OOC: In character I have it so that Gear legitimately wants to see the end of this battle out. So I suspect untill sylver does something and really i would take anything right now i'm just kinda standing there frozen in time which is unfortunate. But if time passes to much i will have gear do something but no clue what yet.
Gear continues to watch the unfolding battle mainly as they currently stand between him and his laboratory.

Gear is surprised that they are not struck from the skies as they land, a good hundred yards from the battle. The battle still rages between the two combatants.
OOC: OK as it seems that they won't ever resolve this and my patience is dwindling.
Gear has grown bored of the combat and looks to get his bearings outside of this battle. He looks for the statue he felled earlier as that was indicative of the labs entrance.

The battle continues to rage behind Gear while he and Danin continue their search around the area. There is heavy scorching on the ground, and the remains of some of the titans Gear fought before, severely damaged and strewn for dozens of yards around. The scattering of the debris seems to radiate out from where the angel and the paladin are fighting.
Gear: These remains are from what I killed in defense here earlier. There should be a destroyed statue somewhere around here. Once we find that we will find the labs entrance by the obelisk near the statues.

Danin starts to search around the area. They quickly come across another wrecked statue. "Is this it?"
It doesn't look like the one Gear saw before. It's the same kind of statue, but the damage is inconsistent. This one looks like it was struck with a sword.
I'm familiar with what should be occurring here. I'll take over and post as I can manage until I find out Red's status.
Indeed, Gear's conjecture stood true as he oriented himself in the proper direction. The scene was different from last time though...
In the center was the wreckage of a dozen titans Gear had managed to defeat before. Far more than what he had felled...
Scattered about were metallic dust fragments and the occasional spider limb. About five visible tubes were crushed. The ruins now had the appearance of a recent fight, most likely caused by that angel and the other...
Well then now this is getting odd but still lets get to the lab and then we can worry about other things, thinks Gear.
Gear: That obelisk there in the middle that is the key we are looking for to enter the lab. But given all of this destruction i hope that this lab still exists. *cursing* I knew I shouldn't have left that lab to get help....

Gear notices Danin lower his head upset about Gear's comment. The man continued by Gear's side with a somewhat slow and irregular step saying, "You couldn't have known the ruins would be found..."
Gear: Danin do not take my comment personally I'm making more of an objective comment of things. It was against my better judgement before hand but i'm also not as dense to not realize that such an endeavor can be accomplished alone.
While speaking Gear looks closely at the obelisk looking to see if it has been changed in any way.

Danin remains off to the side with a downcast face, content with examining the base of the obelisk.
Gear's examination of the obelisk revealed that all of the lattice work were still in the same solved position from before. However, this time Gear could sense a high amount of mana activity flowing through the obelisk. All of this mana was pulsing quickly into the base of the lab. It appears that something down there is using up large quantities of the lab's reserves of mana...
Gear hears Danin call out, "Hey! There's a paw imprinted in stone over here!"
Coming over to examine Gear finds himself recognizing the mechanism from his last visit. The door to the elevator was closed though. Possibly someone had taken it down already? He should be able to call it back though...
Gear feels the familiar connection form as his nervous system seems to meld with the lab's. He can feel the flows of mana from several mana batteries flowing from this location and others around. Down at the base of the shaft he can feel the elevator waiting idly ready for his summons...
Gear has to redirect several times from different energy sources. The lab seemed to be prioritizing energy flow over his commands. Finally after a minute of searching Gear is able to find a source that could trickle the necessary amount of mana into operating the lift. A faint clink clink sound could be heard as the lift climbed to the top.
Another minute of waiting and the clinking sound stopped to the opening of the obelisk door revealing...
Gear steps forward and makes his way towards the next paw print waiting on Danin before going to activate it.
Gear: Danin because you can't feel it directly I figured you might want to know I'm feeling that the mana system used to power this elevator is significantly being diverted somehow from something down below. Now I have no clue what that might mean but I figured its best for me to share what exactly i'm sensing right now.

