Erin turns to him with a big of a... It's hard to describe that smile. Slightly worried. Slightly relieved. Happy at seeing more kitsune, slightly saddened that she's not actually a part of their village. Happy that she has her shade back. Sad that its only going to be temporarily. She's muddled, and has very little idea of what's coming next.
Sharp-Ear helps Erin up from the log. Kneeling down, he draws two thick parallel lines in the dirt, then puts a dot in between the lines.
His finger jabs at the left edge of the left line, about halfway down. "This is where we are right now." The finger moves to point at the dot. "This is Eiganjo. Our destination, and the capital of Towabara. That's this region." He indicates the area between the lines. "Lady Pearl-Ear's the kitsune representative there."
He pauses, thinking. "Guess they'll have to find a new leader, now that Konda's...unavailable...and the princess is busy being the guardian of the kakuriyo."
"Sharp-Ear!" his sister snaps.
"Right. After we stop off there, we'll be moving back to the village, right here." He indicates a point about halfway down the right line.
The loner kitsune doesn't seem to understand the 'map' that he draws for her. But she does nod, as if she understands, and then looks up at Pearl-Ear as she snaps. Looking confused.
And looking more confused as he finishes up with the map. But she just nods to both of them. Confused, not quite understanding the situation, but eager to go and meet more people.
Pearl-Ear sighs. "You know, Erin, we can tell that you don't understand. Perhaps it'd be slightly easier with an actual map. We'll see if we can acquaint you with the geography of Kamigawa."
"In the meantime, let me try and pare it down a bit. We're going to be moving separate from the rest of the village."
"Sharp-Ear and the princess's former honour guard will accompany me to Eiganjo, after which my brother will be returning to our village. The rest of the village will be moving back to our hometown, which had to be abandoned because of the Kami War."
The mime still looks a bit confused, but she nods to the both of them. Slowly standing, still keeping her hand on the shade's, she gestures to both of them. Definitely ready to follow. Or do whatever she needs to do.
Pearl-Ear turns and gestures the honour guard over. Erin recognizes one of the samurai as Silver-Foot. "Nagao, Silver-Foot, this is Erin. She will be accompanying us to Eiganjo."
One of the human samurai nods, as does Silver-Foot.
I'll admit, I'm having a little trouble deciding what Erin would do in these situations.
Erin nods to Nagao and, for a moment, 'inspects' Silver-Foot as she had every kitsune she had seen so far. Different! All of them! Such a wide variety! The poor girl looks like her head's spinning a little, but she does nod eagerly to Pearl-Ear's statement.
Erin watches Silver-Foot leave, looking rather confused again. Elder? There's an elder? Her attention turns back to Pearl-Ear. Nodding, she starts to follow the other nine to the east. Eyes darting all around, absorbing all she can. There's a gleeful look on her face once more. Like a child with a new toy. During Christmas. There's a pony involved.
Sharp-Ear notices Erin's predicament. Quickly finishing up with his own saddle, he re-ties the horse to the post and moves over to help demonstrate it to her.

Silver-Foot has two white stripes running along the fur at the top of his head. He's also larger and broader than most of the other kitsune.
Silver-Foot's head bobs. "I'll watch over the elder." He hurries off to the mass of kitsune, blending in with it.
Pearl-Ear turns back to Erin. "Come along." She, Sharp-Ear, and the nine remaining warriors begin walking to the east.

She finds a pony. Well, not so much a pony as a horse. Twelve of them, in fact. The samurai and the kitsune begin to untie and saddle them.
