Ok guys as we are getting more and more into this thing I suppose we may want to look at cards that potentially corrupt the format (and no pyroclasm and all burn spells in general can not be automatically added for you non red mages). If you have a spell you think it should make this list speak up and we will see and discuss it.
Edited addition by Ti'rin: All who wish to propose spells, if I do not read an in-depth reason for why the spell is being proposed, I will ignore the request. I am not speaking for the other WPLs, only for myself. Something that is more in-depth than "it's broken."
So, if there is no logical, in-depth, progressive statement as to why a card should be banned or restricted, I will fight tooth and nail to keep it on full access because there was no reason, in my mind for the spell to be banned or restricted.
This is my policy on this thread.
Fenris's edit:
Guys I do agree that you need reasoning. Its good to hear what players have to say about why a card should be removed. Just because, tells me nothing. Maybe I missed something. Show me that.
New Cards:
House Signets All are Common and count as being from standard:
Warlock Signet

Current cards under consideration: NONE
Also, I don't want to read "and its cycle" anymore. I want the posting person to list every card they want restricted or banned. If you can't name the card, I won't consider it.
Just so you know, a card will pass with a 3/4 majority among the mods. If you don't agree with us, write your reasons here (or send a PM if you want to be anonymous.
So are you suggesting it as a banned or restricted card. Remember guys Banned cards will not be avaliable to players period. Restricted spells will be limited to 2 or less castings and players will be charged full gem amounts for just the 1 or 2 castings.

I want to be fair and just say restrict, but I've seen matches where all the green mage gets out is 2 , and it's still increadible how fast they ramp up.
And I could support restricting Cabal Therapy, but banning it is excessive. It's not broken.
The problem with banning those cards, Howler, is that, by the same logic, we should ban all of the 1-cost burn spells. Pyroclasm would also fall under the same consideration, as well as Rite of Flame and all other quick burn spells. If you're willing to accept those being banned, I will accept Skyshroud Ranger and its ilk being banned.
The consideration is that green is all about large creatures and mana acceleration. Once you limit mana acceleration, it's like limiting red magic's ability to burn, blue's ability to control the board, black's destruction and white's protection. Unless you are willing to ban some of the more frequently used spells from the others, then you are limiting that which is already limited in this format simply due to the fact that we are counting activation of the Ranger's ability as casting a spell.
All the ranger does is summon mana. It has no other abilities and only 1 toughness. Howler, there are 19 possible 1-drop solutions to handle Skyshroud Ranger and Sakura-Tribe Springcaller in all colors except green, which shouldn't care because a green mage can also use mana acceleration.
Never forget: there's always someone bigger, better and stronger than you.
Someone once asked me why, when I talk about House Dimir, I don't put the word "the" in front of it.
At the time, I had no answer, but it just came to me.
Do we put the word "the" in front of God?

I think cabal therapy is excessively strong and thus merits a ban, I also think, to some extent cards like enduring renewal should be banned as it is far to easy to create a combo with in this game
Suggestions:
Banned- Cabal therapy Wrens-run Vanquisher and cycle. These cards are way too powerful creatures with practically no drawback.
Restricted: Extirpate Having four of this gem would be faaaarrrrr too powerful. I think 2 will suffice. Feast of Flesh and cycle (odd seeing as I just got Rite of Flame) I like these cards, as they all have unique abilities, but the fourth card is way too powerful. I say we restrict this to 3 castings.
I think that making Extirpate restricted would make sense.
The creatures that are similar to the Vanquisher that video is proposing to add to the list are not, I think, too powerful for their effects, except, perhaps for the Wren's Run Vanquisher itself. What this means is that I will fight tooth and nail to keep as many of the creatures similar to the Vanquisher off the banned list as possible, except for the vanquisher. I want to see what others think about the Vanquisher before I make a decision.
As for cards that stack additional effects for those in the graveyard, the only ones that really get nasty are the 1-drops. I would argue against banning them, but restriction would not be too terrible, I guess.

Ban Haunting Echoes, if it's going to do what it does normally.
That would utterly, totally, and completely screw over anyone. It may be my favorite card in paper Magic, but in this I think it's a hair over the top.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

In the same vein, spells such as Cranial Extraction, Sowing Salt, Splinter, and the rest of that cycle should probably be restricted. Not banned, because they're not that powerful, but having four copies when most have a limited spell pool would wreck someone in a bad way.
Any RFG effect that hits more than a single copy of a card should probably be restricted in my opinion, but that's just me. I know it hoses my options, as I'm playing a black mage, but jeez, I'd like it to be fair...
Edit: If Dark Rit is banned/restricted, I really hope the red versions get the same treatment. I don't see a problem with accel.

The mana acceleration spells, the one-time use stuff (Dark Ritual, Cabal Ritual, Seething Song, Rite of Flame) are limited enough by taking up one of the spells that a character can play in a turn, so I have to disagree.
Also, WUBRG, do you have any better reason for Dark Ritual or are you just arbitrarily expressing your opinion?

Because it's super mana accel. You can get lots of mana on the first turn if you are lucky. Here's an example in real Magic: Swamp, D.R., D.R., any number of black cards that add up to 5 black mana. If you're lucky (In the real game, since you can't use legendaries in the RPG) you get a third D.R. and Phage in your opening hand. First turn Phage FTW.
Sure, but Dark Ritual is limited in this format because it counts as a spell being cast for the turn! Since you only get three spells, then you can only use Dark Ritual twice at once, which limits what you get out of it. Also, I'm not sure if you noticed, but Dark Ritual is Fifth Edition! You know how unlikely it is that one of the WPLs will grant a spell as a reward from that far back? We're sticking with our current extended, which is as far back as seventh edition and, from what I understand, Dark Ritual does not fall into that category.

I don't see the point in banning Haunting Echoes; we don't have "libraries" so to speak, so all it does is remove out GY's from the game. Doesn't strike me as anything too powerful.
Since we are treating the satchel as enough of a library for purposes of milling and dredge, I would rule that Haunting Echoes would treat the satchel exactly the same way.