Danin nodded understanding the potential threat or surprise that may await them down below. Stepping on to the lift and moving to Gear's side Danin said, "I'm not sure what surprise to expect down there. Angels fighting up here, me talking to a talking cat, strange artifice that I've never seen before... It can't be too bad... Right?"
Danin thought about that for a moment before sighing, "Then again it's never a good sign when dormant artifice start drawing upon massive amounts of mana... I guess it will be best to be prepared for the worst then..."
Danin looked down at Gear and nodded his go ahead as he tightened his grip on his pack.
"Here goes nothing..."
Gear could see sweat beads starting to form on the brow of Danin as he waited in suspense for Gear to activate the mechanism that would take them down below.
Gear activates the paw pad sending the elevator down.
Gear: For both of our sakes I really hope this doesn't get any more complicated than it already is. But as I know things never quite pool out the way you want them to.

There is a silent hum as the lift takes them down to the laboratory. As the doors part, Gear is once again shown a familiar yet slightly different sight. The lab was pitched in the familiar darkness as it was before he had activated the power, which is surprising since he felt a large quantity being drawn upon somewhere down here.
The shadows of the lab contained a few differences from the first time though. Now Gear could hear the steady foot fall of what was likely one humanoid construct moving about the lab accompanied by the faint sound of items being lifted and then placed into some container. These noises were coming from Gear's back left shoulder near that corner of the triangular lab.
Directly in front to Gear's left at the end of the wall containing the portals, one of which Gear had momentarily been able to activate, was a flashing silvery light. Each flash was erratic and of a different size, though from the lift Gear could guess that the flashes were partial formations of a portal trying to expand out into the full circle.
At Gear's side came the whisper from Dannin, "What is that...?"
Gear: That Dannin is the planar portal attempting to establish a full size. Or at least thats what I suspect it is. But what concerns me more is that noise. I didn't see anything moving down here before hand. Whatever is down here could be problematic.
Gear begins to piece together some of his fireflies. Upon finishing them he sends the mass twoards the corner to hopefully light up what might be there. In the mean time Gear steps off the lift looking to make his way back to the energy activation panel that lit the room up before hand.

Gear easily finds his way to the switch and brings full lighting to the lab. Gear found himself directly by the portal as the lights revealed a lab that looked to be missing artifice from his previous visit. The reason became clear as he saw a golem made of etherium moving methodically throughout the lab gathering artifice to a central cart of some sort, completely ignoring Gear and Dannin.
Just as Gear was about to move away a powerful purple flash accompanied the silver ones from the portal. Looking back at the portal Gear saw that it had momentarily stabilized revealing a sprawling sea of undead shuffling towards the portal. The connection severed within a mere second before again flashing with purple and silver light into a stable connection. This time Gear could see a rather tall humanoid demon pushing through the undead horde. This demon snapped flame whips at the undead around him clearing a path and driving them towards the portal. Again the portal destabilized. And once again a purple and silvery flash caused another stable portal to solidify. This one did not go out but appeared slightly translucent and flickering, not quite stable but close to it...
A fourth flash stabilized the portal into perfect clarity. This time the scene had changed from a horde of undead to a simple young girl standing atop a ziggurat in a combat stance. Out of the portal came a rather large reptilian humanoid covered in etherium. The creature's body came skidding to a halt in front of Gear.

As Aggron's vision returned, his sight was filled with spots of white and... a cat?
Aggron shook his head, trying to clear it. That...that was rough. Note to self, do not trust demon-made portals. He's surprised by the cat--it's much smaller than the leonin he's seen a few times, and it looks more like an animal than something sentient. But he disregards it and looks around.
He's in a lab.
An Esper lab.
Every muscle in his body tenses. The pendant on his chest flares, and his mind fills with rage and bloodlust. The memories resurface as though they happened five minutes ago. He remembers the pain this place caused him, and he's been nursing his desire for revenge for more than a year now.
Aggron looks around, battle-ready, searching for scientist-mages to kill.

Gear: Here let me give you a hand with that.
Shifting forms seamlessly gear assumes his larger form and places his metal paw upon the pad attempting to activate it.
Gear: Danin I'd be ready for anything. I'm calling the elevator up.
Another minute of waiting and the clinking sound stopped to the opening of the obelisk door revealing...
Nothing.
Just an empty lift with another paw pad...
Gear steps forward and makes his way towards the next paw print waiting on Danin before going to activate it.
