**Kincaid made her way into the Hyperion, looking around appreciatively. She'd discarded her hooded jacket and pinned her hair back in a utilitarian bun, her exposed leather cuirass and shift in demeanor projecting a much more martial aura than the witness usually displayed.**
Her presence drew the eyes of a couple of warriors who were watching another couple spar. The spectators were a human built like a ton of bricks and a wire-thin kindir, the sparring couple appeared to be a purple-tailed demon of some sort and a more portly kindir with ebon hair.
From the way the blows were being traded Kincaid got the impression the bout was more for exercise than any real test of prowess. The larger kindir's frame was more than up to the task of deflecting the demon's attacks and the demon seemed to know exactly which counterattacks were coming and when.
All of a sudden the portly looking kindir lunged forward. In one large step he seemed to step through the demon, and in the blink of an eye the demon was sprawled on the floor, laughing.
Kincaid - "Of sorts, I suppose. Last time I was in Sylvan this was a theatre. You've all done a superb job converting it. That's why I'm here, actually."
Kincaid - "I'm from further out in the Plains, where the guilds and cities don't have much influence. Been trouble with bandits and such for long as anyone can remember. Decided it was past time to get a sort of training center up, so we can work up a proper militia. But we're gonna have to convert some old barns, so I thought I'd come here to ask for some advice working over the place proper. Maybe get pointed towards some suppliers that are trustworthy."
Vaughn- That's a noble idea, teaching people to fend for themselves is a good way to build up community. Barns might be harder going than this was though, more construction.
Vaughn- The biggest issue for us was the balconies causing structural issues. We solved it by replacing internal walls with smaller pillars.
They were heading through such an area now, the pillars seemed to be numerous, but each of them seemed to be made of only relatively weak wooden beams.
Kincaid - "The wood seems weak. Sylvan is muggy; rot damage might be a problem. If you have to change them out regularly, it might do to find a mason instead of a woodworker."
The woman appeared to be utterly failing to pull herself up onto her feet, waving her hands at the assembled adventurers.

Arl - "I'm looking for a trainer? I have 100g, that should be enough for a few lessons, right?"

Vaughn- That was fantastic. Ah, a new face.

Kincaid - "Who put those in for you?"
Vaughn- Pillars have been changed a few times by us, but these brackets were put in by an Elexian who knows his architecture.
