The following people have permission to post here: Myself, any other WPL, the players on this quest (defined below), and anyone else that I give permission to.
Anyone who posts in here who doesn’t have permission will be disparaged, disrespected, discombobulated, disarmed, disenfranchised, discredited, diseased, disfigured, disemboweled, dismembered, dissolved, and defenestrated. And if I’m in a bad mood, it’ll be in that order. Whatever remains will be given to Lou to do with as he pleases.
Cyouni/Cyouni
Lou motions to the entrance to the sewer, motioning to Cyouni to head down first.
Lou sighs. "I will explain everything," he says, "But we are a little pressed for time. I will explain on the way. You don't want me to make you get down there, do you?" he grins.
Cyouni follows Lou closely. After being called to Ravnica, he's not going to miss the chance to find out what it's about. Plus, it'd be a bad idea to get lost in the sewers.
Needing light, he reaches into his satchel and pulls out a gem. It expands into a metal hilt capped with a snarling head. The head almost seems to breathe fire as a blade of fire ignites, bringing a modicum of light to their surroundings.
"A few thousand years ago, there was a disaster on my home plane. It got ripped apart. I got caught in the middle. I was flung through the multiverse, and landed on this... pathetic plane." He lets out a growl. "I was a demon lord on my home plane. Here? I was just a pathetic demonic upstart. I had to start from scratch. And I did. I fought my way up. I ruled half the continent before they mustered up a force to defeat me. They summoned five angels to fight me. From across the whole of time, they came, and attacked." He laughed. "I did manage to kill one before they stopped me. They couldn't kill me, however. I had found how to select people that I could transfer my essence into. You can call them my 'phylacteries,' if you will." He smiled at Cyouni. "I guess you figured that out."
Cyouni ponders. So that's the origin of Akroma's Memorial. If this is the demon that killed her, he'd better play it safe.
"Indeed," he replies, keeping his tone bland, uninterested, though inside he's anything but. "So how does that relate to you getting back to your home plane?"
He rounds on Cyouni now. His whole body a visage of red fury, enhanced by the glow of the stick in Cyouni's hand.
"I've been stuck on this miserable little ball of dirt for millennia! I want to go home, and you," he grabs Cyouni's wrist, and pulls up his sleeve, revealing the tattoos, "Are my answer."
"Mana and power can only get you so much. You can only channel a certain amount of it at any one time before it becomes painful. You, however, have been storing mana. Saving up the power."
He leans in close. Cyouni can feel his warm, fetid breath as he says "This power is my ticket home. I need you for your power."
"Oh, that's the easy bit," he says, grinning. Of course, without lips, it's hard to tell whether or not he's grinning. "The tricky bit is making sure you're not consumed by all the mana you've been storing."
"Living beings don't understand what kind of power they can hold," Lou says, reflectively. "We just have to have a valid receptacle for the power. In this case, I have four."
Cyouni takes the blade in his right hand again and proceeds to follow Lou. Finally, some of the mysteries are going to be cleared up. And maybe he can figure out a way to remove the bond between him and Lou while he's at it.

But the whole scenario is odd. Why would Lou need his help to return to Alara? Lou's definitely more powerful than him, at least right now.
"Hope you have a light," says Lou, and starts off into the darkness.
Needing light, he reaches into his satchel and pulls out a gem. It expands into a metal hilt capped with a snarling head. The head almost seems to breathe fire as a blade of fire ignites, bringing a modicum of light to their surroundings.
He leads Cyouni through the sewers. "What do you know about," he spat, "Angels?"
"Indeed," he replies, keeping his tone bland, uninterested, though inside he's anything but. "So how does that relate to you getting back to your home plane?"

"So, what now? How do I get these off me and into whatever you're doing with them?"
Lou leads Cyouni on into the darkness.

He accelerated, splashing through the sewers.
He won't be stopped now. He's so close to getting the bond off and finally ending this whole demon business.
"Tell me what happened, or I'll make your death as painless as possible."
"Golgari Plant-Zombies..." the wretched goblin rasps. "Don't like us in their territory..."
"Again? I thought we gave them the message last time!"
"Didn't listen..." the goblin glances at the corpses of his fellow slashers.
Lou drops the goblin in the muck with a wet thwup.
