Aramil focused his consciousness into a sharp point, like the needles Circu uses to lobotomize a man with. This was a high risk, high reward move. If Aramil punctured Jacob's mind, he would have a great deal of success. If he failed, however, he would no doubt alert Jacob to his attempt, but then again, that wouldn't exactly be a failure when you're trying to get noticed by a secret organization.
Aramil's probe seemed to finally hit that oil, catching a thought that was stretching as Aramil pushed forward. Then to his horror, the needle probe snapped as the oil seemed to solidify into a solid spherical lock.
Below him Aramil heard the scrape of a chair being pushed back followed by hurried steps. Then came the chain reaction of mana artifact powering up. First one, then two, followed by three more. All of that mana was being concentrated into something in the center of the house...
Aramil decided it was time not to be on the building he was on, and he desperately tried to get back to the roof he left to get on the house in the first place.
Scrabbling up top provided Aramil a chance to get into a unique viewpoint to sense with his own mana that the mana was being channeled into an artifact that was forming a pentagram...
What I would give to see what is going on in there.
Then, Aramil had an idea. With one last desperate attempt, he threw his consciousness out, trying to aimlessly target the occipital lobe to "see" from the viewpoint of the mind he had been targeting.
Jacob's mental discipline was in full force from Aramil's previous probe. Aramil did pick up an image of a frozen man enclosed in ice, perhaps Jacob's focus. Then something felt very different, a sense of warping and distortion. Then with an audible snapping noise, the mana and artifact went dead.
As Aramil was pondering this sudden change he became very aware of a change inside the building. Now there were two minds inside along with raised voices...
Knowing he was very unlikely to achieve any form of luck, Aramil tried to focus his energies on the new mind and see if he could discern anything about the person.
The other mind felt calculating and machine-like as Aramil heard a muffled shout from inside as his probe was repelled yell, "He's here!? Damn you!"
Aramil sensed Jacob's presence vanishing from this plane, likely killed by the other man inside. That was soon followed by the new arrival drawing upon a single island source of mana, that soon exploded into a series of summons.
The new arrival burst out the front door looking around for Aramil. The first thing Aramil saw were the dread locks, fresh from his memory. The next thing he saw was the man's strange metal arm, radiating with mana at the shoulder. Then he saw the artifacts and two vedalkin at his side covered in the same metal as this human's arm.
He was looking at his target, Tezzeret. Just when Aramil thought things couldn't get any worse, he felt the artifact activate inside again. What Aramil really hadn't counted on though, was that things could always get worse. For instance, Tezzeret was scanning the rooftops for Aramil when a strong gust of wind decided that now was the perfect time to blow through.
Tezzeret's eyes locked onto Aramil's boots atop the rooftop, revealed now that the wind had blown his cloak up. Tezzeret grinned saying, "Found you!"
With that Tezzeret was bounding up the side of the building with the aide of his summons to push him along...
The artifact dies out as a new mind joins Aramil and Tezzeret from down below. This one is familiar to Aramil from all of his previous run ins with the man. Jace had arrived.
"Get up here, Beleren!" shouted Tezzeret eying Aramil.
Then with a lazy gesture, Tezzeret summoned forth a strange creature Aramil had never seen before saying, "Let's see if you're still using the same tricks from that Festival..."
Tezzeret grins sadistically at Aramil as he summons two more miniature obelisks with the mana from his ring artifact saying, "Have you lost your will for battle? I'm having difficulty believing you bested Beleren if all you do is stand around!"
Jace will not be up to the roof for another turn. Assuming no responses, the two Etherium Sculptors will attack Aramil. If the attack clears hitting Aramil for 6 it will then be his turn.
Aramil gathered his mana as a dark purple bolt danced down his arm. Then, in an instant, a dark cloud spread across the area, enveloping everything in a sheet of darkness.
Aramil drew more mana to his form but the majority of his focus was upon Tezzeret, and quickly scanning the man's mind for memories while trying to dig deeper into his psyche.

Aramil saw flashes of a dozen different planes, each connected to the Infinite Consortium. He saw the Blind Eternities through Tezzeret's eyes. He saw the infinite possibilities awaiting one with the ability to walk between planes. He even saw one of Tezzeret's fears, a great elder dragon, an ancient walker known in Dominaria's history by the name of Nicol Bolas. Aramil even saw how Tezzeret had usurped the Consortium from Bolas' grasp before being knocked out of the current stream of memories.
A new presence was in Tezzeret's mind trying to track down Aramil causing ripples to distort the memories Aramil was peeking into. Then at the same time Aramil felt a powerful assault on his own mind. Jace was rifling through all of Aramil's memories, his recent experiences, his past, and most importantly to the Consortium, the Dimir.
Even while Jace buried himself into Aramil's memories, Aramil was able to maintain his grip on Tezzeret.
While this happened Tezzeret recovered slightly and pushed on with his magic. Glaring at Aramil saying, "He's too dangerous! Kill him!"
Aramil was now facing down four creatures, two of which were heavily empowered by the artifacts around them...
This is only the declare attackers phase. Feel free to cast spells and trying to access key memories from Tezzeret. Anything above a 6 on your result will allow access to a memory.
Aramil again covered the area around him in darkness and tried to continue to glean as much information from Tezzeret. At the same time, Aramil tried to take Jace's claws out of his own mind.
"Not this time!" shouted Tezzeret as he cast a new type of counterspell. Aramil was receiving a jumbled collection of memories, physical places, faces, planes, all of them ties to the Infinite Consortium. Aramil had time to wonder how Tezzeret was able to travel to all of these planes as the creatures continued their charge. Everything felt like it was slowing down now that his adrenaline was pumping in anticipation of the blow.
What's this?! came Jace's thoughts as another voice roared up from within Aramil, Foreigner! You do not belong inside this tempest!
"Take care of him." Aramil sent to his elemental. Then, upon suffering from the counter Tezzeret used, he called upon the latent power of his elemental and drew again upon the sunken graves beneath Duskmantle to cover the area in darkness.
Then, using all of his strength, Aramil tried to bore deeper into Tezzeret's mind.
"Again with the same spell!" screamed Tezzeret as he lashed out once again with the counterspell. Aramil's push into Tezzeret's memories slipped as Jace's defenses held.
Inside Aramil, the Elemental drew Jace into a mental landscape distracting the other mind mage long enough to give Aramil a reprieve. Even one that is looking to be short lived with the Vedalken charging at him.
Below him Aramil heard the scrape of a chair being pushed back followed by hurried steps. Then came the chain reaction of mana artifact powering up. First one, then two, followed by three more. All of that mana was being concentrated into something in the center of the house...
