When the officials of Elexia decided to build the sewer system that would keep their city clean and much less pungent, they did not account for the presence of the atarin. Hundreds of yards of sewer had to be diverted or rebuilt when some sections of the system intersected the aquatic race's tunnels.
To this day, the atarin make use of the sewer tunnels that don't have excrement flowing through them. Setting up camps and markets just below the city surface.
**Josie picked her way very carefully down to the Warren Trenches... Clear tunnels or no clear tunnels, they were still part of the sewer system she thought to herself, not exactly her cup o tea, if you know what I mean. She was in search of Councillor Monmoor.**
As she descended into the warrens she was pleasantly surprised to smell a mix of salt water and delicious spices. Dotted throughout the sewers were occasional fire pits, with tightly wound bundles of spices hung above them in rows. The smoke from these fires gave the tunnels an inviting aroma before escaping through grates that were probably original supposed to be drains.
If Josie's contacts were correct, Councillor Monmoor would be at the nearby market stalls this morning.
**Pleasantly surprised by what she found, Josie picked up her pace considerably, the enticing aroma from the fires easing her mood. With increased interest, she made her way over towards the direction of the market stalls.**
As Josie headed down the tunnels the sound of lively conversation slowly increased. Soon she was in the middling of a bustling market selling herbs, spices, corals, fabrics and other assorted goods. A group of atarin woman were gathered round a dashingly handsome atarin gentleman who one could easily assume was the councillor.
**Ahhh, thought Josie, he is quite the specimen. Sultry to perfection, the young theif made her way past the teeming market and over to the councillor. Choosing to hang just back from the atarin women, she tried to catch the eye of Monmoor.**
**Josie smiled, not missing the length of space between them.**
Josie - Spices? Mmm, I'm not shopping today, councillor. Besides, I have no idea how to properly cook. My business here is of the lost, needs to be found variety.
Once the roar of the marketplace died away, councillor Monmoor spoke up once more, the playful teller of tales was gone, replaced by a man using the dry intonations of a person of authority.
**Joséphine wasn't one to play games either, and she dropped her prowling manner immediately. It was never a good idea to mix business with pleasure, usually.**
Josie - Ah, how incredibly awkward for you. What is it you'd like to do about this?
Josie - Of course. Well, maybe a little embarrassment to go with it? I'll make sure that they receive the message loud and clear, along with your stolen material. But this, indiscretion, for lack of a better term, it's not something I'm going to have a problem with, is it?
**Joséphine didn't laugh, she actually found that to be quite sweet. Though she didn't let that show to Monmoor.**
Josie - A romantic, how very charming. Just point me in the right direction, councillor. We can't have our public servants extorted for being well-bred.

Monmoor- And that is why you should never accept a goat without asking where it came from. Oh, if you'll excuse me I think I have a meeting.
Monmoor had glanced up and spotted a Josie and was now gently guiding his admirers away as he approached the thief.
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Monmoor- Are you here to buy some unique spices, miss?
Josie - Spices? Mmm, I'm not shopping today, councillor. Besides, I have no idea how to properly cook. My business here is of the lost, needs to be found variety.

The councillor gestured in direction that led to another tunnel, much less crowded than the intersection at which the market rested.
Josie - Certainly, it would be my pleasure.
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Monmoor- I am currently being blackmailed.
Josie - Ah, how incredibly awkward for you. What is it you'd like to do about this?

Monmoor- The address of the offending party.
Josie - Thank you, I shall see to it. Are we to meet back upon completion?
