Which, of course, makes her more frustrated. Trying to match him. But her brows are furrowing as she does, which doesn't help. Her fingers aren't helping, either, curling as they are.
Relax, says Sharp-Ear's face. Look closer. Change a small part and you can create something completely different. He demonstrates, turning a simple smile into a variety of different expressions.
Miss mime is trying. While her face is rock-steady at this point, her hands are clenching and unclenching. Trying. Trying to make it work. If she wasn't a mime, this sort of subtle copying would be nearly impossible. He has years of experience. She doesn't. It's almost a miracle that she can actually read his expressions at all.
Erin's face is actually kind of scary to watch. Because as he comments on her doing on piece at a time? Instead of focusing on just trying to mirror the look, she focuses on single muscles. First her eyebrows moving into place. Then her mouth. Different sections of her face moving, looking almost machinelike as she tries to perfect what he's doing right now.
There is a twinkle of amusement in Sharp-Ear's eyes as he watches Erin's face move. When she's successfully assembled the expression, Sharp-Ear holds it for another second before letting it fade.
"Not bad. A little more practice later wouldn't hurt."
The mime looks over at him for a moment before lifting a hand and holding it level to the earth, then simply tilting it left and right. There's a smile. Then a frown. An ecstatic grin. A teary-eyed face. There's gritting of the teeth, then a relaxing look. Then she simply shrugs.
Erin just deadpans at that. Either through sheer luck or practice, her expression clearly gets across, You just asked about an entire plane, what did you expect?
Sharp-Ear seems to notice this, and slows down quite a bit to give Erin a chance.
Something's still missing from Erin's expressions...
Give me a d20.
Frustration is showing through on the mime's features as she works to catch up with him, and to outdo him.
My helpdesk should you need me.
You can keep going, rolling a d20 each time. Adding on anything new will add +1 to the roll permanently.
My helpdesk should you need me.

Take your time.
Slow down.
Take each piece one piece at a time, and slowly put it together. Sharp-Ear holds an expression, watching Erin's face.

"Not bad. A little more practice later wouldn't hurt."
Erin looks at him for a moment before slowly letting it pass. Giving a slight shrug. Yeah. With practice. Years of it.
My helpdesk should you need me.
"Hey, any practice helps."
Erin just nods slightly and flops back on the ground again to rest her face.
My helpdesk should you need me.
Sharp-Ear flops down next to her. "So, you've spent all your time on Dominaria," the small kitsune muses. "How'd you find it there?"
My helpdesk should you need me.
My helpdesk should you need me.
A quick grin. "Nicely done on that last expression, by the way."
My helpdesk should you need me.
