How would your character respond to what's happened? He thought he was in his dreams but now feels like he is in the real world where he has happened upon what appears to be the very artifact he sought. All of this happening after that violent image of his home being attacked.
What do you think he would do? How would he react? What emotions are running through his head? Would he approach the artifact? Would he run away? Would he investigate his surroundings? What would he do?

The captain opens her own door to find that there is no one there after being certain she had heard a knocking. Growling in irritation she slammed her door shut and went back to studying her sea charts.

The fellow that had been talking to Deth became startled by Lelouch's sudden return. Recovering himself he said, "This particular legen' revolves aroun' an ancien' evil from the Ice Age tha' wen' by the name oh Mari' Lage. Name ring ah bell?"
"What is this place? Is it Teresare? Is that...."
Walking towards the pillar in the distance, thinking to himself, "This is all very strange. First, the attack on my home in my dream. That pissed me off. I know it was just a dream, and my kin didnt really get hurt, but its the principle of it. No one invades my sanctuary. No one. And then this blasted snow! I didnt think I could feel like this on the Dreamscape. HAve I been transported? Or is it just a really vivid dream?"
Getting closer to what he considered his goal, Evan keeps on trudging through the blistering cold, hoping that he could discover the reason he was here, how he was brought here, and who, or what, had invaded his mind.
Closer and closer, until he could make out the area surrounding the artifact.....
Every step he took calmed the blizzard around him until it had completely died down. There in the middle of a frozen lake stood a small snow-covered island with the lonely obelisk standing vigil.
Surrounding the obelisk island and frozen lake were distant mountains and the ruins of ancient buildings supported by columns, all covered in snow.
Beneath his feet was a good solid two feet of ice. Below the ice the water seemed calm with light barely penetrating the depths. From his current view he thought he could make out the faintest hint of either outlines in the shape of thick curved lines or possibly the lip of underwater caverns...
Barely noticing that the blizzard had let up, Evan headed off towards the island in the center of the lake. Before he got to close however, he tried to judge the best course from where he was, looking for any cracks in the ice, thin spots, holes, and the shortest distance from the land to the actual island itself.
"Mari' Lage? Can't say I've heard of it. It's a great evil you say? What did it do?" Deth starts to worry after hearing "great evil", but shrugs his shoulders, sure it is to unlikely to be considered about. However, it might make a great story.

Time flys like an arrow. Fruit flys like a banana.
The ice appeared quite stable to Evan leading him to see that the quickest path was the one that leads straight to the island and thus the artifact. Below the ice were the still shadows, forever unmoving...
-----
"Who knows..." chuckled the sailor as he grinned at Deth. "Mos' tha legens say tha' ol' Lage was once a mortal that sol' her soul for power. Others say she was a goddess that took the form oh mortals. All the tales say her presence was one like an omen oh death and destruction. Wherever she went civilizations were sure to fall. One tale indicates her heralding into this plane was made possible by the destruction of an entire plane near dominaria. All the tales do agree tha' she were finally stopped by a mighty union of mages using her magic and the power of the ice age to trap and bind her for all eternity..."
The sailor seemed to become thoughtful at this point.
"has no one tried to free her? It seems like an accident waiting to happen, if she has no guards."
At this, Deth looks thoughtful, and begins to scheme. 'I wonder if There would be someway to contact her, and maybe attempt to negotiate releasing her. She sounds like a powerful ally. But how could I make sure she doesn't betray me. I've heard a deal with a demon is binding, but I don't know if it's binding to a godess, or even if it's true for demons. Hmm, something to think about.'

