"Yes, but now is not the time for pleasantries and platitudes." Tai replied, feeling a fresh wave of pain roll through him. His aura flares a brilliant white as the elf bestows on him a mote of green energy. He then calls forth two more elves, one whose head is bowed in silent prayer, and another like the first. Once more, Tai stands ready.
With the cessation of pain comes the realization that this is only the start. Mar quickly evaluates what he sees, and doesn't like it. And he knows that while he posses the means to come back from the brink, he cannot say the same for others - and it is likely this Orb will take all to take down.
So he walks forwards at a calm pace, deciding that he should save his efforts for the next wave, as this one appears to be well in hand, and makes towards a pair that have just dealt with their foes.
"There is always time for pleasantries. Without them, we are no better then them." Mar gestures towards the fallen goblins, which had done nothing but scream incoherently, as he spoke. "And pleasantries allow us to do things, such as request that none bring more servants to the field until after that thing's next summons."
That last is pitched loudly enough to carry to the other mages.
Seeing as how there's enough creatures and players to deal with this wave, Mar's going to do nothing this combat round except walk over to Tai
Feeling the crippling pain, Vorin grabs some dirt in his hand. He squeezes the dirt with all his strength to resist loosing consciousness. The pain was worse than anything he had felt gathering red mana. He became woozy, and began to collapse to the floor until suddenly it stops. With a sudden clairty in his head, he catches himself. His weakened arm struggles to keep himself up, but he slowly manages to get to his feet as bits of rubble hit him as he gets up.
His body still aches from the pain, but suddenly the red mana coursing through his body seems mild by comparison. He has no time to react to the goblin charging him, but fortunately it gets destroyed by someone else. With the strength he can muster he begins to move further from the orb, to get behind some of the more prepared mages, ready to support them as he can. He wasn't used to fighting on teams, but seeing the camaraderie of the Estark mages around him, it seemed like he would need to do his part. Plus, Tangarth was counting on him.
From a safer distance, he commanded drew upon the desert mana he had gathered, and fired a small wave of sand at one of the goblins that hit Kennar.
OOC: Vorin retreats towards Flame-Tongue and uses Desert to kill a goblin attacking Kennar, assuming it survives. Also, if there is any creature combat, I can step in with Oasis, but none so far.
EDIT: Turn Actions:
Vorin gathered more red mana, barely noticing the pain it caused him. He continued to move away from the orb slowly, ready to blast anything that approaches him.
if the orb chooses, the knucklebone witch is going to get a bunch of +1/+1 counters and tromp all over David's Ghitu Encampant unless someone does something. Not that Flame-Tongue cares, just thought I'd point it out.
The Encampment will do damage before all of this stuff we're doing, excepting the Shock.
Cyouni offers a shrug before turning back to watch the orb. What the orb had thrown out so far wasn't particularly dangerous, but he has no doubt there's more to come.
He shifts the dagger to his left hand. The symbol glints again, and a sword with a blade of fire appears in his right hand.
OOC: Everyone gets a round before the orb does anything else. Forgot to mention that. Editing your posts with your round's actions would be the easiest way to go about this.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
Erin sees that there's a lot of... Goblins? Evil looking ones too. That's not something she wants to deal with. Yet... Leaving everyone else to deal with them alone doesn't look like something she's interested in doing either. So the kitsune moves inwards so she's prepared for battle. That said, with all of the goblins apparently spoken for, as far as she can tell, she has no intention of actually engaging. Not yet.
None.
When she has a chance, she grabs another orb from midair. First, there's nothing. Then there's an orb in her hand. Her eyes are fixed on the dark orb in front of her. Is that doing it? What if they attack that?
After the the Goblin Witch was dealt with, David brushed himself off while thinking his next move. He figured if he was going to do anything, now was the time to do it. He was curious about the Orb and decided to get closer to it for a better look. Keeping his connection to the leylines, he strengthened them a little more. Before he got any closer though he felt he should put some muscle out just on the safe side. Taking his knife he pricked his finger and while the blood started to bubble out of it, he picked up a nearby rock. Tracing the image of an eye on the rock with his blood, he connected the rock to the leylines and set it back down. The rock exploded and when the smoke cleared a Cyclops with skin as red as blood and appeared to be as hard as stone emerged.
"Stay close and be ready to throw whatever comes at me back at that Orb."
The Cyclops acknowledged David with a grunt as they stood in front of the Orb. Reaching out his hand David attempts to touch the orb.
Mar sighs, seeing how many of the present continue to summon new creatures to the rubble. "Nobody ever listens."
He then examines the orb, attempting to see if it holds any connections that could be attacked. As he does so, the circle of tile at his feet creeps outwards slowly.
Play a second [card]Godless Shrine[\card] I now have two. One is untapped.
[spoiler=Kennar]Kennar draws his sword just as one of the goblins reaches him. With a swift motion, he decapitates the little creature. Unfortunately, he recieves two slices to his flank, one from the killed goblin and one from its partner.
Swirling dust from the power of the desert kills the second goblin as it hits the flamekin.
Kennar extends his left hand, and again the shadows around him congeal into his palm and burst into a black flame.
One black flame in his left hand and one ruby flame in his right hand go dim. A small cyclone of shadow and fire swirls up in front of the flamekin. When it dies down, a beautiful woman stands cloaked and crouched. She smiles, and her teeth are sharp and enlongated.

