Eizen enters the Hydrofuge with Gerr. After helping the greel unload a very large pile of coal into the little machinist's room Eizen walks towards the largest collection of skilled-looking machinists and asks his question.
Eizen - Could any of you disarm a bomb under time pressure? An advanced machine made with multiple rubies and the like.
The nearest group of skilled looking machinists was three steps away to the left. The second nearest was four steps away to the right. To reach the nearest group, Eizen and Gerr had to step single file over altogether too many pipes, one of which must have been leaking, and avoid knocking over at least three pitchers filled with god knows what absurd liquid.
One of the machinists moved his goggles off his eyes over his head, and squinted at Eizen.
"A bomb? What time pressure are we talking about here?"
Eizen - The sort where the bomb is ticking and you have no idea how much time is left. **Eizen calmly pulls out a small metal device with a crystal embedded at its center fitted with two switches.** We found this trigger on the man trying to set it off.
Eizen - It is currently in magical stasis but when returned to the here and now it will start ticking again and I do not know how much time was left when I froze it. The would-be criminal jumped on a horse and tried to ride away with great fear so I suspect it isn't very long.
"Hmm. Doesn't sound good. My advice is to do just what your criminal tried. Get on a Boat, moving very quickly, chuck it in the ocean, hope the yield is low enough and the time is great enough. Let me know how it works out for you."
"It smells of our prey, but there is nothing else of note about it. it seems we must take another look at our riddle to find the lock that this fits... But first perhaps we should visit the church and see if they can tell us anything about this thing." And they left.
Amaya wondered in with inventions on her mind. After a few hours she emerges with two new items.
Krackens Grasp - A near twin to Durzo's Grip, except it holds an advanced Thermal Activator and Hyperthermal Hand. It does not work with Ethereal Augments yet.
SheathPopper - Made with some minor edits from the Steampopper, this add on to any sheathe connects to the Steam pack giving the inside of the sheath pressure as the steampopper would have. Designed to launch one handed blades, hilt first, at a target for a blunt small to medium ranged strike. It can also help greatly with blade draw speed, allowing the wielder to draw and cut one smooth, blindingly fast movement. Activated by a trigger located near the top of the sheath.
