Deth then stands, and looks around. he stands, surveying the port. After five minutes, he goes 90º to the right. After 5 minutes, he repeats the action. For the rest of the watch, he continues this pattern.

Time flys like an arrow. Fruit flys like a banana.
Deth manages a clumsy watch while trying to maneuver around Evan in what was starting to feel like an all to small crows nest. Then just as Deth stepped over Evan to scout another position an ugly and partly toothless face appeared before him. The man seemed confused as he hung from the side pushing off the ropes and then asked, "Why are you and the rat up here? Captain didn't say nothin' about no one takin' my post!"
We apologize. We have, with the captains permission, started a separate watch. Would you like to take one side, and aI'll take the other, or did you bring a deck of cards? The last part is accompanied by a feral grin.

"You mind keeping it down Deth? I'm trying to get some sleep before my..."
Looking up, Evan sees the toothed man with a pissed off expression on his face.
Hearing what he said, Evan states matter-of-factly, "Look, we're not trying to mess woth your post, and, seeing as its rather cramped here for three people, I'll just go and try to find somewhere else to sleep. Have fun with your new friend, Deth. Don't hurt him too badly."
With that said, Evan jumps from his laying down position onto the rigging, and clambers down, looking for a place that is out of the way of the crew, where he won't be disturbed with his nap/meditation.
The man opened his mouth ready to respond when Evan had clambered down the rigging leaving the two alone. The man close his mouth and thought for a moment before saying, "The captain don't like when we play games while on duty. Two sets of eyes are always better than one anyways. I guess I'll join ya then..."
The man pulled himself into the nest and asked, "What're y'all lookin' for out west anyways?"
-----
Evan's journey brought him near the bottom of the ship where most of the ship's supplies were stored. Here he felt a cold and familiar comfort. Plenty of shadows to hide within and a faint familiar sensation. Evan could 'sense' nearby creatures, ones that seemed to echo with his spells...
The man looked confused as Deth responded, he had apparently been expecting a different answer. Shaking off the confusion he said, "No, no. The whole crew knows we're sailing west. Thas wha' I mean' by askin' what're y'all lookin' for out west."
-----
As Evan slipped into his dreams he subconsciously felt something alien and small entering his dreams. Nothing so strong that he would awaken, yet there was the subtle hint of a new presence foreign to his mind...
Sent a final warning to Tezz, on posting. I need a descriptive environment of Evan's current dream scape to build upon my next place. Focus on providing me with a clear scene, are there trees? A lot of them? Is Evan physically there? Is he dreaming about fellow rats in an area? What's going on in the dream right now? Give me those things as they are extremely important for what I plan to post next and i would hate to take over your character by saying what exactly he is dreaming.
As always, Evan is Lucid in his dreams. He has been ever since he was a child.
Entering his dream world, Evan sets up the setting of his old home...
His old home, the hovel in the swamp, surrounded on all sides by the local forest, was in shambles as usual. Evan is wearing his old rag of a tunic, and is playing with his normal rat friends.
The Large Ones always running around in litters of twenty or more, the Small Ones always off by themselves. Going to his Secret Place, an old abandoned sinkhole away from his hovel, away from his uncaring, almost never there family, Evan sees that he has some new rats in his group. He shoos them out, wanting the area and the time for himself to practice what he never told his family about: Magic.
Evan was especially attuned to the mana of his home, the Swamp. He was always calling his rat friends out of nowhere and nothing. Always making the shadows darker, always talking to his rats. The Sinkhole was about fifty feet deep, on a steep downgrade that only he seemed to be able to climb with any amount of ease.
The only light came in through the top, filtered green by the trees that surrounded it, hiding it from view. Evan spent a lot of time here when he was younger, and this Sinkhole was what had awakened the ability within him to control the Black mana within him. The walls were steep, almost smooth, except on the side where he entered and exited. There was debris everywhere, refuse and leaves, twigs, sticks and anything else the forest decided to let drop here.
Now, being lucid, as always, this was where Evan went to practice the things he did in the Waking world. He came here often enough to know when something was amiss. Something was here, or close to here, that shouldn't be...
OOC: No matter how i edit it, it just stays this way. Sorry for the inconvinience.
Rushing out to see what was going on, clambering up the incline, back to his hovel.
This isn't part of my dream, what's going on? Is there something attacking the ship i'm on? Or has something entered the realm where i am most powerful, my own mind?
OOC: If there is going to be mana and a fight in my head, should I follow normal rules for combat, or what?
Finally understanding We don't know much. All I know is we're looking for some artifact on ice. Any ideas on what it might be? Or any rumors of things we might face?
OOC: Is it possible for Whats happening in the dream to translate to real world things? And if evan show visible signs of a fight, can we help in any way?

