They love and hate to see me walk through the door. I'm the man with the box, one to carry all his Standard cards with him. I've got the commons and uncommons they need. But I've also got my decks. If I walk into FNM, I came to play. And they never know what I'm gonna pull out of my hat next. I may lose more than I win, but it just might be THIS deck that has all the answers that they don't have answers for. They fear the unknown. They fear me. And they never see me coming!
Mumbling under his breath, Xin's aura flickered briefly, the flames around his feet growing in a small circle that twirled in the cold winter wind. After a moment, however, they died down again, and Xin was left with nothing but a twirling dagger and a trio of flagpoles standing around him, flames whipping in the air.
"I'm wondering why you think I have tricks up my sleeve...if I had, I'd have done them by now."

"Not quite yet," he whispered, his voice barely audible to his opponent. Picking up two of the flagpoles, he whipped them around full-circle, the banners erupting in sudden energy as he threw them forward.
Before hitting the ground, the banners ripped themselves off of the long, black poles, perching themselves agilely onto the cold earth, their bodies ablaze as they caught their respective poles, gripping them with both hands like spears.
Gritting his teeth, he sighed. 'This is going to hurt.'
OOC: Waiting on the "final order to engage", as per roleplaying standards. I already know blocking assignments, though.

Gripping his dagger tightly, he points with his other hand at one of the apes. "You two, there."
To the other one charging him, he gritted his teeth, raising both hands to meet the ape - the dagger plunging into the beast, while his other hand blasted it with another bolt of lightning.
OOC: Waiting on pumps before determining life totals, because I'm expecting one here.

OOC: How can I make more tricks, it has split second and I'm all tapped out.
Crying out in fury, he rolled to the side at the last possible instant, escaping the fatal blow even as the force of the impact sent both the spearmen and the red mage flying across the ground, bouncing several times before skidding to a stop.
Panting, Xin gently raised himself back up, spitting on the ground as he shook his hand, trying to get his mind off of the pain of his injuries. Sheathing his dagger, he reached for the last flagpole standing, the other two long-since crumbled away into dust, and cracked it in half. His mana ties disappeared almost instantly.
"I'm done wasting my time here."
He hadn't the desire to stay back and listen to the judge announce the winner; Xin had already known what the outcome would be, the moment his opponent starting healing his wounds.
Balling his hands into fists, he growled under his breath, his footsteps rough along the cold, hard ground as he hid his face under the cloak, hiding the eyes that threatened to tear up at the frustration of losing again.
Ignoring the rudeness shown by his opponent, Felpurr bows to him.
"A good match, you gave me a challenge. I appreciate that."
Felpurr waits for a judge to officially announce the end of the match.
OOC: Merry Christmas to you as well! I was worried for a while there, that I wouldn't have enough time to cast my healing. Very well played.

OOC: I knew you had at least two, given what I learned about your satchel from other threads; the lowest I could get you to was 5, though. If this was a 15-life total match, I'd have had you; otherwise, a starter satchel like mine just can't compete competitively against anything with lifegain or things like Extirpate.
It'll be nice to get a couple more spells under my belt...then maybe I'll be a tougher opponent. As it stands now, I'm pretty limited, and therefore not that great :S
The judge strides up to Felpurr's side and was about to raise his paw in victory before pausing to consider what Felpurr actually was. Instead he settled on gesturing to Felpurr as the victor.
Felpurr gain .5 for beating Xin to be awarded when he returns to estark. Xin gains 1 experience for being knocked out of the tournament and participation also to be awarded when he returns to Estark.
OOC: Same drill.
