Xiras sees the giant tusked beast approach, the ground rumbling with its footsteps. He his blaze with focus, to get rid of such a beast even temporarily will take concentration.
He whispers, a wisp of mana enters each fan and he waves them producing a massive blast of air, forcing it back.
OOC: Boomerang the Greater Gargadon.
Drikel's life total needs to change for the snapping drake and specter hitting him.
"Why would I be afraid of something I can keep at bay the easily?"
Xiras raises his fans again, drawing another obelisk up from the soil.
Faust is probably tiring by now, I'll restore his mental energy
He sends a three wisp pulse directly into the centre of Faust's forehead, his eyes flash with blue mana.
"Perhaps it is you that should be afraid of my creatures"
Xiras sends wisps into the first obelisk, it rumbles, the sides move out to make arms, the base splits to make legs, forming a large humanoid creature. The drake perched atop the obelisk takes to the air, startled my the change in the obelisk.
Xiras signals and both charge at Drikel.

Faust was glad that the beast disappeared as soon as it came. He wasn't sure whether they were able to handle such a gargantuan creature. Still, he knew it was going to come back next turn. Better make the most of what time they had left.
He focuses on the spells he had left, taking a second to realise that he found he was recalling spells that he had already used. He sees Xiras's eyes flashing and guesses that the moonfolk is the one causing this sudden burst of renewed inspiration. Blue mages were widely known for mind tricks after all. Faust hopes he has some more of that spell handy to use for himself, in case they aren't able to kill the Keldon before his beast comes again. Lets finish this dance.
He gathers all his energy, tendrils of black mana swirling around him in a hurricane of force, then commands all his creatures to attack, slowly feeding his shade the energy from his hurricane of power.

Faust watches in silence as his creatures tear Dirkel apart. He forces himself to look at the carnage, even though a part of him wants to turn around and look away. No matter how many times he sees death and suffering, it seems like he can never fully stand by and not waver. But he was getting better at hiding it.
Xiras watches the carnage, satisfied that the Keldon that stole Athy's satchel and much more was perishing before his eyes. Now to be finished with this
He casts his eyes around hunting for Neld.

Smile your day could be worse, so I did smile and it was worse.
As Dirkel's limp body falls to the floor all eyes start to search for Neld. No one can find him and even Athy and Kira are a little unnerved at his disappearing act.
Probably should've expected this. The sisters did warn us he was a bit of a coward, hiding behind magic users.
Faust helps his friends search for Neld, his eyes darting to and fro from under his hood.
Over there!
Faust alerts the others to Neld's fleeting form then quickly rushes over to pursue him. As he does so his creatures turn to vapour, dissolving back into the mana that conjured it.
Athy and Kira release their spells and follow the duo to the trap door. As Xiras inspects it he finds that the trap door is not a trapped door.
Well is it trapped?
Although annoyed at the thought of inspecting the door, because of the time they will lose to catch Neld, Faust grew to acknowledge that the blue mage probably had the right idea. If the door had been trapped and he had just ran straight into it, it would've consumed way more of their time. Not to mention the possibility of it being a trap that could harm or kill him. He made a mental note to be more cautious next time, and not rush blindly into things. Besides, Neld was probably used to the life of luxury, and not fit enough to outrun them, mages who battle with creatures daily.
He fell behind Xiras and continued to chase Neld.
The sisters follow suite and go down the rabbit hole. Xiras can see Neld just ahead of him and tries his best to catch the man. Neld looks back for a moment.
You'll never catch me!
He roars.
OOC: d20 rolls vs mine. If Neld gets a higher result he gets farther away, and if Xiras gets higher he closes the gap. Three straight successes are needed for him to escape or to be captured.
Faust keeps at a steady pace behind Xiras, mentally urging the moonfolk to hurry onward. Surprisingly, whether through sheer willpower at not being caught or because he is more fit than he looks, Neld is turning the chase into quite a challenge. Just when he thought they were on him, he gave an extra burst of speed and manages to extend his lead. Can't give up. Gotta keep going.
His legs and arms starts to tire, and he starts gulping in mouthfuls of air instead of breathing it smoothly in. Unfortunately the stale air in the rabbit hole does not provide much oxygen. Can't give up. Nearly there.
He sets his sight on his friend's back and keeps on running.
Faust stumbles onwards, unaware of his surroundings until he bumps into Xiras, and finally realises that the blue mage had caught up to Neld. He leans against the tunnel wall, panting and trying to regain his breath, keeping a watchful eye on their quarry all the while. Got you at last.

Today is a good day to die.
He says to himself as he closes his eyes and readies his body for the first hit of what should be a fatal strike.
Athy and Kira watch on as Dirkel's blood is spilled.
Now to be finished with this
He casts his eyes around hunting for Neld.
Where did he slip off to..?
OOC: Need d20 rolls to find him.
Athy:
Kira:
Xiras casts his eyes around some more, yet to find anything sign of Neld
OOC: Well Faust I hope your die rolling trend doesn't continue, clearly I was no help here.
Faust helps his friends search for Neld, his eyes darting to and fro from under his hood.
OOC: and the curse is broken!
Faust alerts the others to Neld's fleeting form then quickly rushes over to pursue him. As he does so his creatures turn to vapour, dissolving back into the mana that conjured it.
We can't let him escape less we have to track him again
As he nears the trapdoor, he realises it may indeed be a trapped door.
"Hold up, it could be a trapped door, Neld has used all sorts of other dirty tactics"
Xiras arrives a few steps ahead of Faust, due to his slightly taller stature and longer stride, he bends down to examine the door quickly.
Well is it trapped?
He pulls open the trapdoor to continue on after Neld
He fell behind Xiras and continued to chase Neld.
You'll never catch me!
He roars.
OOC: d20 rolls vs mine. If Neld gets a higher result he gets farther away, and if Xiras gets higher he closes the gap. Three straight successes are needed for him to escape or to be captured.
"You cannot escape Neld"
Xiras gains a little ground on Neld, edging closer to his prey.
"I'm gaining on you, you'll have to do better than that."
Xiras puts in a little more effort, pressing off the ground harder with each step, propelling himself forward.
What's wrong? Can't keep up with an old man?
Neld calls as he slips around a corner, gaining ground.
"But you are still an old man and I'll catch you yet!
Xiras puts in a little more effort.
Neld tries to pick up the pace.
OOC: Assuming a draw nothing happens, and the count isnt reset.
He just misses but doesn't appear to have loss any ground, he makes a second attempt at lunges at Neld
But Xiras catches up to him anyways.
Got you at last.
