This thread houses the various posts that comprise updates for the Cities of Bakara. Each is headed by its title, and will likely be posted by the WM of that City. Updates contained in spoilers are previous additions, preserved for posterity but no longer containing any usable material. In addition, some mods choose to employ colour coding to indicate the availability of tasks as they are taken.
The Epicrin Cryer
**All around the city of Epicrin the city paper is posted. Freshly printed by the city's new machinist printing presses, the daily edition of the Cryer is produced in abundance. Ah, progress.**
Word on the Street in Elexia
The port City of Elexia is brimming with conflicting opinions and groups jockeying for position. As a result there are more newspapers, magazines and criers than would be reasonable to list. The old city elite tend to get their papers from special machinist constructs that open upon the insertion of a gold coin, those in the warrens get their news from single sheet papers sold to them by paper boys and people on the docks get all their news by word of mouth.
The Greevan Runner
**There have historically been two sources of information in Greevan, though only one is in common use today.
The first is as ancient as the city itself, dating back to the creation of the Eternal Council. The Tree of Decrees sprouts in the Pairc an Eas, not far from the lower levels of the Crann de Crann. It is a mighty oak, thick and arcane, with heavy, long hanging branches crawling in all directions. No leaves grow on the Tree of Decrees. Despite it's size, it still appears miniscule compared to Greevan's great tree, a dwarf in the shadow of, well, a titan. Into the bark of the Tree of Decrees are carefully carved all the verdicts and commands of the Council, emphasized with a layer of luminescent ink. However, for practical reasons in a city of Greevan's size, this tree is rarely used.
Second is the Greevan Runner, a daily broadsheet newspaper published by the city's Ministry of Information. Though still a relatively new phenomenon in the conservative city, it has quickly become the normal source of information about the daily goings-on of the city.**
The Sylvan Sun
**The only cyclical recurrence the Night City regularly gets is from its local newspaper, The Sun. Run by an enigmatic local Sylvanite, the editor-in-chief is, well he/she is actually unknown. The Sun offices are an abandoned brick building in the Southwestern District. It is a condemned building and permanently closed off… No one really knows how the courier actually circulates, or how it’s published… This is just one of the many things that are taken for granted in Sylvan. You could say The Sun is regularly distributed with the frequency of the actual Sun… only the Sun rises in Sylvan once a month.**
The Chronicles of Ash
**Though all Guild and Greater Ash news is distributed in the Guild Square by singing bards, the Boon Companion is happy to offer a printed version for those who don't want their news delivered in rhyming couplets or accompanied by snapping fingers.**
The King of Adventure's Noticeboard
A way station between civilized Bakara and the wastes, the King of Adventure serves all sorts and offers jobs to those who need them. The notice board in the King is constantly dotted with requests for aid both trivial and fatal.

BOUNTIES Name: The Crimson Smile Details: A cutthroat gang of thieves, notably agile and skilled in bladework. Leader believes to be magically skilled. Wanted for forcing their way into a local estate and killing several servants before robbing them. Crimes: Homicide, Grand Theft Results: Entire gangs has been caught. Their ringleader, who was oddly an actual ringleader, is now paralyzed and will be sent for care to Greevan once they killing each other. Their strongman lost his hand, which was eaten by his pet crocodile and is being fitted with a hook. He, along with their now permanently white skinned clown are being sent to the Asylum. The rest weren't references to anything so they will just rot in regular jail.
Name & Details: Unknown Crimes: Kidnapping, possible Homicide. Status: Three of the four kidnappers committed suicide or were were killed during apprehension. The remaining one refused to speak on why they kidnapped and tortured a teacher's aid, then ate through his own wrist while in custody and died. Their victim has gone insane and is missing his tongue. The spooky tunnel and chambers uncovered during the investigation magically vanished. This is nothing ominous and will probably never come back to bite us all in the ass later.
Name: Thorin Gossel Details: Known weapon trader. Attacked city guards trying to gain entry to city armory. Crimes: Assault, Attempted Homicide Result: This cunning and ruthless criminal was stopped by a lone crimefighter, but was left badly burned, mulitated and disfigured by acid in the encounter and isc currently being held in the criminal wing of the Asylum under the care of Dr Arkham. This will surely end well.