With the goblins dead, the orb floats for a moment doing nothing.
Then, it flares with unholy purple light. Bursts of black flame explode from the hovering sphere, streaking toward many of the summoned creatures and burning them to nothing but charred bone and dust.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
David smirked when he saw his Cyclops become burnt to a crisp. Taking his hand back he decided to think for a few moments on what to do first. The orb was clearly dangerous, however so far it had only caused the destruction of each mage's summon. Making another connection to the red leyline, David placed his hand on the orb and decided to send a small jolt of electricity through it.
"Lets see what this thing does..."

The symbol glints, another gem flashes, and a cloak appears. Slung over Cyouni's shoulder, its silvery material almost seems to flicker as he shifts his weight back and forth.
OOC: Shoot Nai's Lumengrid Warden, then. I expect that it'll wear off when the orb takes a "turn." Also, holding my action, may have responses depending on what happens next.
Zalara calls upon another spirit of stone and waits to see if the other red mages' attacks have any effect.

Vorin gathers another source of red mana. As his head is still ringing from the pain from before, he feels no pain from the mana.
Now at a safe distance from the orb, Vorin decides he'll add a creature to the mix. This force can't kill all their combined creatures forever. Vorin drew all his mana into his body, and in front of him a large dragon appeared. The dragon flew up, above the other houses and began circling the battlefield, ready to attack.
The kitsune is not exactly happy that her Warden ally is attacked by one of the other mage's summons. She shoots a glare at Zalara, obviously huffy about it. And obviously not taking this orb-thing seriously. Then again... She hasn't been given a chance to actually do something. Hrm...
A fifth orb shows up in her hand, slowly tossed with the others. It's said you can easily juggle one more ball than you have hands. Yet she's doing five with two. Huh.
A thoughtful kitsune tosses two orbs onto the ground before her, which sink in. Oddly enough, they appear back into her hands, slightly dimmed. Where they sunk, a tinker-toy mage appears to stand near her Warden. Or, okay, slightly behind it.
Furrowing his brow, Tai decided to take a different course of action. With a wave of his hand, a dimly glowing lantern appeared in front of him, resonating with the spirits of his fallen Rangers. Then a portion of his aura flickered, then renewed, resonating with the Santuary that has been his second home for some time.
Soru had been pondering all through the attack of the goblins, as his elemental could not be called to anyone's defense. He decides to call upon the fairy conclave and stay ready with his mana for the while.
