Faust curses at his own stupidity. Acting quickly, he grabs the piece of parchment then calls one of his specters to carry him in the air after the bandit. He commands the other to follow, determined to take down this thief.
Faust winces at the mess he made. He never wanted his creature to kill the man, just to maim him. Dismounting from his specter, he searches the man's corpse for stolen goods, desperately trying to ignore the stench of flesh.
Both specters simply sat atop their mounts, oblivious to the mess they created. Their spell of summoning only conveyed simple meanings to them. As such when their master had commanded for them to 'get that man' they did the one thing they were good for: killing.
Faust's search yielded a silver mask, the man's sword, and several bundles of gold coins coming to a total of 10 gold coins.
Faust looks up at the sky. It doesn't look as if he'll have time to travel to Dars today. It's probably best if he stops by Ravnica for the night.
He dismisses one specter, mounting behind the other one and commands it to travel back to the location they came from. Perhaps the madmen's satchel is still there. Once there he searches around for it, then flies along the road to Ravnica, looking for an inn to spend the night.
Tired from the day's events, Faust finds himself starting to sleep on his mount' back. Luckily he manages to spot the inn through half closed eyes. Directing his mount to land, he dismisses it once on ground, not wanting to panic the residents. He steps through the door and looks around for the innkeeper.
It was late and the main room where travelers would dine was empty. A bleary eyed man with a wash cloth in hand greeted Faust, "Hello there lad. Here for a room I take it?"
The innkeeper's eyes flashed to Faust's satchel, the second satchel, the cross, and the sword. Faust could almost see the words forming in the innkeeper's mind, Please be here for a room and not my life.
Faust makes sure to keep his hand well away from the weapons. Holding them out in a non-threatening gesture he tries to smile at the man, failing badly given his weariness, making him seem more crazy than peaceful. Great, he's probably more afraid of me now.
Speaking out loud he says Yes, I'm just here for a room for the night. Nothing more. You don't have anything to worry about. I'm not gona harm you.
He grimaces as he hears what he sounds like. Nice going there pal.
Night passes uneventfully allowing Faust a peaceful night's rest. When he awakes in the dawn he finds himself refreshed and ready for any encounters.
Ok, time to return to our normally scheduled thread. Locking this thread. I award Faust 2 experience for roleplaying and taking down Falin and the bandit. Remember to keep the silver mask to claim the bounty on the bandit. Faust also has the 10 gold from the bandit and Falin's satchel (the spells inside are now useless since the owner did not unbind them from his soul). Faust is also refreshed on his spells.
