And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

Remember, the girl that just killed an aspect of herself before literally consuming her?
Yeah, I don't see her handling a pissing match in any way other than a duel.

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.

OOC: You do realize you might as well put the first Shepherd at 35...it's pretty obvious by now. Might take a while for them both to die, but overall, we've got this in the bag.
OOC: Jeez, guys, only 18 minutes and you're hollering
In a display of humilation, the shepherd falls to the Bat... surely, a thing to remember, that even the mighty can be brought down by a lowly creature. It squeaks at its master in satisfaction.
The first one sees the death of her other half and she shrieks, dissipating as well.

OOC: It's too much like a commercial. Half a second before the climax...and they cut to commercials.
Cyouni sighs in satisfaction. "That was annoying," he comments, releasing his creatures and most of his mana. Though the battle's over, he's still wary of another attack.
OOC: I resent that! I wasn't hollering. It was more like really loud whispering.
Kennar sags with exhaustion. "Finally," he says in a dull voice. "I thought they would never leave."
Shaking his head, Kennar stands straight up again. He blocks his mind from the weariness; something he learned how to do in Lorwyn. A survival technique in case he was ever hunted by elves. There will be concequences later, but for now he can't afford to rest.
"The house must be close," Kennar says to Cyouni. "The guardians were quite powerful."
Kennar looks at Cyouni with a bit of a smile. "I'm impressed. Your magic is... intriguing, to say the least."
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
Just then, breaking the camaraderie between the two mages, Kheira Laucian flies in and lands, her drake disappating as she sees the flamekin. "Oh, hey Kennar!! How are you? I was just.. erm.. flying by.. and.." She laughed, nervously.
OOC: I just made a small note in Planar Chaos...a small suggestion...
Cyouni chuckles. "So is yours. I've fought beside mages that use fire before, but I never saw anything like the last spell you used. There was a spell that could summon a huge fireball repeatedly, though..." His eyes grow distant for a second as he remembers the battle against Lou, then snap back to reality.
Changing the subject, he notes, "The dwarf did say the house was on the next hill, though..."
He frowns. "Don't think we've got enough spells left to deal with it right now, though..."
As the newcomer drops in, Cyouni turns to her, his eyes flashing. His hand comes up, glittering with mana. Another enemy?
"Kheira?!" Kennar says, utterly perplexed. He can barely think of something to say. She was the last person he expected to see so far out of Estark. "I... Uh... You have terrible timing."
Kennar points to the circular patch of burned earth he created. "We just got attacked. Would have been nice to have some backup."
Still shocked to see Kheira, he says "What are you doing out here?"
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
Kheira laughs a little and rubs the back of her head. "Heh..sorry.. I guess the wind was against me.. you two seem to have taken care of it, though.." Seeing Cyouni, she curtsies a little and extends a hand. "I am Kheira Laucian, and I guess I'm coming along with you guys.. I was looking for work and I wondered where you ran off to, Kennar, and.. well, here I am!"
Looking slightly less confused, Kennar chuckles. "Trust me. I attract more trouble than work. I assume the creepy little girl filled you in to our location and why we're here?"
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
"Yeah... but.. I'm hazy on the details.. she was creeping me out and I got out of there as fast as I could... she told me where you guys went, at least." She nodded, shivering at the thought of it.
OOC: Put it this way. For anyone wanting to know who Lou is, think Faustian deal. "Pactbound Summoner", "Divinely Challenged"... how many hints do I have to give you?
Cyouni offers a polite smile. "There's apparently a curse that was tied to this house 150 years ago. Our job is to break the curse."
Kheira shrugs. "Oh, well, is that all. I've done this sort of work before.. lead the way, guys." She says with a grin. "Though next time I'll try to help out instead of arrive late."
Interesting how she claims to have done this sort of thing before and then proceeds to tell you to lead the way. I'd be wary of a dagger in your back from this one, Pet.
Cyouni nods slightly, the polite smile still on his face. Perhaps so...
"I'd suggest we rest first, however. Between the spells we expended on the dwarf and the spirits, I don't really think we have enough to deal with a 250-year old curse."
Of course, that would be without the spells in reserve...regardless, I'm still not at the strength I'd like.
"Maybe," Kennar says thoughtfully. "I'm nearly out of fire and lightning. It would probably be a good thing to get my strength back before we go waltzing into a cursed house."
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p

Seems awfully convenient that this mage shows up right after you defeated the angels...
You would do well to be wary of her. She may have a hidden agenda for showing up out of the blue.
