"Buying time sounds good to me, I can help by either sending the creatures back from wence they came or hold them off by countering stuff they try to use."
"I can agree with that plan. After all, between the destructive power of green and red, Hiko and I shouldn't have too much trouble destroying the sides of the raider's charge line. You have a very tactical mind Yasashiko, so I'm sure if worst comes to worst you can devise another plan. Well then, hopefully we'll arrive at our destination before too long."
Artemis started thinking about how best to manage his resources for when they did arrive at the town. After all, he would be on his own if Yashashiko's plan was to be the course of action.
Artemis was broken out of his deep thought by the sudden appearance of the head. Koruam had beaten him in asking who the newcomer was, so Artemis waited for a response before deciding what to do next.
"Alrighty then." Koruam smiled and turned to his companions.
"So guys, let's fill the time up by getting to know each other a bit better. Where do you guys all come from?"
yasashiku smiled at the person who poped his head in and just smiled and blinked. then he turned to koruam.
"well as you could tell by my clothing im from kamigawa, technically an island nation off of the largest contenent of kamigawa called Ohito. Unfortunately, a disaster struck the island and sunk it, but the amount of mana used to try and prevent the natural disaster was so great that it caused rifts to open up in the Aether. Myself, and perhaps a handful of others, survived. So far its only speculation, because i have not seen anyone else yet... the only thing i can think of is my brethren are scattered across the multiverse due to these random Aether-holes, and, well, my job is to find them, and perhaps figure out a way to bring them back to the plane of kamigawa, and perhaps figure out a way to raise my country out of the sea useing the knowleage of all the colors that i will learn along the way."
Yasashiku then looked down and frowned
"I took this mission because I don't want to see any more innocent people hurt and killed, also perhaps someone else may have been transported to Dominaria, and perhaps mabye one is living there..." Yasashiku produces a map from his belt "This is why I'm carrying this map around. After I'm done here I plan on trekking around this continent to see if my brethren are here, then I'm moving on to the next plane in the multiverse."
Artemis nodded as the escort informed them that the caravan should reach Kuza by nightfall, and then listened to Yasahiko as he explained his background and why he was on the mission.
"I'm from a tribe of elves who reside in a forest called Llanowar. As part of my enlightenment journey I am to study the colors of mana and improve myself. I have chosen to better myself by helping others. I also wish to learn the finer points of the other colors of mana, and perhaps someday use more than just green. By the way, Yasashiko-I would be glad to help you on your quest. We wouldn't have to travel together, but two people searching would be better than one in any case. And if you have to travel to another plane, I could continue looking on this one. I can understand if this is something you want to do yourself, however. Just offering. Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, I took this mission because I felt it would be a good start to my enlightenment. I'll get to see how other cultures live while testing my strength against those that outnumber me."
Figuring he had been talking to long already, Artemis stopped at that and waited for the others to offer information about themselves.
"thank you artemis i would apreceate it very much so i can use all the help i could get im useing house lat nam as a gathering point for the refugees. if you bring them there barrin will know what to do."
yasashiku smiled with a tear in his eye moved that a stranger could be so kind to him.

"They may imprison me, break my bones, beat me up and even kill me but in the end they will have my dead body never my Obedience!" -Ghandi-
"Plains!" "Mountain!" "Forest!" "Island!" "Swamp!" "GO MAGIC!"
"By your mana combined, I am CAPTAIN MAGIC!"
"meditation brings wisdom, lack of meditation brings ignorance. know well what leads you forward and what holds you back." -Buddah-
"A warriors best Ally is his quick wits and a trusty sword." -unknown-
"Well, I'm glad that I can help. You can tell me more about what the others might look like later. Until then, I'll just assume they all look kind of like you."
Artemis smiled reassuringly to make sure that his friend knew that he was joking but also being serious. He didn't miss the small tear that came to Yasashiku's eye-the man from Kamigawa was genuinely happy. Artemis made a mental note to look for anyone who might appear to be from Kamigawa.
Hiko listened to Artemis and Yasashiku, remained silent for a moment, and then speaks
"I don't really know where I come from, for most of my life me and my people lived in a mountain region south here, but somehow I've ever felt there was something strange in this plane, like somehow I didn't belong here, also, I've had some dreams about another place, I think it's another plane although I'm not sure why. I didn't get any direct answers when I asked.
Life in my village was boring, there were just others flamekin, and we weren't allowed to go too far outside it, but once I started to go a bit furhter outside each time I could and nobody was watching, and started to see many different places and races, so one day I decided to escape, to know more about this world, and maybe one day I'll know about that other plane I've dreamt about"
While talking about this her face started to look a bit depressed, when she finished she looked really down. She remains silent for a moment and then suddenly her face expresion changes and she talks again
Koruam patiently listened to all the stories till Hiko asked his.
"I am from the Esturin islands off coast, south of Durkwood Forest. I never knew my parents though, my grandfather taught me and raised me. He was an archeologist in his younger years in the land of Argive, working for the nobles there. He was my inspiration for artifice, which is my dream some day, to become a great artificer myself, like the ancient Thran race.
My grandfather tried to teach me blue magic which I just started but he passed away three weeks ago..."
Koruam sighed while pointing to the scar that crossed his face.
"I got this when I was younger, I was tinkering with my grandfather's artifacts and suddenly BOOM right in my face. Lucky for me it wasn't anything serious except for the shrapnel that flew off it.
After my grandfather deceased I decided to take my journey to the big city and become an adept at the art of artifice."
He patted Yasashiku on his shoulder.
"I too will keep my eyes open for you, as of today I am a member of the house of Lat-Nam."
He looked at Artemis in admiration.
"Wow, a multicolour elf in the making huh? Well you have a long road ahead of you then, I wish you the best of luck."
Then he turned to Hiko and gave a smile.
"I am sure you will one day unravel your dreams and find your homeplane."
Artemis listened intently to Hiko and Kuroam's stories. It seemed each of them had a different reason to be on this mission. It was interesting that all of them were united on this mission and yet none of them had exactly the same overall goal.
Looking back out of the caravan, it seemed the sky was getting darker. They were bound to get to the town before long. Artemis returned to planning how best to manage his mana.

"thank you for your kind words I have a few other ideas if this one dose not go to plan so do not worry too much should new stratagey be needed."
yasashiku then went silent and closed his eyes in meditation.
