**Within the Artisan's District, southeast of the Epicrinian Institute, sits a sprawling, two story building that once served one of the school's main buildings. Those days are long past and today it houses one of Epicrin's more peculiar enterprises, the hostel known as Veny's Flytrap.
The building is clad in white boards, with porches and balconies running along its front and sides, laden with a seemingly random assortment of outdoor furniture. Music, light and laughter seem to constantly echo out from the main door.
Upon entering the main door, one finds themselves in a massive common room, with odd groupings of rugs and furniture encircling three free standing fireplaces. More couches and chairs line the perimeter of the room, interspersed with tables. Beside the front door is a counter whoever is on receptionist duty can usually be found. On the far side sits the cafeteria style window counter served by the kitchen.
Veny's Flytrap is owned and operated by a group of former circus performers who settled down in Epicrin, and they still like to perform when they are not doing their other duties.**
**The place was currently in mid-revelry. Over a dozen guests were seated in a circle around the center of the lobby, where a nadrask woman in silk and leather was dancing around a pygmy elephant, also "dancing" on its hind legs. A greel pat atop a nearby mantlepiece playing the accompanying music one some convoluted pipe instrument while a giant mop-headed man accompanied provided a beat with claps of his gargantuan hands. Behind the counter a golden furred jakari lady was reclining in her chair, utterly at ease with a languid smile across her cougarish face, a hand rolled cigarette of some sort dangling from it.
The man Arl had divined with her magics was not in sight at the moment.**
Without answering Veny, Bree slowly turned towards the main corridor of the room, realizing the loud festivities had subsumed into silence and all eyes were on them. She lowered one hand near her hip, calm but ready to draw at any moment. Her off hand casually grasped her smoke. Her veiled eyes met the dancer, the Drow's tone was now noticeably less friendly
"That's none of your concern, now answer the child's question."
"If he did nothing wrong than nothing will happen to him, the suspects we are looking for are no mere thieves and if Red did commit the heinous acts were investigating, I doubt you know him as well as you think you do. Is this man "Red" here?"
"The ****show we just investigated couldn't possibly have been the work of one person. It's completely possible that they've already split up though, and just as likely that your cook had nothing to do with it. Do you mind if we go talk to him?"
Veneficus - Listen, Red isn't one of mine, not anymore. We left the circus years ago to open this place. Red belongs to the same circus, he and some of the other performers stopped by a week ago to visit and take advantage of our hospitality. He's a guest, not an employee.
