Jith was only one building away when he stopped, staring a whole in the building. A quick delve into his mind and Aramil 'heard', There's no light coming from inside...
Picked up Aramil from the mouth of the street as he heard the sounds of muffled resistance from inside. The front door was left slightly ajar, enough for Aramil to take off the package and slide inside under the cloak with the package between his legs. No one else was in the vicinity of the building on this side of the street as Jeremy sent,
Sliding into the building through the open door and then opening the package reveals a very strange contraption that could only belong to the Izzet. Inside the leather pack was a collection of metal wires, connecting red crystals that hummed with mana reserves to a spherical glass object. Inside the glass sphere was a green and grayish brain with a red gem imbedded in the center of the mass. That brain likely belonged to an Izzet goblin 'volunteer'. On top of the glass sphere was a circular metal plate connecting the sphere to the mess of wires. The only thing that looked like it could trigger the artifact was a lever on the metal plate.
Faintly Aramil could hear Jeremy's sending, Package is out, on our way home, remember to be seen leaving the building.
Aramil pressed the lever down and made a hasty retreat. Before the bomb had a chance to explode, Aramil drew his hood back to reveal his form to the world.
Aramil was only able to get five steps out of the building before there was a small clap noise from inside. Looking back at the building he saw only a small billow of black smoke coming out.
Just as he was wondering if the contraption had failed, a loud whirring sound and blue light began to come from the inside of the building. Aramil got the sense that that was probably a sign to high-tail it.
Several people near the mouth of the street began to look at the glowing building with confused looks...
Aramil caught sight of one hooded figure by the fruit stand looking at something scrawled on the wood. The hooded man's gaze slowly turned from the mark to Aramil to the glowing base and then back to Aramil, eyes wide in surprise. Their eyes locked for the briefest of moments as the world went eerily silent. A single flutter of a heartbeat followed by a thunderous explosion and force knocking everyone within a three block radius down on the ground.
There was time for the now hood-less man to blink before a howling wind sucked everything towards the center of the blast. After rolling several feet due to the pulling force, Aramil was finally able to get a grip.
When the wind died down, the black haired man with hood down stared at Aramil in disbelief before screaming, "You!"
The man's eyes immediately darted to the sword and then back to Aramil. Aramil could sense the man's surface thoughts scream, Damn it! I was only supposed to observe him if I found him. Need back up, gotta run!
With that the man turned tail and ran for the other side of the market screaming, "Jacob! Heeeelp!"
The black haired man, Bren, continued running through the market screaming for Jacob. Aramil's height and telepath advantage allowed him to keep easy track of Bren who had come to a stop just ahead at the turn of another street. Aramil was still two rooftop buildings away from physically seeing Bren, but he did pick up a sense of relief and the word Jacob sighed in Bren's head...
Aramil began to slow down a bit as he neared Bren's location, and he used his cloak to conceal himself again as he approached the edge of the roof to view him and Jacob.
"Quiet you fool!" replied Jacob with a glare as Bren approached. "Why are you shouting."
"Our target! He blew up the cell we report to. Quickly activate that artifact, we have to let them know what's going!" cried Bren still scared from his encounter with Aramil.
Jacob tensed up as he pushed past Bren looking down the street he had come from. Jacob looked back at Bren saying, "You're a fool! If you were being chased then where is he now and why would you come running to our cell?"
"I needed to let the Consortium know!"
"You were just saving your own ass! I'm not activating that device. We only have one and we were told to only use it under the most dire of circumstances. No, instead we're going dark. Begone from here and go into our pre-arranged hiding spots. I'll contact you when I receive word from above on how to handle your mistake!" hissed Jacob.
"It wasn-" Jacob's blade was at Bren's throat as Jacob growled, "Run, now!"
With that the two split up, Jacob heading down a north street and Bren down an east street looking over his shoulder at shadows...
Aramil tapped into his connection with Bren and sent him a rather cryptic, "You have served your purpose. DIE." Then, Aramil focused his mental energies on shattering the poor man's mind with a sudden, excruciating migraine while he tore after Jacob.
Aramil wasn't able to stick around to see if the man did die, but after what he did to Bren, it would take another mind mage of Aramil's skill to repair the damage. That's assuming if Bren could still remember how to breath...
Jacob for his part remained calm as he picked his way through several markets. He stopped at only three vendors picking up fruit as he went along. Then finally he turned down a street and stopped at a single story house. A final glance around to make sure he wasn't being followed and then a step into the house, the door closing solidly behind him.
Aramil remained perched on the outside of the house, and he tried to send his consciousness out into the house Jacob just went into, trying to get a read on the man's thoughts.
Aramil found one sentient being inside, the thoughts were slippery like oil in water. He couldn't quite get a grasp on the man's consciousness from this distance for some reason.
Fearing the man may try and move on through some trap door, Aramil leaped onto the house Jacob went into, trying to make as little noise as possible. Having gotten closer, Aramil closed his eyes and focused on the man's mind, trying to work through whatever protections may be present on his mind.
Every probe felt like Aramil was trying to scoop water out of a well with his hands only to see the water drip through them back into the well. Someone had trained this man well, that or he had an unknown artifact on his person.
Jith was only one building away when he stopped, staring a whole in the building. A quick delve into his mind and Aramil 'heard', There's no light coming from inside...
Cautiously, Aramil approached the man and got in position in case he tried to flee.
Convenient timing or coincidence...? came the thought from the man. Aramil could tell he was getting spooked and paranoid.
Jith moves on to the front of the door reaching for the handle...
Aramil cautiously awaited Jith's next move.

He said as he drew his staff sword from his belt, "... have ****ed with the wrong man."
With that the man turned tail and ran for the other side of the market screaming, "Jacob! Heeeelp!"
Once there, Aramil followed the man the best he could, using his frantic thoughts as a beacon to keep track of the scared man.
"Quiet you fool!" replied Jacob with a glare as Bren approached. "Why are you shouting."