Time flys like an arrow. Fruit flys like a banana.
Seeing his path before him, Evan heads out to cross the ice, making sure to tread lightly, in case his eyes had deceived him, cautiously heading towards his prize...
Evan stood before the stone artifact, safely on the island. The stone stood but a few feet from him, a silent hum from the stone seemed to beckon him forward...
-----
The sailor shrugged his shoulders saying, "I always though' tha tale to be one mean' ta scare tha children. You know, the big bad dark tha will come for ya if you misbehave."
The sailor thought for a moment and said, "A few of the tales do mention a warden oh sorts standing vigil. Nevah any mention oh an actual guardian, jus' a force..."
The sailor thought hard until he finally shook his head in frustration saying, "No, all I can really see standin' out from tha stories is some phrase alon' tha lines oh 'as eternal as stone itself'. Whatevah thas suppose' ta mean."
'Marvelous, simply marvelous. How long has this great artifact been here? No one to take it, if that were possible, to harm it, I know this is just a dream, or maybe something else, but it can't be this easy to have reached this place. I'm still on the ship, resting in meditation..."
Approaching the stone obelisk, Evan reaches his hand out to touch the Stone...
"ah, well sounds like we are safe." Deth pauses for a moment, then "so, any other legends to tell that could pass the time? Or, if your muse has deserted you, I could tell a legend, of a distant plane?"
OOC: If it's the latter, I plan to take one off the wizards site. Is that ok, as long as its properly cited? Sorry, Im bad at fictional writing.
The feel of stone on Evan's hand is ice cold with a rough porous surface. This feeling is only momentary as the entire artifact begins to disintegrate into a fine dust spreading out in a circular pattern from where his hand had touched it.
The island itself began to shake violently as cracks appeared in the frozen lake surrounding the island. Water began to spray out violently from the cracks like ancient geysers. Each spray causing the ground and ice to crack further.
Then with a thundering clap came the tentacles seen earlier in the dream reaching for the sky. They began to curl inward casting a shadow as they blotted out the sun. Then as one they lurched forward piercing Evan's body.
-----
Evan awoke in a dark room to the rocking motion of the boat. There was a pain in his chest from where he had been stabbed moments ago in the dream. His breathing was a bit erratic and his body was sweating heavily, but other than that he was physically fine. He apparently had just experienced a very strange dream...
-----
The sailor shrugged his shoulders saying, "Not many more tales from me. But if ya have a tale you wish to share then by all means share it."
Paraphrasing one of the tales from the official site is fine. For in game character knowledge you should avoid Alara, Zendikar, and new Phyrexia as tales from those planes should not be common knowledge in the RPG yet.
Well gentleman I must return to my quarters for rest. See you come morn.
ooc: I will be going on vacation for 2 weeks so just let him sleep for quite a while or if the ship gets attack make him pass out or control him while I'm gone see u guys later

" This is the story of a master impostor. He was born, and left in an orphanage. His was in kamigawa. It is the plane where gods, and spirits walk the earth, called kami by the mortals inhabiting that plane. It is a plane of samurai, and ninja, a place filled with orges, humans, and many others. The gods walked among mortals, and the daimyos control almost everything. However, our master of disguises never started off as important, he was a simple pesant. He was average in everything, but he learned how to change his appearance. He saw a futre he hated ahead of him, but why, he thought, did he have to stay himself? He travled, improving his craft wherever he went. It was said even the kami feared him. But one day, he went after an important document, one he hoped held his birth name, for all he knew was his last name, gained from a tolken found with him, one from the Sakashima clan. At this time, there was a war between the kami and the mortals. It had led to the kami attacking the fortress. Sakashima in his arrogance, Entered the fortress during the siege. But the siege intensified, and he realized he wouldn't be able to sneak past the kami again. With only 5 mortals left, they used trickery to kill the kami, and the 5 parted, till only the samurai charged with separating him from his head were left. However, the bonds formed by near-death experiences are strong, and Sakashima departed from their with the knowlage of his name, given to him by his new ally." "All pomp ta me. Besides anyone who takes the word of a man at face value deserves to be betrayed!" spoke the sailor with a spit off the side at the end.
Deth walks over next to the sailor, and leans on the railing.
"For part, I agree. However, you must repect it. It can turn men into a creature driven by revenge, living only to avenge his honor for a percived slight." He spat. "It can be danger, but also a blessing, for it it restricts an enemy. ... On the other hand, all must have some sort of moral compass, correct? " The last part was said with an eyebrow raised.

Awaking with a start, Evan grabs his chest, thinking to himself, "What was that thing? That must have been the stone, i'm sure of it. But, if that thing is guarding the stone, we may be in for some trouble."
Getting up from his posotion, Evan scampers back towards the Crow's Nest, hoping to ask the sailor that had caused Evan to change his napping place if he knew of any such thing that had tentacles that could block out the sun, and was under ice...
"What good does a moral-- Gah!" shrieked the sailor as he saw Evan come into the crow's nest. He quickly recovered saying, "Sorry 'bout that, not used to traveling with somethin' that looks scary at night..."
