The Shining Sea is a rowdy place, with all kinds of seedy characters lurking around. Sailors laugh and drink and make all kinds of noise, men and women gamble and laugh and fight, and a few token guards stand in corners... with cups in their hands and money in their pockets.
The bartender, a grey-haired woman who looks as though she could clear the room of troublemakers in seconds flat if she so desired, watches the mayhem with a small smile as she serves up more ale.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
"Oh, them," the matronly woman says with disapproval. "They were here. They left last night with a bunch of interestingly-dressed women. Looked like they were going to have some fun. Lousy tippers."
The woman looks around at her bar. "I heard one of them suggest they go to one of the warehouses at the docks. There are a couple of abandoned ones on the south side, so you might want to check there first."

Sigh... i guess it can't be helped, thank you for your help...
Soru slowly left the pub, heading south. It wasn't that long before he could see the warehouses. He started searching around, even though it seemed like nobody was there..
Three warehouses sit in disrepair. Windows broken, wood rotting, nothing but mouldering ruins. Two of them have been boarded up, but the door of the third is shattered and ruined. It would be simple for anyone to slip through.

The first thing Soru notices is that the place is obviously inhabited. Several chairs, a table, bedding, cutlery, and other random objects are situated nearby the doorway.
In the gloom, there doesn't appear to be anyone around.

The sparse sunlight that shines through the broken door falls on something bright red. It stands out noticeably on the dull brown floor.
Further inspection reveals it to be blood. Quite a lot of blood, actually. A closer inspection of the room reveals blood spattered on the walls and on the bed.

The place seems to have been methodically trashed. Almost as though someone were searching for something.
There appears to be more blood nearer to the door, and it gets less messy toward the back of the building. Some of the spatter nearer the bed is smeared, also toward the back of the building.

The darkness is deep, and Soru cannot penetrate it. Which is unfortunate, because from within the darkness, two horrible forms spring out. Spiked chains whip into Soru's body, gouging his flesh painfully.

OOC: Nope. They might be summoned, but that doesn't mean they are being controlled in person. And if they are, whoever is doing it isn't acting directly anyway.
The undead thugs again charge Soru, chains whipping in vicious arcs.

Soru's bluish light illuminates the area just enough to allow him to see properly. Laying on the ground near the exit is a figure. Closer inspection reveals that it is a man, dead, with ragged clothes and beard. He may well be homeless. His throat is slit, but there is no blood on the ground.
Something appears to be in his clenched fist. It glitters purple, though there is not enough light for a proper reflection.

You seem to be the one someone needs to ask to get information. I'm looking for three sailors from the Forever Dawn. Perhaps you know where they are?

Soru searches around a bit more.
OOC: Should i roll another dice, or is there nothing more to be found here?

Soru starts searching heading for the back of the building
Soru walks toward the back of the building, where the sun doesn't reach. It's very dark back there, and Soru can't see anything beyond vague shadows.

2x Spineless Thugs attack Soru for 4 damage.

OOC: Sort of random question, but needed to ask. What will returns effects do on the creatures? Since they are not summoned by someone.

if it's my turn,
Soru draws more mana and sends a mental bolt at one of the thugs
The thug screams in rage as it vanishes into the aether. The remaining thug again whips his chain into Soru's body.

The thug vanishes into the aether, leaving Soru apparently alone in the warehouse.
But the darkness is just as deep as before. For all Soru knows, there could still be horrible creatures lurking within.
