**Lucian threw himself backward, landing on the corner of an empty table and sending the silverware clattering over the floor.**

Lucian - "I'm warning you, I'll kill you."

"Enough!"

A deep, booming voice called from the entrance to the Yard of Vines. From Lucian's vantage, the swordsman could see the silhouette of an armored individual with a cloak draped over one shoulder.

"Good luck!" With that, Colt reached behind him and grabbed a chair back, shook out the occupant, and chucked the chair at Lucians torso area, to see how he would dodge.

Colt also did combat with the booming voice by ignoring it, so there.

**Lucian was hit squarely in the chest with the chair, and was knocked over, winded.**

Tense, Suspenseful

"Aha! Take that as a lesson, skinny man."

Colt began to walk towards the kitchen, making sure to put a table between himself and Lucian just to make sure Lucian didn't do any surprise "Get up and stab you all of a sudden" type maneuvers.

**Lucian struggled to get up, pushing the chair off with a wince.**

Lucian - "I... You... Why I should..."

Lucian saw what happened quite clearly, the figure at the door step forward and lashed out one arm. The arm held a whip which curled round Colt's feet and pulled them out from under him.

For Colt's part, he felt his feet pulled rapidly together, and then suddenly they weren't underneath him any more. If he didn't throw his hands up to catch himself, his face would crash into the floor.

Armored Figure- I said, enough!

**Seeing his adversary on the floor next to him, Lucian made a much more concerted effort to get up.**

Lucian - "What is all this?!"

Colt lands mostly on his face, causing some additional bleeding and contusions. He also leaves a cut-shaped blood mark on the ground where the cut in his chest was.

Colt rolls onto his back, to detect what is going on.

The figure at the door pace towards them, revealing himself to be a massive man wearing the armor of an Elexian Guard, silvered plate bearing navy wave insignias. The cloak he wore was fastened with a silver clasp bearing four waves.

Sergeant Boros- I heard the commotion on my patrol and came to investigate the yelling, to find you two brawling like thugs. Explain.

Sergeant Boros flicked his wrist and Colt felt the tightness around his ankles loosen and drop away. The sergeant was easily eight feet tall, with wiry black hair pulled into a tight knot at the back.

Lucian - "The man was threatening customers here, so I attempted to disarm him."

"That man is tiny and stood in my way. It is my DUTY to make sure he does not reproduce!"

*Colt stood up, still holding his giant-a** sword*

Sergeant Boros- I suggest you lower that weapon if you don't want to spend the foreseeable future in one of our cells.

"The joke's on You! I CAN'T FORESEE THE FUTURE!"

Colt planted the tip of his sword in the ground, but it was still very much at the ready.

Sergeant Boros- I believe that...

The huge man sighed.

Sergeant Boros- Look, you two have limited options. Go your separate ways and stay out of trouble, take your dispute to one of the authorised locations in the city for combat or finally, you come with me. I suggest you select on of the former options.

"I am a stranger in this land, unfamiliar with your customs. I will surrender myself to the owner of this establishment for Justice."

Lady duMontfort- My justice is that you get out of my establishment and don't come back unless you can behave like a respectable member of society!

Sergeant Boros- And the swordsman, Lady?

Lady duMontfort- Did exactly as he said, there's no need to bother him further.

Colt quickly turns to face Lady DuMontfort, drops his weapon, and places his knees, elbows, palms and face on the ground.

"Your judgement is understood"

Colt then stands up quickly, picking up his weapon as he goes, and moves to leave.

Gerr waddles in with his stubby legs feeling very out of place Its too quiet, clean, and fancy. Nervous Gerr shoves a gold coin into his mouth and starts chewing. He walks up to the bar, climbs up onto a stool, swallows the coin and blurts out "Pearl, where is Pearl."

The man behind the bar looks incredibly put off by the gold chewing greel and merely nods, pointing towards the corner of the dining area. There sat a raven haired woman at a table by herself, dressed in a fine blue gown, wearing pearl earrings.

Trying to hold in a massive bletch, Gerr awkwardly waddles over to the table. Nervous about the quiet and now having to talk to such a pretty lady for the first time Gerr says "So" a unexpected belch quite impressive for such a little guys escapes Gerrs mouth

Pearl- ... yes, dear?

Gerr is quite embarrassed and notices everyone staring at him, but sees something shiny on the table and climbs into the chair next to Pearl scooting close to see what it was. A fork.
Back on track Gerr asks "can i be your courier pretty lady?"

Pearl- Well, you're definitely sweet, but are you qualified?

The gathered clientele of the Yard went back to their own business, apparently the novelty of a bumbling greel wasn't enough to warrant sustained interest.

Gerr blankly at the lady, apparently not understanding what she said.
