Everything is now ready. Once the two of you have eaten you fill one of my thrulls will lead you out of the manor and to your coach and off to the farm. The farmer who has remained is named Lin. He will expecting you.
Faust finishes the food left on his plate, resisting the urge to lick it clean. He drinks from his goblet once more then wipes his mouth with the napkin he was given. He patiently waits for his companion to finish his meal.
Athy said. She clapped her hands and out from the shadows came one of the thrulls.
They are ready please lead them to the coach.
The thrull nods to her, and then to Xiras and Faust. It leads the pair through the manor and out to the carriage. Once the Mages are in, it climbs into the driver's chair. It makes a chirping sound that gets the horses going and sends them on down the road to the farm.
Faust tries his best to enjoy the ride but the occasional bumps on the road seemed to make it their goal to make him as uncomfortable as possible. Still, it beats transport by bat.
Xiras watches out the window while the ride along the bumpy road jumps and joints him. After sometime he turns towards Faust
"Potentially it could take days before the next attack, hopefully it occurs swiftly so we can get our fee but the possibility of being here some time does exist, so we must be prepared. To maintain a constant guard we'll need to take it in shifts so at least one of us will be rested when the time to act arrives, if you would like I could take first watch?"

Smile your day could be worse, so I did smile and it was worse.
Faust listens carefully to Xiras's suggestion. What the blue mage said made sense. No use for both of them to be up all the time and be too tired to fight when the clerics do appear. Seems like a sound plan. We'll take shifts of say... 4 hours?
"4 hours sounds like a reasonable timeframe, agreed, Also tempting as it may be to have mana drawn at the ready, I suggest we do not do so as it may fatigue us more swiftly."
Turning his gaze back to the window, Xiras notes a farmhouse looming in the distance.
Once again the blue mage was right. Faust had never tried keeping mana at the ready for 4 hours straight, and he wasn't intending to try any time soon.
Settling back in his seat he enjoys the rest of the country ride.
Soon the carriage comes to a halt. The sounds of the thrull jumping down from its seat can be heard. A moment later it opens the door. Upon looking the Mages find themselves just outside of the farmhouse, a large simple but sturdy structure. As they exit the coach they see on either side what seems to be endless fields.
As soon as the doors open, Xiras steps from the carriage and marches towards the door, he knocks once. The crack of his knuckles against the door make a sound akin to a rifle which startles some nearly crows to take to the air in a torrent of flapping wings breifly darkening the sky above.

Smile your day could be worse, so I did smile and it was worse.
Faust follows quietly behind his fellow mage, wondering whether he would like to live in a place like this. It's so far from civilization. I suppose I'll appreciate the silence that farmlife offers, but it must get lonely eventually...
Xiras knock startles him out of his thoughts. He regains his composure and tries to look proffesional.
After a brief moment the door swings open bathing the Mages in lamp light. A tall, stocky man stands at the door. He wears simple clothing, his hair is long and tied back into a pony tail. He looks the Mages over, then he looks behind them and sees the coach.
You must be Faust and Xir...Xiras? Come on in and make yourselves at home.
He says as he motions for them to enter. From what they can see his home is a simple one with sparse seating, but plenty of open floor space.
Faust walks inside what seems to be a comfortable house to live in. Simple and spacey and it has the feeling of home. It's probably much more than just a place to live in for the farmer and his family. I seem to be visiting a few farm homes nowadays. Hello, my name is Faust.
He remembers to introduce himself this time.
"And I'm Xiras." picking up the end of Faust's sentence "This is a nice home indeed there is no need to apologize, sorry but may I ask where the bathroom is?
OOC: I'm heading to a conference this week so will not be posting as often, will try check in when I can.
Nice to meet you Lin. From what I heard this mage has been causing a lot of problems. We were told to wait in hiding until he shows up, and then apprehend him.
And now we wait.
Faust looks for a comfortable looking spot, and finds one in a corner, by a window. He settles in and waits for Xiras to come back, mentally preparing himself for the battle which was coming. They say he uses clerics. From what I've heard clerics are masters at protection and healing spells. Have to take him out quickly before he summons an army of healers. If he does, then I don't think there's anyway we can defeat him.
Faust closes his eyes as Xiras comes back, hoping to get some rest before the white mage comes. Before long he wandered off to sleep, hunched over in the corner.
Faust found himself being shaken awake from a dreamless sleep. My turn?
Yawning he stretches his arms, then moves to a place where he can see out the window better.

Its not much, but it is home for me and mine.

Hello, my name is Faust.
He remembers to introduce himself this time.
OOC: I'm heading to a conference this week so will not be posting as often, will try check in when I can.
He replied.
My name is Lin, in case you hadn't been told. I'm glad that my Lady has broughtthe two of you here. This Mage needs to be stopped.
Xiras wanders around the back of the house to find the outhouse.
He says as he starts walking away.
Faust looks for a comfortable looking spot, and finds one in a corner, by a window. He settles in and waits for Xiras to come back, mentally preparing himself for the battle which was coming.

"I'm guessing the farmer went to bed then, you can do likewise if want, I can take first watch, I don't feel much like sleeping anyway."
OOC : I'm back now, posting shall be more regular.
Obviously not in the early hours of the night., he realized his watch was drawing to a close. Better wake Faust
He wanders near Faust and taps him on the shoulder
"I hope you are well rested, its your turn to watch"
My turn?
Yawning he stretches his arms, then moves to a place where he can see out the window better.
