A portal opens up next to Erin, and Saffi pokes her head through. "You'll have to cut your stay short. We've got some problems over here, and we need every mage we can get." Her normally cheerful face is grim.
There's a stare for a moment before the kitsune looks at the portal. And then at Sharp-ear. It's very quickly evident that she's about to shake her head. 'Problems' be damned, she's closer to family than she's ever been in her life!
Sharp-Ear manages a few words before the portal closes: "When you come back, there'll be a place here for you." Then the portal closes, and whatever else he would have said is lost.
Saffi's expression softens just a touch at Erin's forlorn expression. "I'll send you back straight away once this is done. I like this as little as you do." She pats Erin's shoulder. "The faster we finish this, the faster you can get back there."