The Greevan Runner
THE SIEGE ON GREEVAN CONTINUES
Five weeks had passed since the Second Eternal Council of Greevan passed its decree to banish all residents of non-elven descent. All humans, garr, nadrask, and other races were given a week to leave the city before the council took action against them. Many attempted to resist, but the council was true to its word, and all those refusing to obey were given official and, as some reports convey, sometimes brutal escort out of the city. Many elves, sympathizing with those cast out, joined them in their exile. Most upperclass elves, dark elves, and many other elves still remain in the city, loyal to the council. The complete ordeal has become a revolt against the Eternal Council, as the exiles set up blockades outside the city, effectively blocking access to any seeking entrance or exit.

The Epicrin Cryer
**All around the city of Epicrin the city paper is posted. Freshly printed by the city's new machinist printing presses, the daily edition of the Cryer is produced in abundance. Ah, progress.**
Word on the Street in Elexia
The port City of Elexia is brimming with conflicting opinions and groups jockeying for position. As a result there are more newspapers, magazines and criers than would be reasonable to list. The old city elite tend to get their papers from special machinist constructs that open upon the insertion of a gold coin, those in the warrens get their news from single sheet papers sold to them by paper boys and people on the docks get all their news by word of mouth.
The Greevan Runner
**There have historically been two sources of information in Greevan, though only one is in common use today.
The first is as ancient as the city itself, dating back to the creation of the Eternal Council. The Tree of Decrees sprouts in the Pairc an Eas, not far from the lower levels of the Crann de Crann. It is a mighty oak, thick and arcane, with heavy, long hanging branches crawling in all directions. No leaves grow on the Tree of Decrees. Despite it's size, it still appears miniscule compared to Greevan's great tree, a dwarf in the shadow of, well, a titan. Into the bark of the Tree of Decrees are carefully carved all the verdicts and commands of the Council, emphasized with a layer of luminescent ink. However, for practical reasons in a city of Greevan's size, this tree is rarely used.
Second is the Greevan Runner, a daily broadsheet newspaper published by the city's Ministry of Information. Though still a relatively new phenomenon in the conservative city, it has quickly become the normal source of information about the daily goings-on of the city.**
The Sylvan Sun
**The only cyclical recurrence the Night City regularly gets is from its local newspaper, The Sun. Run by an enigmatic local Sylvanite, the editor-in-chief is, well he/she is actually unknown. The Sun offices are an abandoned brick building in the Southwestern District. It is a condemned building and permanently closed off… No one really knows how the courier actually circulates, or how it’s published… This is just one of the many things that are taken for granted in Sylvan. You could say The Sun is regularly distributed with the frequency of the actual Sun… only the Sun rises in Sylvan once a month.**

The Greevan Runner
Five weeks had passed since the Second Eternal Council of Greevan passed its decree to banish all residents of non-elven descent. All humans, garr, nadrask, and other races were given a week to leave the city before the council took action against them. Many attempted to resist, but the council was true to its word, and all those refusing to obey were given official and, as some reports convey, sometimes brutal escort out of the city. Many elves, sympathizing with those cast out, joined them in their exile. Most upperclass elves, dark elves, and many other elves still remain in the city, loyal to the council. The complete ordeal has become a revolt against the Eternal Council, as the exiles set up blockades outside the city, effectively blocking access to any seeking entrance or exit.

A Little Breathing Room - Things are still tense in the wake of the Blue Rose fiasco, guards still haven't got a good lead on their man and are still testy about it. Additionally we've had a little trouble with Krash and his ilk going further than we like with some of their schemes. We're authorising a little sabotage to get everyone some breathing room.
