Olo moves back down, gets the report from Damek and then rejoins Arl with wolf Damek in tow. "Interesting display. It seems that even the scent trial vanishes into the air. But we did notice a scent. So hopefully if we smell it again we can find it before it disappears. You find anything?"
Arl - "Yes. I would. Given how Bob died it looks like Garrote is very fast, doesn't make noise, and is either an incredible acrobat or mage. Or possibly someone with an item that makes them invisible/able to teleport. When you said the scent vanished, did you mean it faded or that the trail just suddenly stopped?"
Arl - "Probably magic then. He seems to be obsessed with the 'perfect light', like he's some kind of cultist. Maybe he started talking about it before becoming a serial killer? Not sure who to ask about it though.. we should inform the authorities of the murders that just occurred here though.
**The girl's face makes a different sort of frown as she ponders the situation. Something didn't-**
Arl - ...Wait, how did Garrote know about Bob? You literally just took up the job!"
"Sounds good! Where shall we start?" Olo asked, clearly choosing to ignore her seemingly personal dilemma about something. He also began casually moving things around, and then putting them back, with his TK trying to see if he could find any clues they hadn't seen.
"Honestly, the only words he spoke to us were to say hello, let's get going, and I'll go this way. She was supposed to be alive, and guarded by Peacekeepers. Clearly that stopped. My question, is what happened to the Peacekeepers. Shouldn't they be here in bloody piles too? Or did he do something else with them?" Olo said. Edit: as he looked around, only just noticing the dead peacekeepers over yonder. "Now how did I miss those? Oh well, it seems that that avenue of thought is dead. You got anything else Arl?"
Udo and MK have agreed to allow modding each other's PCs in hopes of moving this bounty forward. Acelin surely agrees to fallow Udo's lead in a nondescript sort of way.
**After some more discussion the group decides to thoroughly investigate each of the corpses and their surroundings, taking great care to not leave themselves open to invisible teleporting assassins as they do so.**
Arl's head began to swim as it was filled with darkness. Red eyes emerge from the darkness. The fuzzy image showed a man with dusky dead looking skin. She got the impression of extreme danger from those red eyes.
**That would normally be quite distinctive, but this was Sylvan.. still, Arl describes the man to Olo and Damek in great detail. If all else failed, Garrote did seem to take attempts to make light of his work very seriously.
After further discussion, and hearing what Cee had to say after returning from informing the lawmen at the Blind Lady of the deaths, the group travels across the town to search for information.**
