Feyrus just smiles at her with kind eyes. "The only thing I'm distracted by is your beauty my dear." He reached out to pat her hand in a fatherly fashion.
Feyrus raised his eyebrow incredulously. "Nonsense, my dear, you couldn't be a day over ninety!" at this he began to chuckle, but it came out as more of a cackle.
Mireille - "You might as well slow down, friend. I can hardly send you out on your own now, can I? We'll need a least another person or two to show up first. Until then, anything to drink?"
The door to the King of Adventure opened to reveal an imposing silhouette, clad in the fur of some great beast, shaved head glinting in the merciless sun. A moment later Adelmo stepped into the establishment, ruining the effect entirely. He was a round-faced young kindir with a scar down one side of his face, a bear pelt hung around his shoulders.
He made his way to the bar, waiting to get the attention of whoever was serving.
Feyrus threw the Kindir a peculiar look, then edged closer to Mereille and said to her out of the corner of his mouth "Do you serve bears here?" It came out as a much to loud whisper.
Feyrus smiles shrewdly at her. "All things are as they seem only as long we perceive them to be." At this point he nearly falls off of his stool, and barely saves himself by grasping the bar. Once he steadied himself he looked at the stool accusingly. "You stay put!" He scolded.
Having been pointed and cackled at, Adelmo saw no reason to wait his turn quietly. As he addressed the fenette a ball of crimson fluff popped out from within his fur and hopped along his arm onto the bar.
Adelmo placed a flat grey stone on the bar, which the crimson fluff ball immediately hopped on top of. As the stone began to glow faintly red, the fluff ball spread open its wings to reveal a grey beak and beady black eyes.
Feyrus's eyes widened at the sight. "A Phoenix? That is rare indeed! Feyrus suck his gnarled hand out to the kindir. "The name is Feyrus!" He beamed at the man brightly.
Adelmos extended his hand genially, his shake was surprisingly firm. On the bar the phoenix fledgling hopped off the burner stone and stuck its beak in the whiskey. After draining half the glass it submerged its head entirely lift its beak skyward and shook, spreading the spirit all over itself.
Mireille - "Well, okay...are you alright? You seem a bit distracted."
