"Peace, please!" Wynn says, a bit louder than normal.
"We sent one of our number to investigate the extent of this damage. If there are two, that means there must be someone who wishes to aid you...and us. We truly mean no harm, we want you to underst-hey! get that thing away from me!" Wynn swats down another sword that had been pressing up agaist her body.
"As I said, we want you to understand that our only motives are to benefit you and the others of this plane. When you come to your senses, we will be more than happy to provide that. Until the morning, I bid you farewell."
Wynn then backs ever-so-slowly out the gate, making sure she keeps all the kith in front of her, not letting a single one leave her sight until she's out of harm's way.

When Wynn pushes the sword away, the Kithkin looks furious, and makes to shove it in her, but Gaddock glares at this soldier. He stops, a few inches from Wynn. The soldier hadn't turned around.
Aramil can see Deraxas on the ground, with another elf he's never met before lying next to her. The latter is seriously wounded.
"You~ they're threatening to shoot me?!" Deraxas scowls and gestures at the kithkin.
"Tayel~ she needs healing, I could only help a little, and some other elves almost captured us or worse... she's from Shadowmoor, and appeared in Lys Alana..."
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

This is Deraxas we're talking about.
Remember, the girl that just killed an aspect of herself before literally consuming her?
Yeah, I don't see her handling a pissing match in any way other than a duel.

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.
Xen takes a few steps away from the kithkin and then turns around looking into their eyes. Smiling gently, he bows deeply in respect simply saying, "Thank you for your hospitality. I give you my apologies for appearing before you unannounced. Until our paths next cross then."
With that Xen raised from his deep bow taking a quick note of their reaction before turning away. Finishing his turn Xen finally notices the injured elf at Deraxas side. Moving calmly towards this newcomer Xen gathers his mana preparing his healing spell....
As soon as all four of them are out of the gate, they slam it shut. The bows are un-nocked, and put away. Brigid comes over to where Xen is healing Tayal. She holds her head in her hand.
"These are the friends you were referring to?" Tayal asks Deraxas. She looks at the others with a kind of curiosity.
"One's not here....he's the weirdest looking of the group, like a giant lizard..." Deraxas points at each in turn, introducing them in her own fashion.
" All of these people are a race called 'human'; we don't have them here in Lorwyn, I don't know about your world...
Aramil's the one with the blue eyes and the piercing look.
Xen is the one who looks to be a healer, and he's a forest-mage, a nice one.
Wynn is the girl whose jacket I borrowed; she's a lawmage of the Azorius.
Krensae- the big lizard- isn't here.... I hope he's not stuck in there."
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

Xen smiles kindly to Tayal saying, "Xen Anastan, a pleasure to meet you. Now this may be a shock to your system as this spell is quite powerful..."
With that Xen channeled his mana into his spell focusing the energy into Tayal. From beneath her a minuscule pillar of white light expanded outward encompassing her whole body. Though the pillar was bright it's presence was momentary, but a flash of light...

The bright white light illuminates the immediate area for a brief flash. Tayal lets out a gasp of shock, and arches her back as the healing magic surges through her. She falls back, wincing. She peeks at the wound once again; it looks much better, nearly completely closed. There's a small red mark where it had been. It's unclear whether or not it will leave a scar.
"Xen, can you... make sure that she won't scar from it? It's important." Deraxas asks quietly. "I don't want her tossed out or killed by her people because some jerks decided she was in the wrong place at the wrong time."

Again Xen bows his head closing his eyes. Once more the power of the plains flow through him as his aura shines a hue of white and green. Behind him his mirage grows enough to gain notice to Tayal, Within the mirage she can see what appears to be a meadow, plain's grass and a scattering of trees, trees quite different from the ones of Lorwyn and Shadowmoor.
Into this mirage Xen reaches with his left hand, while with his right rests on the red mark. As he opens his eyes, Xen becomes a conduit for the mana and the spell surging into Tayal. Again a pillar of white light flashes outward.
As the light fades Xen removes his hand to see the result of his healing...

Again Xen smiles as he releases his mana. Looking up to Deraxas he says, "Follow that desire and one day your path will take you to a point where you will learn that spell."
Xen tilts his head slightly as if in thought saying, "Though you may find the mana of the plains elusive considering your original predisposition..."
Xen cracks a smile breaking his pensive thought as he said, "That wont be a problem if you really wish to learn of the plains. Could be a problem if you are only looking to use the mana as a tool. Such methods can make mana manipulation difficult."

"Ah but you should never forget your roots. Do not scorn your origin. Embrace it and grow. Remembering and living the power of the swamps will be but your first step to understanding the essence and nature of the plains." Xen stood still smiling as he finished saying, "Always remember and grow; never forget and falter."
Brigid suddenly lets out a laugh, causing Tayal to turn and look at her. There's a bright smile on Brigid's face as she runs her hand through her hair.
"We sent one of our number to investigate the extent of this damage. If there are two, that means there must be someone who wishes to aid you...and us. "No, the Wander... nevermind."
"And no, Deraxas, I haven't heard of humans before. Nice to meet you all. I'm Tayal of Cayr Ulios."
With that Xen channeled his mana into his spell focusing the energy into Tayal. From beneath her a minuscule pillar of white light expanded outward encompassing her whole body. Though the pillar was bright it's presence was momentary, but a flash of light...
Deraxas watches Xen intently...
What power is this? I didn't know...never seen this before... it's life, isn't it? Different from nature, yet....
