The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving, control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sado-masochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.
Voice: Now that is a question that might require a master. Let me contact Mochi surly he knows. And I had thought that you would have an easy question to.
In quick time a large blue kami appears.
Mochi: Devlin, Igor said you would be on your way. Why I wasn't told sooner that you were here I don't know. Now as for your question. There are such places here on this plane one only needs to know where to look. Far far north almost at the most north point of this plane you will find a vast ice feild. I think what you seek is under that but i'm not sure. In theory its there but you know theory its consistantly tested wrong. Anyway thats where you want to go. If you wish for further information you have free access to our library if it helps. Otherwise saffi might know more. Heck she might even have been there before you never know.

After a long and grueling mission to investigate Ertai, Empty Square has returned home and claimed his reward. "Time to shop," he says. He exits the house and heads to Frankie Peanuts.
Devlin is brought into the library and allowed to look for anything he might be interested in.
OOC: Devlin feel free to tell me what exactly you are looking for as this is quite the vast place of knowledge (as obvious as your intended material may be).

Never forget: there's always someone bigger, better and stronger than you.
Someone once asked me why, when I talk about House Dimir, I don't put the word "the" in front of it.
At the time, I had no answer, but it just came to me.
Do we put the word "the" in front of God?

Once he enters the library, Devlin finds a table and places the cleaver down on it. He sits in the chair and tilts his head to the side, cracking his neck. Then, he begins to glow with black mana and, all of a sudden, he separates into two beings. The second is identical in all ways, except it has two eyes and is dressed all in white with a black mask. Devlin turns to the new manifestation and nods, "Let's go." The pair move towards the bookshelves.
Devlin is looking for records of artificers who might have the power and ability to make a silver sea, and where they might have operated. The negative aspect (Nilved) is looking through the historical record looking for mysterious power surges and mysterious disappearances.

"Hello Mochi," says Borminae, "I've just been away from the house of Lat-Nam for so long, I just wanted to stop by and ask about any interesting events that've occured or quests that had opened up during my absence."
"Hm. Let me think. There are a couple of commissions that I believe you'd be able to handle. There's a search for some sort of natural phenomenon, or there's one where you'll be working for the city guard in an investigative capacity outside the city. Interested in either one?"

Devlin reads of an artificer who existed during the Ice age who had such a power. The artificer evidently worked at one point under the drive of Merrit Lag until being consumed by the madness of her power.
Nilved reads a lot about the walkers and their power surges. He also happens to find a book from the Izzet that appears to not have been opened in some time. Upon skimming it he finds one section that seems of interest. Evidently the Izzet once were able to create a rift to another world. Problem was it destroyed almost an entire continent. Still an accomplisment by Izzet standards.

Nilved doesn't find anything about Marit Lage other than bits and peices about her power and that she must have been a giant kakren like creature. As for the artificer oddly enough he is never referenced again beyond the first book you found.

Devlin closes his one eye and thinks briefly. He then opens it. "Three options," he mutters. "Nilved!"
Nilved scurries over and, with a soft gust of wind, is reabsorbed into Devlin. Devlin then walks out of the library and back to the foyer.
He calls out, "Is Mochi about?"
