**Wait, decades? She's only had this problem a few years unless... its been there the whole time? Is this thing the manifestation of the hum or something? It was growing inside her since birth and now it wants to break free? She read a story like that once... how did that end.. didn't the hero just absorb it and become one or something? Yeah, that was it. And more mind magic will help her confront it! That's what the book meant! She will beat the hum!
Misty realizes she had moved away from the door during her internal monologue. In a metaphorical fashion, that is.
Well, she can confront it again later. The fenette walks to the city gate with renewed determination.**
**Misty enters the shop and buys Summon force aspect. She trembles as she reads the spell. It's power flows into her and... nothing? No response from the hum... odd. Maybe.. something will happen later..**
Voli entered the shop and browsed for a while. When he read what Charged Grasp could do, he got very excited. He eagerly counted out the gold and paid for it...no wonder Jebidiah usually kept his gold. Oh well, he wasn't here!
Darla entered the silver crescent, purchasing a spider's silk scroll with her ill-gotten gains.
She also bumped into Grehym and completed a previously arranged trade that DAK is not going to wait weeks and weeks to follow through on. This allowed her to alter her serpent's fang with a bloodstone imbue effect.
Adskhan entered the shop shortly after Darla left and spent his money, and some of Riesigs on Lightning Blast and Summon Storm Aspect. He learned them, and then immeidately had to leave as RuGaard started causing a ruckus in his bigger form.
The silver crescent held the last of the spells Morgan intended to buy. The taskmage sauntered in and selected and paid for the Blossom, Thaw and Shade spells before sitting down to read them. A while later, Morgan left, having combined a few spells together.
Theron Lee entered the Silver Crescent and headed straight for the section in which the storm spells were located. After running his hands over a number of different scrolls he finally selected the Drift spell and handed over the necessary gold for it. Dropping himself into a seat near the front of the store, he poured over the contents of the scroll.
As Theron's mind absorbed the knowledge he began to feel the air tingling around him. Something was much different.
Level 1 - Once per encounter, Theron can flash charge the field filing the area within five feet of him in every direction with extremely bright electricity. Anything within the radius is delivered a jarring shock and is blinded during their next post.
Theron walked out into the street and made sure the area around him was clear, he reached out into the air and felt the influence he was exerting around him. He clenched his fist and the air around him flashed with electricity... that would certainly be useful. The witness headed north, towards the gate.
