My Mistress, Athy of the Orzhov, is in need of two Mages to deal with a Mage in control of a large group of clerics. He has been attacking the farms on the outskirts of the lands that she controls. Capturing the Mage in question is preferred over his dead. The payment for service rendered will be gold and it will only be given after the completion of the contract. Please inquire at the Tavern.

Kira took the contract, rolled it back up and tied the seal back around it. She looked to her thrull, who already had his hand out, and passed the document off to him.
Well, shall we be down to business?
Kira asked as the thrull pulled out two more scrolls and handed them to her. She places them on the table.
These contain your means for getting to New Engdar. They will summon a large bat and thanks to they way in which these were scribed the bats know how to get to New Engdar once they are summoned. Once there head to the largest building, there you will find Lady Athy. My Lady looks like me except that she has black hair. She will provide any farther details that the two of you may need.
Faust takes the scroll and stores it into one of his cloak's many folds. We will do our best to capture this mage.
He exits out of the tavern, turning once to make sure that the moonfolk didnt have anymore questions that he needed to ask Kira.
As Xiras reads the scroll, the words upon it start to glow. Soon the entire scroll was glowing brightly. A beam of energy shot out towards the ground, just a few feet from the Mages. The energy took the shape of a large bat, and as the glow subsided the bat was made manifest. It glared and screeched loudly at its would be master.
Nice.
Faust eagerly begins reading from his own scroll, watching as the written words gives life to a bat big enough to carry him. Once the bat fully forms, he climbs up to its back, slipping off the first few times until he found that it is easier to stay on if he gripped onto its fur. Now then, how do I get it to fly... Ummm... go bat go? Up, up and away? Yip yip?
Xiras climbs onto his bats back, his legs protruding from under the wing, his arms around its neck. He spurs the bat with his heel, urging it to take to the sky.

Smile your day could be worse, so I did smile and it was worse.
Once the Mages were on the backs of the Bats they soon took flight. They hovered just over the highest roof for a moment, letting out high pitch sounds and gaining their bearings. Once they had adjusted and without warning they took off like a bat out off hell towards the North and New Engdar.
OOC: Go Avatar references. And yes I had to make the bat out of hell joke. This is a chance for the two of you to RP if you wish, but if you would rather press on let me know.
OOC: The avatar reference was quite nice, the bat out of hell made me lol, at work, got some akward looks from co-workers. Im happy to with either option RP or straight to the quest.
Xiras gripped tightly using his legs, extending his arms out to run his fingers through the clouds that streaked by. A gentle blue glow extends from his fingertips as he manipulates mana from the clouds. He yells to Faust
"Ah it feels like home, to be amougst the clouds again. At this rate I don't imagine it'll take long to get there at all?"

For a moment Faust was scared he might slip off as without warning the bat shot off towards the direction that Faust hopes is New Engdar. He quickly clutches tightly onto the bat, getting an annoyed shriek of protest in response. As he grew used to the speed, he began to relax slightly, but only slightly. Yes, at this rate. It looks like these bats really want that mage taken care of. I think I prefer flying on ornithopters...less unpredictable.
Faust's face becomes paler than it usually is, losing 3 shades of colour as the bat complains and pulls him into a stunt which he is sure would have killed him had he not been gripping tightly onto the bat's fur during the flight. After his depressingly short life had finished flashing, he resumes sitting, not daring to complain about the bat's attitude.
The bat rejoins the other in flight after it is sure that Faust has learned his lesson. The remainder of the pair's flight went by peacefully and the soon found themselves flying over New Engdar.
The town is built in the shape of a circle. The town's farm land is on the out skirts, with a few barns and country homes here and there. Once one gets to the core of the town you find a very built up up community, large market place, and nearing everything that you would expect to find in a larger place. In the center of town is a very tall and ominous building with the mark of the Culling Sun displayed prominently on it.
Xiras lands his bat gracefully and gently touching down outside the Orzhov building. He dismounts, then he realizes Faust is not there yet, he looks up into the sky to see Faust descending on his bat. As he waits patiently, he chuckles to himself remembering the antics of Faust's bat on the journey.

Faust had dreaded that his bat wouldn't cooperate, but it seems it was content, as they manage to land without any particular incidents. He sees Xiras chuckling, presumably about the corkscrew earlier. Not funny.
Having reached land, Faust took the time to gaze at the building, feeling a little intimidated by its daunting structure. It seems to radiate power. He marvels at the Culling sun, remembering a similar mark on the contract Kira handed him before. Is this what they use to mark themselves as Orzhov?
He looks back at the bats, unsure of what to do with them, before deciding that the people inside had already made arrangements to dismiss their creatures. So, are we supposed to knock or something?
He stifles his laughter at Faust's words, assuming as the antics were this is not the time for mirth. there is a job to do.
...
"I presume so"
Xiras knocked heavily on the door, the sound of which echoes hauntingly out the surrounding buildings. He throws his companion a slightly disconcerted glance, then turns back to the door to await patiently

Soon after they landed and the Mages dismounted, the bats vanish back into the Æther. As the duo stands at the door waiting for it to be opened, the townsfolk of New Engdar halt their daily activities and watch the Mages. A thrull, similar in appearance to Kira's thrull, opens the door to the Manor and peers out at the Mages. The Mages can see figures in the shadows behind the thrull, but they can't quite make out what they are.
Hello.
The thrull says dryly as he looks the Mages over.
Welcome to the Hemeranyx Estate, presided over by Lady Athy Hemeranyx. Who may I say who has arrived and what is your business here?
As he speaks he makes a slight waving which sends the townsfolk back to their own business.
Faust stood fidgeting awkwardly as the citizens watched them, always shy when he is the center of attention. He checks to make sure his hood is on properly, and hiding his face. My name is Faust, and this is Xiras. We were sent by Lady Kira to help with a cleric problem.
Very well. This way. Lady Athy will want to meet with you.
The thrull opens the door just a bit more, allowing the Mages to enter. He leads them through the Manor's ornate hallways and up its jet staircase. They travel up to the third floor. At the top of the stair is a long hall with statues made of obsidian lining the walls. The thrull stops at the top and points towards the double doors at the other end of it.
You will find Lady Athy through those doors Mages.
And I thought the outside was impressive.
Without their guide the boy was sure he would become lost in the manor's confusing corridors. The tour ended at a set of double doors that led to Lady Athy. Faust steps forward and lightly knocks on it.
The lavish decor spread throughout the building comforts Xiras, the Lady is obviously well endowed with coin and should be able to part with the fee for this contract quite readily, no need for stern words after.
However the shear horror portrayed by some the statues makes him wonder what would happen if they fail the job, the mere thought sends a chill down his spine, causes him to shudder visibly. Best not the think about that.
Faust's light knock on the door snaps him back to attention, he awaits the reply.

The Mages walk into the huge office. Row upon row of books and other documents line the walls from the floor to the top of the vaulted ceilings. Covering most of the jet floor is a large rug with the culling sun sewn into it. At the other end of the dark room sits a large highly polished dark mahogany desk. Sitting at the desk a woman, well curved in her features just as Kira was, but with ebony hair.
I am Athy. I presume that the two of you are here in response to my commission in Estark?
Everything here is so... dark. Black statues, black stairs, black tables and rugs. I think I like it here.
Faust takes off his hood revealing a pale, thin face of a boy who has seen many things in his time. Yes, we heard about your problem and are here to help in whatever way we can. I believe that we do not have to kill the man? Simply capture him?
