nearest group of Click Beetles and began to hack and smash them. He used Sarcokinetic to give another beetle the urge to move toward him.
**He had no trouble destroying the beetles he targeted, but he found no others would stop mating and move towards him. It made sense, he supposed; if their instinct to mate was so strong they wouldn't even stop to eat, it must be fairly hard to drive them away from their one goal.**

Maren crossed his arms and looked at Burkhard as he smashed the things. "Yeah they're all over the city, smashed me some of the bastards over at the machinists guild earlier... Nasty little things, but they don't provide much of a challenge." He looked around for any suspicious people loitering.
Burkhard proceeded to smash and then scoop as many Click Beetles as he could into a pile. He then put as many as he could into an extra burlap sack he had in his backpack. He and Adahy left heading toward the Sentinels.
Golan stayed within Earshot of Alacritas' approach, and tried his best to look nonchalant. That consisted of picking up a nearly empty drink from the bar and fondling it as though it is his own.

**The bartender meanwhile didn't so much as bat an eye at Golan's ploy. If this strange man wanted to fondle drinking glasses then DAMMIT, this would be his sanctuary.**
"You just made this a lot easier for me. A lot." The warrior advanced on the nearest Nevermore, reaching to grab the youth by the shoulder and pull him in.
Alacritas pulled out a copy of the latest Chronicles of Ash. "You mean to tell me that the very establishment that advertised a bounty of this gang of hooligans will keep me from apprehending them?"
Bartender - "The Peacekeepers are just one guild among many in Ash, my friend. Maybe these men are the ones listed on this Bounty List, even though it gives no details whatsoever about the targets other than the name "Nevermores". But that doesn't mean we're going to let you barge in and start fights."
"But....What....AAAARGH!" The man grabbed his head with both hands began rubbing at the temples. Bards, Nevermores, cartoonishly oversized warhammers, just what bizarre breed of people do Bakarans come from?
Maren seemed a bit confused by the man's outburst but he approached cautiously. "Honestly I just came here because I heard you guys were doing some really cool things and I wanted to hear about it first hand. The name is Maren." He said with a smile.

Burkhard's shovel was a particularly effective anti-beetle measure, the wide head allowing him to both smash and scoop with equal effectiveness.**

Nevermore One - "Uh, sh'yeah. Duh."

Nevermore Two - "Dunno. Are you here to take our order?"
**The third, a rather wet-looking atarin, shook his head.**
Nevermore Three - "Or clean the toliets?"
**The first Nevermore held up a hand.**
Nevermore One - "No wait; he wants to know if we can spare some change."
Nevermore Three - "We can totally spare some change, buddy.
Bartender - "Say now. This is a respectable establishment."
