MTG Salvation

**The field trip carriages had stopped in a shallow depression in the Alogean landscape, a shelf of stone maybe 15 ft tall running north to south on their left, a barely perceptible slope leading into the distance to their right. Scrub trees and scraggly tufts of tall grass dotted the landscape.

The drivers had gathered close to the carriage and were consulting maps.**

Gerr continued to chew on some gold nervously.

Nervada jumps out and grabs some pebbles. Yay pebbles! He homeguides one of them and chucks it out a couple dozen feat before calling it back to his hand like some sort of yo-yo. He does this a few times, although he makes sure he isn't in danger of hitting anyone.

Nervada - So how long do you think we'll be standing here?

Doggett - Not long, hopefully.

**He looked around furtively.**

Dirk was there, with a steadying hand on the side of a cart.

"Just long enough to catch our collective bearings, I hope."

Having gotten out of the carriage, Heulen walked around, realizing that he enjoyed being tall. He hadn't had a chance to really think about it before he got into the carriage and sat down. With his new sense of balance, he began doing some acrobatic flips, trying to get use to his body's new size and shape.

Nervada gives Huelen a thumbs up.

Nervada - Yeah! That's the spirit! Heck, even if we're totally lost we have mages to handle food and water right? Or am I mistaken?

"I miss Eizen..." Gerr said quietly to himself, not liking being lost with strangers... Though this will be a good experience for him to open up more.

He flopped down next to one of the carriages and started mindlessly tinkering with his small crossbow, taking it apart and putting it back together.

**Dany leaned against her carriage, a bit apprehensive. She felt like she should be more help, but the girl quickly realized that she knew almost as little about the Great Alogeans as she did about the rest of the world outside of her Alogean Foothills village.**

Heulen began to walk on his hands, going from carriage to carriage, getting in some good exercise while the carriages were stopped.

Heulen continued to walk along on his hands, and soon he began to walk just close enough to people so that his new ears could pick up any interesting bits of conversation.

**Dany perked up at the sound of something interesting, peeking her head into the window of Gerhym's carriage.**

Dany - "What's this? Betrothed? Bretrothed-s?"

"What are you doing?" Gerr asked the weird handstandy man

Hearing Grehym's question, Heulen yelled from where he had stopped walking on his hands and had moved onto doing handstand push-ups.

Heulen - Her name is Dany! She's nice!

Heulen stopped doing his push-ups long enough to look up and answer Gerr, face to upside down face.

Heulen - Exercising my new body. My name is Heulen. What's your name?

Gerr was going to say 'you look funny'... but got distracted by the opportunity to say his name!!! He got instantly more excited .
"Gerr!"

Dany - "Yeah yeah, Dany; it's a pleasure and such."

**The girl hurried these pleasantries along.**

Dany - "So! You're two young kindir sworn to one another? Did you know that that is probably the most popular ballad topic there is? Even more popular than vampires who secretly long for the sun, even."

Heulen - It's very nice to meet you Gerr. Are you a guard as well?

Gerr was going to say 'Yes' but instead said
"Whats on your face?"
Gerr yanked on the walrus stash

Wincing some from a hair being pulled out of his lip, but not losing his balance and falling on the greel, Heulen answered Gerr.

Heulen - Gerr, that would be a mustache. My mustache in fact. I grew it after I drank this strange vial of liquid a man sold me.

"Im sorry Heulen... I am here to be a guard but i didn't think i would feel this lonely... I lost my friend Eizen in a explosion when fighting some mean elfs..." Gerr said, somehow resisting playing with the wolf ears.
