1 question and 1 clarification:
How do land control cards, such as annex interact with the land limit? Do these lands count? Also are we limited to having six lands in play or can we play a 7th and sacrifice another land. What about the interaction with bounce lands? Okay so thats like 3 questions.
My clarification is that i assume ALL cards with "shuffle graveyard into library" have an Exile clause on them? Ie elixir of immortality. Maybe just make this a blanket cause so we dont have to errata all cards that come out

With annex, as control has changed, the land would then count for its new controller.
You are limited to just having 6 or whatever your max is in play.
With bounce lands, you must be able to play the land as the bounce happens once the land is in play.
But, it is so much more fun to errata all the cards.
Elixir of Immortality has already been errata'd and the new text for the card is in the rules page. Suffice to say, anything with a "shuffle" clause will be reworded to "exile" in the future in some way.

Actually it wasn't at the time i posted, but it is good to know it has been updated. Yay for chang!
I also had another question, which is escaping me right now... Oh well i am sure i will think of it
Oh yes! It involved the change to elixir. The exiling face down should be a cost to prevent activation, bounce shenanigans.

So this died again didn't it? Just saying because I have noticed everyone has been busier than hell (myself and i'm sure other players included) and well no posts in quite some time to almost any threads other than basic chatter.

Oh i totally get cha DP but we kinda are waiting on all the WPL's to get anything really going right now. The busyness thing is a ghost of MTG RPG Past that doesn't stay dead and usually leads to mass inactivity/talking about mass inactivity.

Ah. Well, if there's nothing to be done in-game yet...as an initiate of the Benalia Paladins, I presume my character has been earning 5 gold per week since he joined?

I'm trapped in limbo. Gear has been approved via PM's but is trapped at the main gate. So assume he's pretty much looking for a quest especially given he's houseless.

Hello, just chatting while waiting for the PM acceptance. I also kinda went preemptive and tried to talk to characters on Dominaria. And messed with a few of the guilds, too. Until I'm accepted, that librarian over at Ismeri is stuck frozen in time with a sticker of the Boros Legion symbol on his face.

Apologies to those who have been eagerly waiting for responses and some action among the boards; the WPLs, myself included, have been fairly busy with life as of late.
The plan right now is to have some smaller side quests ready for people to participate in while the main story is finalized. I would advise everyone to finish tying up whatever introductory posting they've started among some of the other areas in preparation for going out on some adventures, because they'll likely be posted sometime soon
To those who have sent PMs, I will attend to them likely tomorrow - I will be heading to bed soon, and won't have much time to get to them tonight.
Sorry for the delays. We're getting there - promise!
Well, based on the PM from small himself, and the fact that I'm finalizing the Satchel soon, that poor librarian could stop, well, being stopped, and get mad at me for the Boros sticker on the face. Man, that'll be funny.

EDIT: Because I don't want to spam up the thread with more questions:
"The World" tab in the rules thread says that spells from Alara Reborn may not be taken yet, but the "Story" tab says that Alara starts fully unlocked. Which is correct?
Can we create multiple characters? (e.g. I make a character from Dominaria now, then when JOU releases in a few months I decide I want to RP a character from Theros instead.) Can an old character be voluntarily retired to make way for a new one?
Appreciate the bump - somehow missed the questions.

The World tab is - our plan is to unlock them in the near future. I have to do a couple other edits to the rules page, so I will attend to this along with the rest of them. Thanks for bringing this up, though.

I'm in the process of bringing this up to the WPLs and discuss potentially allowing people having more than one character. I'll keep you all updated as things progress.

Alara being completely open is correct. I thought that I had fixed this before, but now it is definitely fixed.
- It is now official - multiple characters are a go! The rules for multiple characters are as follows: +One character, per plane, per player at any one point in time (example: one character in Dominaria, one in Ravnica). No exceptions. + No trading between characters to obtain an unfair advantage. + If possible, keep it clear when posting which character you are controlling to avoid confusion. + Any further questions should be directed at the current WPLs.
- "Mill until X lands": Some cards (such as Mind Funeral or Mind Grind) state to mill cards until you hit X lands. In cases like this, roll X 1d3 dice, where X is the amount of lands that would be revealed. The total number of the dice will be the amount of cards milled as directed under the "Mill X" rule.
Example:
Player A casts Mind Funeral on Player B, who has 20 cards in their library.
Player A rolls 4d3, totals up the numbers, and gets 10.
Player B mills ([10 / 60] * 20) per the mill formula, or 3 cards.
This fixes a loophole and clears up some confusion about those particular mill spells, and fixes any that might appear in the future. Please note that while we believe these numbers are balanced, mistakes happen, and we reserve the right to tweak the numbers until they fit in a way that's better for the RPG.
- Qfx has fixed the mistake between whether or not Alara block starts fully unlocked; it has been amended in the Rules page.
- Cleaned up a couple smiley / syntax errors in the Rules page.
- Two quests are currently finished and will be posted by Friday at the latest. This is to give enough time for everyone to finish whatever introductions they have left to do. Information regarding the quests will be given as we get closer to the end of the week - keep checking back!
As always, if you have any questions about these changes, feel free to get a hold of either Cyouni, Qfx, or myself.
How long is the sign up period for individual quests? If I'd like my character to duel another mage right now, for example, is it probable that he'd have the time to join a quest afterwards?
You will have ample time to join the quests inbetween duels and whatever else you fancy between now and the end of the week. The quests themselves won't start immediately; they'll start as the sign-ups fill up - each quest will have about 2-3 openings, and we currently are scheduled to have enough quests available for everyone to participate.
It just means that other people may or may not be waiting on you for a day or two when you finish your arena.
