Kraven slammed his sledge down into the ground again, leaving it there this time as he went to work with his mage dagger rather slowly as he wasn't very good with the thing, trying to get the vermin off of him without accidentally killing himself.
**Laroc seemed mostly fine with that...until he realized how slowly the others were going. Sighing internally, the atarin Flowed a gallon of water, refuse and rats into a sphere and froze it, using the disjusting orb to crush as many rats as he could.**
**Ire decided it was better to just not give the bastards a chance to climb on, and went back to using both heavy weapons, but now instead of wading it he kept moving, using his fighters training to keep his footing as he bounded around the tunnel, stomping rats under his boots, smashing them with his weapons, then bounding again before they could get a hold of him.**

"What the feck was that!?!" Kraven cried as he continued to deal with the rats on his person. He paused long enough to stomp a stoneshot down the tunnle towards the sound.
It wasn't long after that the rodents were all dealt with, dead or scattered. Nothing seemed to come from the screeching noise, though the group felt tense despite Kraven's performance.
Wayland wiped his apron off and replaced Wrath into its scabbard.
Wayland - Those rats were surprisingly tenacious. Aye, Kraven is right, we should at least look into what that sound was. Although I hope it isn't, as Kurt put it, a giant rat.
Ire - Anything thats supposed to be small but gets that bid is probably more devious than it should be. It least we'll get to do alittle more satisfying bloodletting.

As they progressed along the tunnel they found that there were no turns to the right, along the side of the tunnel lined with granite. Every now and then they encountered a turn to the left, lined with the brick they had seen when first entering the sewers. If they continued along the granite wall they would find the walls would get more and more slick with water.
The blacksmith yelled as he attempted to sweep the rats off of his leather apron with a hard swipe of his shield.
