**At the southern end of Epicrin, where it touches The Great Road, is are the city's main gates. Three stories tall, forged or iron and steel, and moved by unseen machinist mechanisms hidden within the city's incredibly thick walls, these gates are the means by which most enter the city.
Upon entering, after passing by the dozen or so city guards that constantly watch over the gateway, one finds oneself on The Thoroughfare, with all of Epicrin open before them.**
Arl enters the city to find the old man's friend. She does! It seems, however, that the man was so traumatized by being assaulted by some criminal named Thorin Gossel that he won't even leave his room. The only way he's leaving is if someone promises to take that fiend down... and between that and the crying children Arl somehow gets pressured into promising she'll look into it. The paper says he's a single-hunter deal...
**Arl find herself in a darkly lit stone corridor that seems to do on forever. Glowing stones hang from the wall every ten feet, illuminating the place. Doors are sporadically sunken into wall on either side, save where the floor on the right side ramps up to the next floor fifty yards ahead of her.**
Tora- The man in question somehow managed to gain access to the these guard only facilities, despite heavy guard and magical warding.
Taro - From what I've heard he's a nasty piece of work. Specializes in obtaining guild and government only weapons, devices and relics and selling them. Alot of blood on his hands, now including two of my men.
Tora - He can't, no access to the top from inside, don't want flying enemies to be able to drop in. But the higher he goes the hard to escape and the farther from his target he is, so he's likely somewhere on the lower floors.
Tora - Already has, all my men are on this floor on constant patrol so I know he's not hiding down here. and no one can get out until I send word for the lockdown to be lifted, only enter. Do try to be quick, I have plans tonight.
**The second floor was more dimly lit than the first, at least this area of it was, some of the light stones apparently damaged in the attack. Blood slicked the floor and perfumed the air, along with the scent of scorched flesh.**
