The massive sergeant Boros was working through a stack of paperwork and seemed irritated as he looked up, but seemed to soften when he saw Arl's prismatic hair.
Sgt Boros- We are but despite your work with Smith you'll need back up for this one. We'd like to minimise any casualties but guards we've sent in have come out badly injured, if they came out at all.
It was then that Illu spoke up from having been quietly waiting in the barracks for something to do. "Me nd illium will help you out on a bounty if you need it! Been looking for some more things to do." The young peacekeeper seemed to be just beaming with happiness as he smiled at the little rainbow warrior.
Sgt Boros- So long as the crushing leaves them alive. Seems like you've got enough people to make a good go of it.
Boros rolled out what appeared to be a blueprint.
Sgt Boros- Gaben and his acolytes or what-have-you, are holed up in what was going to be a junction station for the older sewer system before we had to rework it. Expect them to have used the metal and pipes inside to set up defenses. First guard we sent in came out with burns all over his face.
With a look of mild disgust, Illium says, "Indeed, those who harm children are scum to be dealt with. Do we know if the guard who returned was burned by fore, acid, or steam?"
Staring stunned for a moment longer, Illu shook the fascination from his young face and said, "I am Illu Sorisch. And you look a fellow savior of light. Do you too seek to destroy the darkness?" His questioed contained very much restrained enthusiasm.
Sum'era - "I seek to crush those that mean the innocent harm, and in doing so I will build upon the glory of my name. The denizens of the darkness cannot escape my eyes. My companion Gradela will aid us in our venture."
The sergeant seemed to ignore the exchange between Illu and Sum'era in favour of continuing the briefing. When Arl looked he could only see two entrances, one at the back, leading into what would have been a workroom and one at the front.
Sgt Boros- Definitely steam burns. We're still not sure what happened to two of our other guards. They might have been made part of the group.
Illu nodded and turned to look at the blueprints as the others spoke. He was checking for any other ways in that were not actually entrances, for example where they get their water if they aren't using magic, or how they are exchanging bad air so they don't all suffocate assuming they, again, aren't using magic.
Sgt Boros- Back door. And we don't have any proof of magic or machines being used to help their indoctrination, but they seem to have a very high recruitment success rate.
Illu's instincts served him well, as he noted two potential points of entrance and exit. The sewer system the building was designed to serve was never removed, and could likely be accessed somewhere nearby. There was also a vent system worked into the roof of the building, which might provide access for Arl or Illu owing to their relatively smaller frames.
"What about these vent systems? We could try to use these to get behind their front lines and see what is happening in there. Or try to sneak the children out through there." Illu mentioned, sounding just a bit shy of proposing strategy. He pointed out the vents he found.

The sergeant paid Arl for her assistance and bid her good day, since she already left and went to fight animals for justice or something.
Arl - "Do you still need someone to handle the Gaben bounty?"

She stopped mid sentence when she saw Arl, and smiled.
Sum'era - "Arl, it is good to see you!"
