The small fireball burned slowly. As it diminished, it became very hot and turned blue. Its mana was mixing with the mana in the oasis (though the Oasis doesn't tap for mana, so....?). The ball became very concentrated and as it burned away, the mana returned to him as a mix of both the red mana he had used to create the fireball and the mana within the oasis. This new mana will be forever flowing within him.
"Well, if your ready to go back to Estark I would be willing to return, but that wasn't as difficult as I thought this quest would be. I'm willing to keep searching and fighting to find more."
Vorin tried briefly to focus and find more concentrations of mana, but his proximity to the oasis limited his ability to sense other sources of mana, since the oasis is so overpowering.
Scanning the desert in the opposite direction than the one they came from, Vorin began looking for anything other than sand. The moment he stepped out of the oasis he felt a rush of heat.
Vorin began walking as well. He walked significantly to the left of Kassim, in order to expand their combined field of vision. However, he stayed close enough that either could run to the other in an emergency.
The harsh sun beat down on you. The unforgiving desert isn't happy about the intruders, and is not willing to let them pass easily.
OOC2: You each have 10 Stamina points. Each turn, you have to make a d20 Fort check or lose a point. For every failure, your next roll you get a -1 mod. You may take a swig of your canteen to add 10 to your roll...however if it is a failure, you will still take the -1 mod. You have 8 swigs worth in your canteen. Any questions?
With a destination in mind, Vorin began closing in towards Kassim while still walking towards the smoke, which he could still barely make out. The heat was beating down on him, but he still felt somewhat refreshed from the oasis and confident that he could endure the heat for a while longer without wasting his water supply. It was much easier for him to travel confidently knowing that there was a set destination.
OOC: For the record, you don't have to use the swig before you roll. And that second round has a -1 Mod on it. For the record, too, that -1 is cumulative as well (So the next time you fail, it becomes -2, etc.)
The unrelenting sun continued to beat down, without a cloud in sight...
For the record, you don't have to use the swig before you roll.
So we don't have to decide whether or not we drink until after we see the roll? So we can just take a swig to bump up the roll whenever it is less than 10, right?
And that second round has a -1 Mod on it. For the record, too, that -1 is cumulative as well (So the next time you fail, it becomes -2, etc.)
Why does the second round have a -1 mod? Neither of us failed the roll(He got an 18, I got a 19). Or, do we just get a -1 mod every turn?
OOC: MMQ has it. So as it stands, you both have 10 SP, GM2 has 8 swigs, MMQ has (Since I assume you'll want to change your actions in light of my clarification) 7, and a -1 mod.
The sun didn't seem to be influencing Vorin quite yet. He saw Kassim beginning to drink his water and he was still feeling as though it would be best if he saved his water. He kept moving on, he felt confident with his destination in mind and was not about to let any heat get to him.

Seeing the canine, Vorin got a little lower to the ground, subtly gathered some mana and tried to summon a goblin without being noticed.
Vorin continued to walk and darted his eyes over at Kassim, upset that he had drawn their attention. Although the dogs were charging him, he had no choice but to continue walking toward the smoke and hope that he could maintain the connection to his mana and his creatures. As he moved forwards, the dogs began to close in on him. His goblin charged at one one of them, and they tore each other apart. He sped up as the other two goblins near him, causing him to tire and eventually they came up, scratched him up and retreated quickly. They caused little damage, and Vorin was able to keep moving, despite the attack. His main focus was still the destination.

Summoning the mana was causing him some extra exhaustion, especially in this heat. The hounds were certainly an unwelcome presence and he was prepared to deal with them as soon as possible so he could move to the city and be safe from this perilous journey. He was starting to understand what Kassim had meant. He knew in order to make it he would have to suck up the pain that the mana he conjured caused him. Breathing deeply, he gathered more red mana. His hands tensed up with the energy in his body. He froze momentarily, but quickly regained his energy and kept walking, forcing himself to ignore the pain. His instincts told him to keep the mana inside him to blast any hounds that neared him, but he didn't want to risk his safety by letting the mana linger in his body for too long. Instead he summoned two more golbins and ordered them to attack two of the hounds. Relieved that the mana had left his system, he kept walking towards the settlement. He did not even watch his goblins attack the hounds. Thinking for himself was ingrained within Vorin, as an elf.
As he walked, he just barely began to feel the impact of the sun. the walking, fighting, and conjuring mana was certainly getting to him. He wiped the sweat of his head. He decided that with everything going on it would be best to keep his stamina up. He took out his water and quickly took a small sip, being sure to preserve most of it for later. He was worried about getting there safely, which only compelled him to keep moving.
As another one of the jackals approached, Vorin kept moving forward focusing on the destination. The fight was almost over, so this was no time to stop finish the job. The jackal approached him slightly more quickly seeing that it could fly through the air. Given the whole situation, an attack from one jackal did not really bother him much, although he was still not sure on why Kassim kept giving them wings. Nevertheless, Vorin trusted him, so he let the battle continue.
As he moved, he chose not to gather more mana as he was under enough physical duress as is, and he had enough mana to finish this skirmish. He let the mana within him already fully recover. As it burned through his body, he for the final jackals to come closer so he could strike them down.

Without gathering mana, he did not become any more uncomfortable in the heat, but with the mana still inside him, he couldn't become cooler either. The harsh sun beat down on him consistently, so he took another swig of water so he could make it to the settlement with his energy in tact.
OOC: Sorry If I wasn't clear. I was tapped out when they attack me so I took one damage. Now that that is passed, I untapped and passed the turn without doing anything. Now Manmanquail will take a turn, then they will attack again (I assume). Then, if I was attacked, I will kill them. Vorin is focusing primarily on moving through the desert so he will only turn around to blast another jackal if it comes close to him.

2.) No, it does not reflect life. However it will reflect fatigue, so I expect your RP'ing to reflect that.
3.) Well if I told you that, it wouldn't be fun. And yes. Start rolling.