Don't worry, whenever there is combat or anything like that I will be sure to let you guys know. Right now Evan is experiencing a dream/nightmare of sorts.
Evan's eyes are shown a disturbing sight as giant black octopus-like tentacles burst from the murky waters of the swamp wrapping around his kin. One after another a tentacle appeared, grasped a kin, and then vanished into the waters leaving behind ice patches. The screams were quickly dying out as his kin dwindled down to nothing leaving him alone in his hovel, breath beginning to mist as the temperature began to drop...
-----
The man watched as the Deth exchanged words with the other mage before commenting, "Can' say tha' I know anythin'. We sailors aren' much good excep' for doin' our jobs and spreadin' legends..."
-----
The captain responds after a few seconds saying, "Enter!" in a brisk tone.
Tezzeret, you are mistaking Evan's dream with the waking world. The ship is fine, Evan is simply having a very very bad dream that only he is currently aware of.
Seeing his family and kin dragged down in what he thought was a very shallow swamp, Evan is dumfounded.
'This isn't my dream.' Evan says in his dream. 'There is something else at work here. This is MY world. My sanctuary.'
Summoning his anger, not at his family and kin being taken by the tentacles, but at the fact that his rest, his meditation, his sanctuary, were all being interrupted, and desecrated, all by some, currently, faceless foe, Evan lets out a calm sigh. 'Whoever, or whatever you are, this is MY world. My mind. You cannot hide from me here. SHOW YOURSELF!'
Through his anger, his frustration, and his annoyance, Evan blasts the landscape away with an explosion of mana, erasing his dreamscape, and leaving him with....[ooc]this where you come in with a description of what invaded his dream[/ooc]
I know that's where I would come in with a description, this isn't my first quest ya know.
Also you type spoiler= in the first []'s before the ooc. In the second brackets you type /spoiler instead of /ooc.
... a sense of dread as all sense of control escapes him.
He finds himself blinded by a howling blizzard and a frigid cold that was biting into the marrow of his bones despite the protection his fur should have been providing. A howling wind almost bowls him over causing him to take a step back to brace himself.
The soft crunch of snow greets his ears as he fights to maintain his balance. Everything felt so real now, as if Evan were awake in an arctic environment.
Off in the distance was a shadowy rectangular object reaching towards the sky that he could barely see through the flurry of snow...
OOC: I know that, wasnt trying to put it in a spoiler.
'What the hell is going on here? What is with this snow? How did I get here? What happened to my dream? And what the hack is that....'
Looking around him and seeing only a barren snow landscape, Evan tries to calm himself. 'This is only a dream, Evan, only a dream. Nothing can hurt me here, not unless I let it. And that's not going to happen anytime soon.'
Gathering himself the best he could, Evan starts towards the object in the distance, wandering if it was the thing he sought in Teresare, or if it was what invaded his dreamscape...
The man nodded as he responded to Deth saying, "I know of a few legen's from the Ice Age. Rumors speak of a dark god still sealed beneath the soil of Terisiare. You heard oh that one?"
-----
Evan pushes with difficulty through the snow and blizzard towards the distant object. Every step he takes fatigues him further. Soon he found himself panting and ready to fall over.
Something wasn't right.
He knew that in the real world he would be holding up better. He shouldn't be feeling this tired, in a dream of all places to boot.
His next step brought him skidding forward onto thick ice. Here the blizzard's howl was gone giving a sense like the center of a storm where the eye would be. Looking around he saw only bits of powdered snow drifting on wisps of wind drawing his gaze to follow their path.
That's when he saw the legendary artifact he sought standing vigil at the point of an island in the middle of the ice. He had reached the distant object, and it was the artifact he sought...?
Noticing the coming night, Deth wraps his cloak tighter around himself. (OOC: dont mean to god mod. I just assume that its getting dark with Evans going to sleep.) Deth replies with a raised eyebrow."I have not. Would you care to tell it?"
