Boats comes and go from Elexia all the time, be they ferries to and from the Kurrian isles or smaller boats bound for the island of Nadra. Some vessels come from even further, and deposit their travelers in Elexia after what seems an age at sea.
Regardless of how and why they get here, this section of the docks is reserved for passenger vessels, transporting people to and from whatever places they need to go.
"What injustices did I perpetrate in a past life to allow this to happen?" Wondered Colt Wyrmbane silently, as his situation dawned upon him.
Colts ship had wrecked days ago in a storm, and now, impoverished, he spied land. At first his hopes were high, until he realized that this was not his homeland. Indeed, this wasn't even the distant shore he had set sail for. But Colt was desperate, and at risk of dying of exposure if he didn't get shelter soon. He pointed his driftwood towards the dock, and feebly began to paddle.
The paddling did relatively little to help Colt get towards the shore, what may have helped more was the boat the pulled up along side him. A pair of strong arms pulled Colt up out of the water and onto the relatively small but sturdy boat.
Mysterious Arms- Who'd you piss off to end up out here?
Garr- Well, doesn't matter. We'll get you back to dock anyhow.
As Colt became more aware of his surroundings, he noticed his saviour was a garrish fellow dressed in a rather outlandish manner. Further reflection told him he was on the deck of small fishing boat, being pushed towards shore by the prevailing wind.
**It was at this time that a large carrack was docking in Elexia, a broad ship painted in whites with white sails. Its figurehead was a sun-in-rise made of flawless ivory, the light reflecting from its sharp-tipped rays intensifying the effect of the imagery. A loud horn echoed from its deck as it came to a stop, and a dozen men came barreling out with ropes and planks.**
**Alacritas descended from the ship with a looks of wonder and disdain. He paused briefly on the ramp, and for a moment considered turning back, but by the moment's end he had come to his senses. The man continued towards the Elexian docks.**
Near a rather large wooden vessel with a shepherd carved into it prow stood a yellow scaled saaur. He was dressed in bleached leather armour and wearing the blue cape that was the signature of the Elexian city guard. Given lieutenant's 'Kurr' name, this saaur was likely to be who he was looking for.
Jougo drags Akane to the docks. "Listen, we gotta get something going. The funds have run dry." He lets her go and looks around for the Shepard of Many. Finds it and walks over. "Still need people for checking out that island?" He addresses to the man most likely to be captain.
Akane yelped all the way to the docks until Jougo finally let go of her ear. Then she stood up straight as he talked, trying to pay attention despite the pain in her ear. Ow! "Oh, sure thing, Mistah J! We'll make some gold No problem!" Then she stood quietly as he addressed whoever was in charge.
